The Misfits (2021)
Guys, don't be so serious about this film
I am writing this because I saw lots of bad reviews about the film.
Come on guys. Treat the film as a Comedy rather than a serious Action film and you will certainly enjoy the absurd plot, the funny Prison head, the villain's behavior etc.
The Directive (2019)
Should have been under 1 hour runtime
Running for 1 hour 53 minutes for what? If it was for character build up then it is acceptable. But for the most part of the film one can see the main character packing bags, playing baseball, talking to a female poster, talking to himself and the robot, then wandering along the wasteland with the robot attached to his back pack searching for the Safe Zone his robot has suggested.
I am giving a generous 3 starts mainly because it was made using only $1600/- (good attempt), and the ending twist that shows the robot to be a part of a conspiracy in spreading the virus which seems to be man made inside a lab.
As the concept was okay, could have given a better rating if the film was short. But the long runtime and the unnecessary scenes made it boring.
Last American Horror Show (2018)
Horror? More like a comedy
The first two stories were comedic rather than horror. Acting was below par. Only the grandma in the second story did her part convincingly. Only the Sea Monkey story had a real "horror story", but the execution was not up to standard.
Very low budget indeed.
Skip this and watch something else.
4 stars given purely for Act II.
The Houses October Built 2 (2017)
Only watch the last 30 minutes
Fast forward till only 30 minutes remains and then start watching the film.
Nothing significant happens during the other 70 minutes. Interviewing horror show groups, visiting their horror shows, travelling in the RV from one town to another searching for horror shows, and interviewing them. Felt like a documentary film.
So, if you really want to watch this, watch only the last 30 minutes of the film and you have the entire story covered.
Zombie Tidal Wave (2019)
Not bad
Starts somewhat stupid, but the story gets interesting eventually, though acting is below par.
Try to watch the film from a comic angle and you will find the film entertaining.
Josie (2018)
bad script
Started slow and up to 1 hour of the film nothing happens significantly. It can be ignored since it helps the story build up. But no one in this whole world (who are sane) would blame Prison guards for doing their job by tying a person up for execution. If Josie's father is wrongly convicted and put to death by mistake, then she should get revenge from the judiciary people who falsely convicted him . I.e. Police, Judges, Lawyers, Jury, Politicians (if any) etc, AND NOT THE innocent SECURITY GUARDS who merely carried out their duty. As some reviewers has mentioned, yes, how ironic it is - Josie's innocent father gets executed, and yet she frames an innocent guy (who most probably will get executed as well) for a crime he did not commit.
Unbelievable script.
Giving this 4 stars purely for acting.
Slasher Party (2019)
Do not watch this
Hey, this is the one of the worst movies ever watched.
I don't usually write reviews, but the bad acting, silly plot made me do it.
Acting was awful. murders happen. others are not even panicking.
They just watch over the dead body and do not even wince.
Some are getting murdered, but they do not feel the pain of a knife penetrating their body, but happily dies.
And the end - WHAT A JOKE!
This should be categorized as a silly comedy, not a horror.
Giving 2 stars for the comedy aspect of it.
Remember Me (2010)
Yes! I will remember this for a long time
I don't write reviews, but this film compelled me to write something about it.
For me, a film should be realistic, heartfelt and not confusing wondering 'what was that' feeling. 'Remember me' was so close to realism. Though the first scene of the film showing Ally's mother being murdered was not necessary for the film - giving it a sort of crime scene movie - the rest was superb.
This film falls under the genre of Drama, Romance, but I feel it has something more than that.
All the leading character acting was very good. Though in reality a vibrant girl as Ally would not fall for a 'sleepy looking' guy as Tyler, their chemistry and acting was good. The emotions Tyler emits when angry, happy, and sad are realistic.
The film depicts a story which can happen to anybody. That is why it is so realistic unlike some films you see.
To tell you the truth, I did not understand the ending at first and thought 'what is this?, Did Tyler commit suicide by jumping? Why? Then after some reading only found out the real ending which made me shed tears. I played the video several times to the point where the teacher writes the date of disaster on blackboard and watched it again and again, and each time it was so emotional. I did not like Tyler's friend in the beginning, but at the end with him with Tyler's name tattoo on his arm was 'very moving'.
A must watch film for anybody who loves a realistic one.
