The Heart of a Dancer (2016)
A film that evokes your emotions and awakens your passion to follow your dreams without loosing sight of what's really important
John Wayne Bosley does a wonderful job of stimulating your emotions, taking you from tears to laughter, to both at the same time, throughout the film. (Bring a box of Kleenex) The music and imagery, along with camera angles and perspectives enhance the emotional connection between the viewer and the story. The dancers are talented young ladies, whom are real and believable students of the art. Chere Bernhard connects the viewer to the emotions and pride of being a parent, making sacrifices, fear, hope, support, and protecting a child. Anyone who has ever aspired to follow their dreams can relate to the difficult choices and sacrifices that Claire and those around her must make. Together Claire and her mom show us that accomplishing what we set out to do, doesn't always appear the way we had first envisioned and often success goes unrecognized because it looks differently than what we had expected.
