Its the day after and my eyes are still swollen

This movie is spectacular, such a beautiful and heart wrenching story. It shares some similarities with The Green Mile, still worth the watch. I was heartbroken and balling my eyes out the entire movie, props to the actors and director who played a part on this story, just perfect.

The Platform (2019)

Perfectly relates to whats happening.

Let me start off by saying that what makes the movie and the beauty of the whole story is the message, don't expect a good movie just based on plot and scenery. The social commentary is what makes it all, greediness, high hierarchy, everything that could be related to whats happening right now regarding Covid-19 and mass panic. I highly recommend this movie, puts lots of things into perspective.

Don't watch the trailer!

If you don't want to spoil some great suspense and jump scares, I really recommend not watching the trailer! Just believe when I say it is worth it. Great suspenseful movie made incredibly better by the score. A little predictable on the story but still has cool foreshadowing of a fine and thrilling ride. Really, what a well executed nightmarishly-planned torture for the wife. The only thing I didn't really like was the amount of plot holes, don't read too much into them it can diminish the experience a little bit. Overall a good movie, with great performances.

Train to Busan (2016)

Best zombie film out there

I just came around to watch this film, I don't get why it isn't rated higher. It has it all, the greedy, the selfless, the one who changes, I consider it to be the most original zombie movie out there, by far, and a tearjerker even. Excellent production, writing and cast. Another great movie crossed out from the list!

Stop gender obsession

I knew before watching this movie there was no way it was going to be excellent.. Still, didn't expect for it to be so bad. First of all, terrible action, and even worst spy themed film. Character development was zero to none and just so predictable and un-entertaining. Female empowerment felt so unnatural and forced. Honestly, a very terrible movie. Don't waste your time.

Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)

I mean this isn't supposed to be the best movie ever. I still enjoyed it and had a good laugh. Jumanji next level is silly, funny and chaotic and even though it may seem confusing at times, each character shined through their avatar.

The Two Popes (2019)

I have to be honest, I don't like Pope Francis. But his portrayal in this movie was beautifully executed. The chemistry between the two actors was perfect and the dialogue was spectacularly written, every conversation between the two seemed so fluent and natural and I really enjoyed that. Believe me when I say this is one of the very few mostly dialogue movies that have the power to draw you deep into the film. Not a single dull moment. Also, the cinematography was mesmerizing, the gardens, the Vatican, everything was so bright and pretty.

Ford v Ferrari (2019)

What a ride...

This movie was tremendously exhilarating, I found myself pumped with energy all the way through. Also, the score... the score kept me going. Beautiful story, which I vaguely knew of, it was perfectly written and executed. That being said, Matt Damon and Christian Bale made the perfect combination, they managed to portray their characters to perfection, they had great chemistry and I hope I get to see them working together again in the future. Once again Bale steals the show, what an actor. 1000% recommended watch. Even if you knew the story or not, this film will give you that thrill. Incredible, very well deserved Oscar nominations!

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019)

I understand why some viewers might find this boring and not at all QT's style. But I really thought it was very well executed. As Tarantino said, it is a Love letter to LA. The time period setting was outstanding and the 60's vibe was amazing. Brad Pitt's character was by far the most interesting and fun in the whole film, great acting and perfect chemistry between him and DiCaprio. It was a great story with fun comedic scenes and characters. I recommend watching it.

If you manage to get through the whole movie, the last 15 minutes won't disappoint at all, there's a very good action/violent Tarantino scene that we all know and love.

Also, I loved the fact that he mixed historical facts and real people with fictional characters and events. The one thing that kept me waiting was the ending, if you know the real story you'll know what I'm talking about.

Jojo Rabbit (2019)

Everythin I expected

First things first, I love Taika. This movie made me laugh and made me cry. Such a beautiful film with great actors and great cinematography. It was an extraordinary experience with a great message, definetly one of my favorite films of the year. Jojo Rabbit is a great example of comedy, satire and drama all together, very exciting and visually stunning. A must watch.

When They See Us (2019)

When They See Us is a must see. Incredibly emotional and hard, its production and acting was something from another world.

They did a great job telling this story, it couldn't be more perfect.

The Witcher (2019– )

Not a GoT ripoff

1. I love GoT, this is not GoT. 2. I haven't read or played the Witcher. And I can really say it is a great first season! Beautifully filmed and has a good, yet sometimes confusing, story. Very entertaining and loved every single character, I will be anxiously waiting for next season.

Knives Out (2019)

Unexpectedly fun

I thought I was done with this type of murder mystery/who did it movie. Still it was very fun to watch, with an excellent cast and an excellent setting, Knives Out proved me wrong when I thought I've seen just about every twist for this type of movie. Plot kept getting better and better, what a relief!

Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer (2019)

Don't fuck with cats is a very well excecuted docuseries. Dont pay attention to its title, its much more intense, deep and its worth your time.

Shockingly amazing how obsessed and dedicated people on the internet can play such good detectives, props to them!

Tropic Thunder (2008)

One of my favorite comedies!

I absolutely adore this movie, it cracks me up every time I watch it. I believe the only white person allowed to play an Australian actor, playing a black military man is RDJ. Jack Black was also very convincing and amazing in this movie. And I can only say good things about the rest of the cast. An instant classic, quotable movie. I recommend watching the commentary and interviews related to this film, just as fun experience as watching the movie. If you like dumb, dark comedies, this one is a must!!

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)

If you are not a Breaking Bad fan, don't watch this movie

This movie was the perfect epilogue for the series. It shouldn't be seen as a stand alone movie. I really recommend watching the whole series again and ending the beautiful experience with this movie. Easter eggs and comebacks wont be dissapointing! It was trully satisfying to see the becoming of the most beloved character in the series. Such a nostalgic trip after so many years! Another great one for Vince Gillighan!!

Joker (I) (2019)

Psychological Masterpiece

For those going to watch it I seriously recomend paying close attention to the progression of his mental illness, do not watch this movie just to say you saw it. Try and admire every aspect on how he got to be the Joker. It is trully a Masterpiece!!

Going in, I knew I was going to watch a good movie. I am very surprised by the public's positive reaction to the movie, I never would have thought that everyone would actually get the complex character development Phoenix portrays. Absolutely mesmerizing performance by Joaquin. I loved how not everything was as it seemed and still got to dive in so deep into the Joker's mental issues. What I also liked about the movie was the fact that even though he was seemingly unstable, he could actually control his emotions by dancing and relaxing, by not breathing and coping with anxiety, by mimicking the people around him. I also really liked the scene were he trashes the picture signed by TW. It showed the audience that even if his origin was a lie or not, it still didnt matter, there was no turning back from all the physical and mental abuse he suffered as a child and the innevitable becoming of the Joker character.

Very very pleased this was not another superhero flick, I really like this human portrayal of beloved comic book characters. Trully exceptional, Todd Phillips really went all out on this one!
