Vikings: Valhalla (2022– )

Enjoyable but historically false

Vikings valhalla is a very enjoyable series but its more so historically fiction with more fiction than historically accuracy. Regardless of the huge debate on the black female jarl Håkon, which is extremely unlikely at best that is more realistic than the complete false events of history. The series follows real historical figures like Harald hardrada and Saint olaf but their histories are very different and do not follow historical fact. This is a shame because by following true events perhaps with a time skip or 2 the series would be more accurate and more enjoyable. But the series has some connections to history and it is enjoyable so it deserves a 7/10 and a watch if you enjoy vikings like battle and action.

The Guilty (2021)

I haven't watched the danish "version"

Heres my perspective from not having watched the original danish "version". I loved this movie and from what I read from the reviews the only critics seem that its a "hollywood" or "american" version yada yada and that its not "original". But thats all stupid as one shouldnt rate a movie based on it being a copy of another. The acting was great, the story was great and the setup and delivery was great. Some people wanted to see a bit more of what happened other than the dispatchers perspective but that would have ultimately made the movie worse.

I will now go and watch the danish "version" and im sure its better but I did love this movie and I did not know of any of the plot so I was suprised at every turn. I can imagine if the danish "version" is the same in terms of plot that it will be a bit different knowing what turns the movie will take.

Tale of Tales (2015)

People who rate this movie low were disatisfied.

Some of you decide to give it a "1" star simply because you were thrown of by this movie. This movie is suppose to throw you of, it is a werid dissatisfying, bloody and bleak compliation of twisted fair tales. You either like or dislike this. This is a completely different category than what you are rating it as.

You cannot rate a romance movie a 1 star because it wasnt a horror movie. Same goes for this twisted fairy tale. This is only made for a certain group of people, and its a well made movie if you enjoy twisted and weird fairy tales, that dont necessarily have a satisfying ending. This movie can actually be interpreted in many ways and teach us a lot.

Spoilers: Some people are for example disatisfied with the ogre marring the lady being, well an ogre. Some of you wanted the big, ugly and scary ogre to turn out to be a nice gentlemen and you were disatifised with the result. Others wanted the old lady to keep her young looks, and others again wanted the queen to not die and instead realize that her son and his friend were good for each other. Basically you were disatisfied with the endings, well tough luck that is what the movie is suppose to do and I for one loved it. I would give the movie an 8/10 but im giving it a 10/10 because of all the undeserved low revies.

Army of the Dead (2021)

Stop giving it crazy low ratings

Everyone seems to be making a hizzy fit and are giving this a 1-3. Don't get me wrong I was dissapointed as well and the daughter character ruined everything.

But at the end of he day it wa sa decent movie deserving somewhat of a 6.5-7

I highly dislike the people who give movies either a 8-10 or a 1-3 and nothing in between. Just because you were dissapointed by the potential doesn't mean you can give it an unfair rating

Worth a watch if you've seen all the other good stuff but nothing too good.

The Dead Don't Die (2019)

Why the movie is badly reviewed

The people either expected the walking dead or zombieland which is why they are disappointed with this weirs bee od an original movie that breaks the 4th wall in an interesting way.

If you want to enjoy it take it as something weird and original and don't go in expecting anyway, try to put away your stereotypes on how "zombies" should act or be.

Giving it a 10 to up the bad reviews who just didn't get what they expected. The movie is weird and certainly not for everyone but its well made and ingenious in its own way. My real rating would be a 7 or 8.

Outside the Wire (2021)

2 african american men dress up in civilian clothes to blend in?

Are you seriously trying to tell me that these 2 african american men, who dont speak the language and are black are going to not be a target as long as they dknt wear an american uniform? Robots in this was pretty cool so was the concept of the cicik war. But the people and logic was just stupid, so were all the human characters really.

Cadaver (2020)

A lot of people here are commenting on the "poor acting" one of the major factors in this is that you are all watching the ENGLISH DUB, yes "DUB". This movie is originally in Norwegian, a lot of things translate poorly and therefore things seem a lot worse in the english dub. I watched it first in Norwegian and it's pretty good, although there are parts of the movie that are a bit bad story and plot wise there are a lot of great parts too.

