Don't Look Up (2021)
Do recommend
Glad to see I was not the only one feeling uneasy after watching. I actually witnessed a huge meteor south of Norway in November 2021. It could be seen from almost all over the country. That was scary, and so I felt I could relate to this.
I love to write reviews but I dont know what to say. A lot of people I talked to said they didn't like it or they dont get it. But still I looked (up) foreward to see it still:)
The message of this movie is kind of insane! The actors are all so truly convincing, to the point the whole act seems real. The graphics are remarkable to me at least and yeah it sure was entertaining. Keep looking up everybody:-)
Silver Linings Playbook (2012)
How did I miss this?
My mother is bipolar.
This movie gave me a lot of joy, in quite difficult times. We live in such a harsh society. If you dont act and communicate the way you should according to normal, you are a crazy f*up. If you f* up, but keep it a secret, no one will no how much a f* up crazy you are.
The movie gave me a lot of joy. And it reminded me of how we should celebrate our differences and be thankful for adversity!
Me myself I am not diagnosed with bipolar disorder. But I do struggle a lot to fit in and find my place in this world. I have a friend, she is so different from everyone else. But she is one of the people that gives me the most fun and creative of times and also has a lot of wisdom of life to share. For that I am thankful.
This movie maybe gives some kind of picture of how people unable to regulate their emotions and feelings react when under a lot of stress or in manic/depressed periods. The scenes in real life can be terrifying. I was glad to see that no matter what this family where under in terms of difficulties, they never stopped loving and caring for each other. They were able to bury the hatchet so many times. This moved me a lot, and it moved me even more to see how two lost people, found them selves in eachother.
Regarding the celebration of diversity, it was so freakkin awsome to watch these two main characters dancing and having fun.
In a society of contest and perfection I give my biggest kudos to people who dare be themselves, perfect in inperfection.
La reina de España (2016)
One should watch with an open mind
I don't think the ratings of this film is fair to the movie. I expected a bad bad movie, but that wasn't what I watched. I liked it! I was moved, it made me laugh and I think the way they incorporated the history of Spain was intelligent in the way they put a lot of references in the dialogue between the characters.
Well done :)
Humano (2013)
Not a movie not a documentary
It is very understanding, and who doesn't want to go to the Andes to have an enlightenment and spiritual experience with a shaman; Who's knowledge is past from generations to generations, knowledge no book can provide. A way of life that it is sadly impossible for most humans on this earth. The answer is simple, thanks to this movie and it's creators it is possible for us viewers to get a look in to a deep spiritual journey. If something is wrong, if something feels wrong, it is simply because it is. Then you have to look in another direction. Thank you for sharing this knowledge and finding the answers to your questions. This is something all should do, but as the shaman says is that all men are asleep. I you can, try to live in balance with yourself and nature, never stop seeking and the rest is details.
Peace
También la lluvia (2010)
An important statement
So, Gael Garcia Bernal is one of my favorite actors for many reasons. Usually he plays very sympathetic characters with huge charisma. In this movie, his character tried to be the better the person but it seemed in the long term it was for his own personal gain.
Concerning the movie, who is partially based on a true story and actual events Im glad they made it. It wasn't top notch material, but it was good enough to show the world what happened in Bolivia at the time. And how big coorporations to this day, continue to make life harder for the indigenous and poor people living in corrupt and devastated countries.
Viva la revolucion!
The Snowman (2017)
Why?
Why is everyone hating on this movie?
It was incredibly well shot in beautiful scenery
Yes a lot of the acting was weird but isn't horror a kind of weird genre anyways? I think a lot of people has misjudged overanalized and critizised this because it is not perfect. It a part of art you know and the actors especially Harry Holy really stayed in his character the whole time.
It was a good movie!
Thats why 10/10 thumbs up
Ôkami kodomo no Ame to Yuki (2012)
wonderful concept
This movie, moved me into the root of my heart. Japanese anime have such depth telling stories with connection to nature and relation between beings, both fantasy, animals and humans. The animations really brings out the beauty in all.
Such a wonderful movie, i loved it.
