God's children are not for sale!
10 July 2023
This movie is hard to watch. Not because of how it was produced, or because of the acting. In fact, I have to say, the acting and production was beautifully done. This movie is hard to watch because of the content. Human trafficking, and the real life story behind a subject that not a lot of people want to think about.

The acting was phenomenal, the production value was incredible, and the message was out of this world. Usually, with Christian film production, you are going to get a B quality movie. I'm not being harsh, but that's the reality of Christian productions. However, this movie is different. Nothing about the movie seemed cheesy or fake, Angel Production did an amazing job.

It wasn't a 10, like so many are saying, because a 10 would imply there was no room for improvement. The musical score seemed in need of revamping, and some parts dragged a little longer than they should. But overall, it was a fantastic movie.

2 million children as slaves should have everyone up in arms. The fact that there are more people in slavery today, through trafficking, then any other time in history should upset everyone.

Not Of Plant Earth

What a bad movie. I mean, really bad, and I wanted to like this movie.

It was long, drawn out and anti-climactic. When it finally did get to the "exciting" parts, I was half asleep. What was, by far, the worst parts in the movie was the female lead's acting and the design of the ship. It was pretty lame guys. If it was supposed to scare me, it did not do the trick. It was more magical then it was scary. I find it very hard to believe people actually enjoyed this movie. Must be fan boy/girling Peele.

Only reason it gets any stars, from me, is because the main character can act. Plus, the older camera man was in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, so I'll give you an extra star there too.

But what do I know.

Who is rating this over a five?

Adrian Brody used to make bangers. This movie is just slow, and then they try to make up for the slow pace in the last 30 minutes with a ton of needless gore. Listen, I'm all for a bloody thriller, but this was just not good.

What a movie
4 October 2020
Phenomenal movie.

Look at my other reviews, I have no problem telling you if it is a bad flick. This movie was great from start to finish. Anyone giving this movie less than a 7 is lying and when I see 1s and 2s it makes me never want to trust an imbd review again.

Park Chan Wook is great, but I thought this was ok
3 October 2020
Maybe it's because it was put on a pedestal as "one of the best thrillers" and by the 8.1 on IMBD, but I thought this was just ok.

Sure, the cinematography is great, acting is really well-done, but I don't see it being an 8. It was good, but something is missing. I expected a bigger "twist" or something at the end. However, that didn't happen. I dunno, I was disappointed.

If your into lesbian sex, you'll love it. I'm not knocking it, but erotic thriller isn't what I expected. I expected a psychological powerhouse. However, the movie provides only one "Ohhhh" moment.

One of the better movies of 2020
8 August 2020
This movie was just fun. Andy Samberg always has really funny, crazy entertaining movies. Palm Springs had some depth to it. It's a modern day Groundhogs Day. I really like the movie, I feel like both lead roles played perfect off each other. 8.4

Maybe I'm a Kevin James fan, but I liked it
20 June 2020
It was a fun movie. Think an R rated Home Alone with Kevin James as the bad guy. I thought it was really fun, it's not meant to be serious. It's honestly a lot better than half the stuff out now. 6.5

Boring and then a twist
8 June 2020
It's pretty boring. There was a point where I almost turned it off because my wife fell asleep, but I'm glad I didn't. If I didn't make it to the end I would have given it a 1. Truthfully, it has a good twist, but the lead up was just excruciating.

What a ride!
23 February 2020
Ok. I heard of this movie from a Reddit site, and I was pretty skeptical about watching because I had never heard of it. The first couple of minutes, I thought it was going to be a horrible movie. It is a film with a bunch of not-so-known actors/actresses, which I took as a reg flag. I was wrong.

Ten minutes in, I started going, "okayyyyyy" this is interesting.

Thirty minutes in, I was hooked.

It is not an action packed, shoot-em-up style movie. If you want that, Jumanji isn't half bad. However, if you are looking for a slow burning, keep you on the edge of your seat flick, this movies for you. It was a phenomenal sci-fi/thriller, and I can't stop recommending it to my friends.