One should also note the difference in culture I could never imagine Americans in a situation like this agreeing to going to such an event, whereas norwegians would definitely be open for it.

I would review he movie overall a 6.5/10 but I thought all english reviewers that have had a quick watch on English should know that the dub is much worse.

I personally loved he concept and metaphors of the movie. Lamba to the slaughter portrayed in a great way. The director is merely 23 years old and I believe he will achieve great things with this being his first big movie.

An amazing educational video

This is how all Kindergartens should be and is a great video for people to reflect on how kindergartens are and how they should be. Especially useful to show people who are going to work with children.

Hostiles (2017)

Emotional acting is fantastic

Yes you can pick at history, geography and a tiny bit 9n the plot but the way the actors show emotion in this movie is incredible. I myself was especially hit when A certain character is standing over the grave of a different character and is try8ng his best to suppress his emotion. This shows to me what many of us men do even at times when we don't need to. It was truly powerful he wants to just break down and cry for his fallen friend yet he has to stay strong and continue. The movie was quite tense in a good way and at other times simple. I loved it, and would definitely recommend you to watch it.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

This entire movie felt like a really long Introduction.... And I loved it!

Joker (I) (2019)

It's not the joker

I think this is a great movie and it shows great character development. But this focuses less on the joker as "the joker" and more on just a crazy psychopath and mental disorders. As always in movies disorders are taken to the extreme and very unrealistic which is fine when it's superhero movies or unnatural movies but this didn't go for that type. There is hardly any reference to bat man what so ever. If you remove the occasional Bruce Wayne on the TV all we have is that one scene outside the cinema. Also They really made the Wayne look like bad people which I don't think was justified. If they did it in a way showing the jokers illusion then fine Wayne family truly did care about the people of Gotham in the dark knight and such. Anyway it's a great movie but I don't see why it was nessecary to name it the joker. This reminded me a lot of V for Vendetta if they put that in the Batman Gotham universe. Again the only thing I don't understand is why is this the joker it's a great standalone movie but it isn't the joker. Anyway I highly recommend this movie it's a great standalone movie but does not really connect to the franchise in a way I wish it did.

The Rain (2018–2020)

To the people angry at the kid

Honestly the fact that you guys got so angry and annoyed by the decisions and actions of the kid in the first episode is a good thing! It shows that the series did what it wanted to do. I mean you need to think realistically on the subject. In a real situation no one would be prepared for this. That simple rain will bring an infection? It would hit everyone by surprise and especially. Children would not understand it. I mean do you expect the 10 year old (or however old he is) to understand the situation and make great survival decisions like all us nerds who watch post apocalyptic shows would. I don't understand how you guys are taking it as a bad thing. How stupid would it be if the kid understood everything and did the best survival decisions and such it is ridiculous that is one of the problems I see with post apocalyptic shows these days. Everyone makes the right decisions. The best part is making wrong decisions and then learning from them slowly adapting to the new world. And being forced to put aside ethical morals to make the right survival decisions. A kid can't be expected to make the right decision. Here is an example later in the series there is a flashback. In the flashback a kid is in a car with his mom and his mom accidentally hits another car then goes out to talk with the driver apologizing. Then rain comes and boom dead parents. Now the kid can't possibly understand that it is the rain or what is happening so confused he steps outside to check on his mom and boom dead. Where we are thinking no don't go but in reality most kids would probably go.

So everyone who is screaming at the kid together with me. Good. It is what the show wanted us to do. It managed to get us emotional and angry at the lad. You all went right into it but the fact you are giving negative reviews is just pathetic.

There are certain things to dislike the acting isn't the best especially in the first episode but honestly it gets better and is decent+ if you wanna debate the realism of the virus and all that is a whole mother subject but it is a post apocalyptic. The realism isn't about what the disease, virus, infection ,etc is. The realism is about the decisions in the world that has suffered this apocalyptic event. That is what the shows should and are focusing on.

Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019) Season 8, Episode 6

The episode itself is ea 5/10 and i usually review honest but...

