Charlie (2015)
I enjoyed this very much!
I found this movie to be charming and very touching. The characters seemed very realistic to me.
My only complaint was it was too short. I believe this what is called privately produced (or something similar), so I understand the need for brevity. I would have enjoyed watching again but it disappeared from the streaming service, which was probably either Disney+ or 'tubi'.
Info I found elsewhere: "Written and directed by the film's titular character, Shawn Ryan ("Bones", "America's Got Talent"), CHARLIE screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival where Shawn was nominated for the Emerging Filmmaker Award in The American Pavilion."
I hope to find more word done by Breaking Glass Pictures.
Wonder Woman (2017)
The TV series was much better
Yes, the TV series was much better even though it aired in the late 1970s. I adored Linda Carter's version of Wonder Woman. Perhaps is was "easier" since it was TV instead of a movie. Whatever the reason, I found it a joy to watch her solve situations. When she had to go to her mother for help just added to the characters reality.
I consider this a complete flop. It's doesn't draw the viewer into her life ... it all seems one step removed from the "reality" of the story. It also takes so long for anything to happen it quickly became extremely boring.
As for Gal Gadot, I found her wooden and the character would have been better played by an AI robot.
