The Quest (2017)
7/10
A decent effort to showcase farmer issues.
2 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Ringan is an award winning Marathi movie which explores and describes the troubles and rightly the 'quest' of a farmer in Maharashtra. It showcases the issues faced by farmers today in Maharashtra and much of the country.

The movie is slow and thus feels a little stretched but is very realistic and without the typical Bollywood songs or irritating background noise. The actors Shashank Shende and Sahil Joshi play their role brilliantly and are able to connect you to the characters well. Direction of the movie is good and director does well in depicting the story with authenticity of a Maharashtra farmer and his surroundings.

Overall Ringan does have its loopholes but is a well made film which takes you to a spiritual and self enlightening journey. Inspite of its snail slow pace (which might invoke a yawn) it is worth a watch and a movie you won't regret spending time on.

Simple, beautiful and releatable series
19 May 2017
The Timeliners seem to be the new entrant in the web series domain and boy what a lovely series to start with. The script is of a middle class Indian family and their daily conversations and struggle. Actors are familiar faces and portray their roles very well.

What makes this series so good is their perfectly appropriate episode length and the good comic timing. Also the show does great work in depicting both youth and older generations thought process, way of living and emotions and thus appeal to both.

In the end it is a simple and sweet show. Keep up the good work Timeliners! Eagerly awaiting new season.