Who is rating this movie 5 or above? I guess if you just dropped a few tabs of acid, or were high out of your gourd, you would like the movie. I get it, there was a bunch of cool visuals. However, this movie was just bad....Like really bad. I think there is a part where Nic Cage is talking to his kid, and he says some line like, "get the f^@% out of my face...ya know what Ill help ya out, because i'll get the f%#$ out of yourssssss" and it was so out of place that Cage must have improved his lines, did one take, and called it a day. What is even worse, I have always loved Nic Cage's acting style, but it was just weird here.

Bad acting aside, the plot is, literally, non-existent and confusing. When you actually think it is making sense, they throw a purple filter on their camera and film weird and grotesque scenes, that revert you back to scratching your head. Or maybe I just got bored with it. It really is just a free for all, but if you like that kind of stuff, you will love this movie.

That ending though....
3 January 2020
Listen, the acting was good. Had a great grimey feel to it, so I thought it was shot very well. The story has been done before, but with Adam Sandler doing it, it's incredibly entertaining. The excitement at the end is awesome. I thought it was a great movie, Sandler should get some sort of Oscar, but the writers shouldn't.

7.5 - It's worth your time.

We gotta find common ground here...
29 December 2019
The movie is not a 10 or a "cinematic masterpiece" as many are claiming. It is also not a pile of garbage that is borrrrrrinnnng, as some are claiming.

Rather the movie hangs somewhere in the middle. While I liked the movie for the old mythical Prometheus storyline, I did find it a little drawn out. Don't expect a lot of action, rather, expect a lot of "wtf" moments.

All in all, the movie is a decent film and Pattinson and Devoe did incredible jobs acting. It was shot perfectly, but it was drawn out and some of the things (the mermaid) didn't really make sense and seemed out of place.

6 out of 10. Give it a shot

A teenager rom/com in disguise as a zombie show for "woke" teenagers
13 November 2019
The show is quirky and fun, and it is definitely directed at preteens and teenagers. For the first few episodes, at first, I enjoyed it. Then it got boring and cliche and weird. They only have the whole zombie theme for a few episodes, they don't really seem to worry about them after a while though, and you forget that it's a "zombie show". So the main theme is disjointed.

Next is PC culture. Like having a gay character is cool, but why does every show have to push all the "PC" subjects. I mean there's a point where the kids shake hands -to show consent- before they awkwardly have a sex scene.

PC subjects aside, they stray from the plot line too many times. Stick to trying to survive and finding your true love. You don't need to have thirty subplots, side stories, and history to try and make a show interesting. It comes off disjointed and then it gets boring.

I kept waiting for it to get good.
24 September 2019
This movie was such a dud. I read the reviews and I scoffed at some of them, thinking "no way Hollywood would make a remake of the Wicker Man and even if they do, they gotta change it up somewhat" Well I was right and I was wrong. They remade Wicker Man, but made it super boring with a scene of gratuitous gross sex that lasts far too long. The only reason I gave the movie 3 stars is because it's shot well and has decent acting.

Television Masterpiece
10 September 2019
This is by far the best show I have ever watched. EVER. Every single shot is planned to perfection and gives you this awe inspiring "woah" feeling. I kid you not, even if you hated the plot, which you can't (this series has more plot twists and action then I could even explain) you would still love the show just by how it is shot. Gennaro and Ciro are incredible actors. I honestly can't describe the depth and passion these two put into the show, everyone for that matter.

This show will be hard to beat, honestly, give it a chance and you will absolutely not regret it.

Where is the twist?
9 June 2019
This isn't the Black Mirror that I have loved for the past 4 seasons. This episode was a failed attempt at pandering to like 15% of the population. In fact it seemed like this season was targeted specifically to teenagers.

Also, If you wanted to make a plot with a gay storyline, cool, but put a twist on it or at least make it interesting. The only thing "Black Mirror" about this was the VR, and it wasn't just this episode.

This season sucked.

The only reason I gave it a three is because the acting was good. Sucks they had no script to go off of.