I usually review shows and episodes honestly. I mean GoT can never be a 1/10 it can certinly be a 6 and such but people tend to rate 1/10 if I dont like things. However this episode was just dissapointing. I am one of the few people who dont hate episode 5 (siege of kingslanding) I even defended it. But holy "Cow" what a dissapointing just straight up happy ending where everything goes good. This is not Game of Thrones. I dont care that brandon is king but the fact that it happened so easily and well for the good guys is disgusting. I hope they rewrite season 8. so far I thought everything was great but they managed to ruin the series completely with 4 episodes. (Episode 1 and 2 were fine) even though as a book reader I dislike how the show did Euron Greyjoy and such I think the show was great season 1-7)

Season 1 is the best(uncensored) its amazing and the character building is fantastic. In season 2 they ruin everything great they built up. They change from a thriller-ish dark style which makes you actually fear the terraformars to a light and colourful world were characters who were hard suddenly went girly. They changed a lot like this and took away most of the good story they built up.

Simply explained watch season 1 and keep it as an open ending because season 2 is just bad...

The Tough Guys (2013)

Book good, movie...eh

Book is alright. Movie sucks is childish and children get bored in it and dont like it. Its very overdone and they made it very typiciql sterotypes for bullies and nerds in movies. I wish theybused more real characters.

Rita (2012–2020)

Season 4 saved it

I am from Norway and me and my sisters have watched this series together. Season 1 was amazing and it really got us to love the series. Season 2 kept it quite good and we kept loving the characters we fell in love with. But at Season 3 we all agreed that it was getting worse and we got bored of some of the characters. When we found out Season 4 came out we didn't watch it at first but I wanted to see how it all went with the Characters I once fell in Love with. After watching the first episode I had a feeling this might get us back into the series we all Loved.

I got all of us together and we sat down and watched Season 4 IT WAS AMAZING! Seriously the acting was perfect and the younger version of Rita and her story was done so perfect. We all understood why she hated her mother for leaving and more. It all made sense and it was incredible to watch.

It was sad but heartwarming and the emotions we felt together was really amazing.

I dont think this series could have been as good if season 4 wasn't made the way it was and I sadly think alot of people have already given up on the series and wont get to Season 4. But if they do they will truly love this series.

I was personally amazed on how all the acting was put together and it is hard to explain how good it was.

But if you have not gotten to Season 4 you are missing out watch Season 4 its WORTH IT!

The Wall (II) (2017)

Honestly I liked it

Im glad it ended how it did. Its hard to explain why I liked it so much but I will try. All the way through the movie I tried to plan the ending the good will win. Either Issac will snipe the iraqi when he had promised never to snipe again beacuse of his dead friend that he killed on accident. Or if John Cena was going to snipe him. Or if the Iraqi would just let him go after talking with him. But I was wrong and it completley shocked and surpised me and at first I was frustrated. But later I realised wow the movie actually suprised me. Its not one of thoose typical the good wins beacuse in most movies theese days a few good guys die but the good guys sitll win. Im glad more movies and series are starting to dare making the "good" guys loose.

Again its a bit hard to explain why its a good ending but For those giving it negative reviews they mostly give 1 star. Be honest it was atleast a 3 star even if you look at iit from your point of view. all they really do is take 1 star to get the movie down in stars beacuse they were unsatifised. They wanted the movie to end the way they wanted it to end. Its sad that people do that it really is. And hey im not giving it a 10 star im giving it a 7 beacuse I belive thats what it deserves.

Silicon Valley (2014–2019)

Amazing and hilarious

This show is so good

I't has a storyline with comedy, failing and winning I really loved watching the show there were moments I could not even stop laughing.

Hbo has a lot of good shows but i didn't really like all of the comedy series

So when I found Silicon Valley i got really happy

I'm not gonna spoil much in this review but its just an amazing series i recommend everyone to watch it.

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

Too good

it is too good to explain in a review just watch it! Its too hard to explain i tried to write a long review about it but i realized it got to much. This is by far the best series i have watched till now and i love medieval and fantasy so this was perfect for me. The series has epic large scale battles and horrific massacres and they do all the scenes amazing.
