Kötü Çocuk (2017)
This movie is just like my barrack
Good Things About This Movie: Nothing. Bad Things About This Movie: It Exists. It doesn't even deserve 1/10, because it fails at every level of being a movie. Whoever thinks this is a good movie is either a child (a really stupid one) or a mentally challenged person. Anyone who took part in this movie should never ever enter a movie set.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Oxygen-breathing human beings which gave this movie a 10 exist... yeah. wow.
This... This is so nothing. %80 of the movie relies on cgi and not good kind of cgi. It's hard to believe that this comes from the same guy who've made the Léon: The Professional. The dialogue is bad, acting is bad, no character depth, storyline is obnoxious... And the scene that Rihanna dances. Oh my spaghetti monster. I hardly contained myself from screaming ''What was the point of that scene?'' and throwing what ever I'm holding at that moment to the screen. This was almost as bad as Suicide Squad. Just think about that. What is the key elements of making an above- average science-fiction/action movie that takes place in the future or in another dimension? Choose a main subject that hasn't been used for hundreds and thousands of times, make it consistent, pace it well, make us care for the characters and put a reason behind the action scenes which we will care. This movie fails at everything I've just stated, and it doesn't even look good despite all that cgi. Who gives a f.ck about a rat which swallows a pearl and craps out hundreds of it? I take a crap every day. It does not feel important or vital or a big deal.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
Of course it' good, it's Tim Burton!
Very well done; well-acted, well-directed, and well arranged for the silver screen. Watching this made feel like I'm re-reading that beautiful book from my childhood. There are only two things that bugs me; one of them is very subjective; when I've read the book back in the days, I've always dreamt the the insides of the chocolate factory would have a blue sky so it would have a much more brighter atmosphere from the dark and cold city thus it would create a great contrast. The second thing that bugged me is much more objective but it's far less important when compared; the narrator appears at the beginning of the movie, establishing things just like in the book, then... he's gone. And then the appears out of nowhere. It feels a little disjointed. Burton took the source material, respected it more than any other comic or novel based production and achieved something bigger than lots of other comic or novel based movie. Well done.
Assassin's Creed (2016)
This was as bad as I expected it to be (spoilers)
Don't get me wrong. I wanted the like this film, because I really liked the first 4 games and the casting wasn't terrible. But I expected it to be bad, because I've never encountered with a well-made video game based movie ever in my life. But if your movie starts with a text explaining the events which you can establish visually in literally 10 minutes, that means your aim is not making a good movie, hell it's not even making a movie, it's just making a 2 hour advertisement for Ubisoft and upcoming assassin's creed games. Just think about this. How shameless and lazy it is. You're making a movie, but instead telling the story visually, you're writing it on the screen. If this is acceptable, you can even write the whole script and charge the audience like they saw a movie. The action scenes were okay I guess. They were well choreographed, well written(just the action scenes!), but poorly directed.