Time to hang up your hat Travolta
26 May 2019
This is as Cliché'd as Cliché can be. Watch the fist 5 minutes and if you're not laughing your ass off or upset about how washed up John Travolta is, then you probably made and or financed this movie. It's upsetting that some of my favorite actors are just taking any script they get now.

This will be a quick review. When I first started watching this movie I thought, "This movie is pretty drawn out, but I kept watching because the character was being developed really well and I wanted to see where the movie was going. A couple scenes were cringey asf and when the ending happened I kind of was like... meh. I don't know why though, because a few hours later I caught myself still thinking about the movie. That's when I realized how much I liked it. You can't deny that it's a good flick, it's a tad long, but I actually preferred it because it really develops the characters. Very, very good. 9.0

Y'all are just crazy....
14 April 2019
This series was excellent, I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. It's intense, and I feel like the show kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. People are saying there is no plot, or character development are just being petty. The series is about a bunch of people who DONT KNOW EACH OTHER coming together to survive. It's like Lost, your not going to find out about them until later.

I honestly loved it, and think you guys should watch episode 4 and 5, then tell me it's boring. A solid 8.5.

What was this, and why the hell does it have 7 stars on here. This site had to get its s%&t together, no way that was a 7. There was nothing good about this movie, the plot was confusing and wonky. Nicole Kidman doesnt look like a washed up detective she looks like a B movie zombie. It's way too long, and it's just crap. Avoid like the plague.

It isn't Shakespeare, but it isn't bad either.
26 January 2019
I get that people either hate movies or love them, but this was a middle of the line movie. It had a pretty decent story, with a good twist at the end. Th acting was done very well, and the writing was decent. Yes the cinematography could have been better, but for a low budget movie, I think it was pretty good. It isn't a 10, but it aint a 2. If you want a movie that gives you some action, (but is shot in one location like reservoir dogs, so it can get a little slow), and is an ok thriller then this is your movie. It is a good Monday night movie. 6.4

Makes me all warm inside
11 January 2019
This movie is incredible. I should end the review right there, truthfully the message is golden, the acting is superb, the musical score was phenomenal. I'm not just talking about Ali's piano playing, I'm talking about even the subtle music when the freindship was expanding. It was a visually beautiful and wonderfully done film. I would give it a 10, but apparently there were inconsistencies to real life...but honestly, the message still rings true. No matter what color/sexual preference/ economic status you are, you can always learn something from the someone you weren't expecting. I loved the movie 9.5

Hey, it wasn't half bad.
11 January 2019
How are you going to hate on the movie, it wasn't THAT bad. It's a B movie, but honestly, the acting is pretty good and I enjoyed the storyline. If you had some big named actors do that story and you had a more expensive production, this movie would have killed at the box office. You need to take it for what it is, a pretty good B movie, with some unknown but pretty good actors. It is a good watch if you are bored and want to watch a thriller/action/comedy, I would check this out. 6.1

It's visually stunning, but falls completely apart in the writing.
11 January 2019
I mean, it's different, no one is arguing that. In fact, if you go through these reviews that is probably the one thing everyone agrees on. The lighting and cinematography is pretty breathtaking, for about an hour, but then even that gets boring. The reason why is because it's slow. I don't know if it was the plot that was horrible or if they shot it to be suuuuuppppeeeerrrrr slllllloooowwwww, or a combination of both, but Good God did the movie drag on. It felt like they were moving in slow motion the whole movie. If they did not have Nick Cage in it, the movie probably would have been a dud, and you all know it deep down inside. I give the movie like a 5.2, it's a fun watch if your drunk or on drugs. If not, its super slow and to me, it fell apart because there was no direction to the story. Well there is a direction, but it was predictable, bland, and overdone.

They could have done a lot more.
8 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I think my biggest gripe with the film is how slow it is...it gets kind of boring after the first act. Also, I think I would have been more interested if in the beginning of the film they didn't tell you that all 3 men completely vanished. Why wouldn't you do that at the end...I literally was able to predict what was going to happen 10 minutes in. All in all, with the actors they had, this could have been a lot better if they added a little more imagination.
