Z-Listers (2014)

great concept.

I watched Z-listers after watching the short film starring Martin Ballantyne. I was a big fan of the original short film, Z-listers takes it more into a gritty comedy. The concept is great and relatable. This film takes it more to another level. Both contain their own story very well. The casting choice is top notch and it felt like it could've been 20mins or so longer. I will definitely watch more from the same director. It amazes me how much he has pulled off with what he had at his disposal. The cinematography was great, I liked the handheld feel, that made you feel quite close to the situation.

Z-Lister (2012)

heartwarming story.

Loved this short film. It was funny in places and had a lot of good direction. The overall story was very clever and heartwarming, it made me want to rewatch it. I liked both the main character and the love interest. I've known Kris Smith for a while and it's very impressive how he has created a great body of impressive work. I will definitely check out Kris' other work, certainly a director to look out for, who is also multi-talented for sure. The performances were also great as well, and it had a real feel-good ending. Definitely respect everyone efforts in making a long short film. I will re-watch it for sure. 10/10.

New Year's Eve (2023)

great ending!

Really enjoyed catching this film, I often find New Year's Eve can be quite daunting, so I could relate to the Will character. I also enjoyed the constant interplay with the police department scenes and the date, it was a great insightful way to hold the audience.

It's a well thought out film, that keeps you gripped until the very end. One to watch for sure during the new year's eve celebrations! Hopefully one to dig out each year to see. Loved the ending that made you wanting just a bit more.

It plays with the notion of New Year's Eve so well, as It's always challenging to meet someone genuine during that time of year. Highly recommend, loved the soundtrack also.

GoldenEye (1995)

My favourite James Bond Film, Sean Bean is brilliant!

I like the Daniel Craig films, but they lack how much a good villain Sean Bean was in this. It's awesome to see James Bond contemplating what he is up against on the beach before the final act of the story. It is a bit goofy in some ways with the over sexual female villain but It's still my top bond film. Also has the best sequence with Q and it's really funny. Sean Bean deserves praise as he fights out with Bond and even utters an iconic line. Casino Royale is my second favourite bond.

Psychosis (III) (2011)

an artistic and a very relevant film about the subject of Psychosis

The powerful music with some of the imagery reminded me of Christopher Nolan's work, how they portrayed psychosis was very accurate, the editing is also a highlight, a film that deserves to be watched more than once.

Dream Seeker (2018)

Tim Clague is a wonderful Director, and always makes fun films that have a great sense of adventure.
