3 Body Problem (2024– )

Weird, entertaining but weird.
21 March 2024
Half way of the show now, and honestly i think it's not half bad. Solid sci-fi screen adaptation, good pace and okayish CGI. I don't think screen adaptions must follow the original book, however it's still no nessisary to make this much changes, and divide characters like this. And i have to say it really not nessisary to be THIS MUCH political correct. I don't mind to see diversity of characters or femal power, but it was just carried out that makes you feel too forced. Some lines are out of context and just to be there for the political correctness, that's really unnecessary. Still i would like to recommend, it's still nice entertainment after all.

To all those years, to our youth
14 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the series when I was in highschool and skipped so many Maths classes to read the books, but I never finished the final one, and didn't really watch the movie either. So after ten years, I finally learned what happened to the Cullen family and how the story of the Twilight saga ends. Very mixed feelings, and the movie is not a total disaster too. I kinda like the ending, where everything was just as the beginning, the sunshine, the grassland, and the young couple... When the screen faded black and the word Forever showed up, it is actually not that bad. Sure it's a cheap shot but I am okay with that I guess. Forever, what a word, to Bella and Edward, as well as to the youth of us, that will never be back but will always stay stainless in our memories, forever.

A so-so coach movie
12 July 2019
Good points: Jenifer's acting was brilliant! And most of the cast are good looking enough for both man and woman to keep looking. There are many classic mystery/suspense movie elements here and was handled quite nicely.

Bad points: Gosh the character Nick is so annoying. The humor elements are too much and scattered the main plot. The balance is not good enough that makes you wonder what exactly should I expect from this movie.

But ingeneral, it's a so-so coach movie for you to kill time.

What a poor kid, Peter Parker.
11 July 2019
Just evaluating this piece of work, I genuinely think it is a very good superhero popcorn movie. The visual effects are awesome, the scene is shocking enough, the comedy element is just right, and the plot is also great. If placed in the Marvel universe, Spider-Man's growth and the missing feeling for Iron Man are enough to touch people deeply. I was pretty sad the whole time when I watching the movie because I already know the ending and everything. Peter Park, the 16 years old boy, has suffered way too much. He is not Tony Stark, but everyone wants him to be. After the end game, he is no longer the young boy who is high-minded and dreaming to be the big hero to the world like he was in the Homecoming. Now he doubts himself, he lost his confidence. He only wants to be a friendly neighbor, but he also lost the right to choose, to make the decision. He bears far more than he should bear, what a poor kid...

Much Better than Crazy Rich Asians
23 June 2019
As an Asian myself, I must say this movie is much better than my expectation, and way better than Crazy Rich Asians. It has a great tempo, and all Asian elements are blended in the plot very naturally and make me laugh without feeling being offended and awkward. Ali Wong really did a great job. Of course there are also many points could have been improved, however I would see this movie as a milestone of American Asian movie history. And I would love to see more production's like this in the future.

Surprisingly fun to watch
31 May 2019
To be honest, I wasn't expected too much for this movie at first, but it turned out to be very entertaining. The concept, the vibe, the story telling are all in good quality. Personally I would say this is a mild version of SAW or a more mysterious version of Final Destination. I actually believe if they keep the same quality, this could be a hit series. I am already looking forward to the next movie, and hopefully there will be one.
