If you don't mind his overly enthusiastic optimistic jumping on the couch acting versus her emotionless grating monotonous voice... the songs are great tho. the only thing keeps me from turning it off are the songs. five stars for the songs.

Artemis Fowl (2020)

I honestly do not understand all the lashing and bad reviews.. i read the books and although there is absolutely different characterization and stories, i think it's understandable.. just pretend it all happens in an alternate universe.. i don't see people complaining over the Marvel Cinematic Universe.. so why not with Fowl CInematic Universe? i give 8 stars because i only give 9 as my highest score.. and i don't think i ever give any movies 9 stars :)

I really like it! i was expecting so so production and less than average acting, but turned out really enjoying the whole thing. the pacing is fine, there are plot holes here and there but you don't really feel them, or perhaps intentional.

I see the writer(s) probably a fan of Welcome to Night Vale? there is reference to one of the character of The Man in The Tan Jacket during earlier scenes in the gym... (The confusion about the names Emmet and Everett)

Kids nowadays! what mabel does is very typical of kids nowadays who are environmentally "conscious" ... typical social justice warriors so hell bent on contributing something to the environment and society without considering their parents feelings and worries. and mostly will end up destroying the environment themselves!! kudos for the writers to bring this topic up.
