Very good movie

Some would say that its to long and it drags... And it could have been shortened up but then again... There is some character development that is okay to have.

The movie is good - really good.

And the story is interesting and plausible. Of course there is plot holes, but dont look after them.

Enjoy the paranoia when noone know what is happening - what has happened - and what will happen.

The ending is as usual really annoying.

Gran Turismo (2023)

Could have been...

I am somewhat disappointed... The movie is made for children and not for grownups like Le mans 66, and it makes the movie uptempo without growing on you when you watch it.

Its just fastfood for the eyes. You can leave your brain at home.

I was expecting more instead of these stereotypes of people.

And the competition they showed us to be selected as the GT driver! Oh my god what a sad sad sad thing to watch. Sony can do better than this. Come on! Its just fastfood for the eyes. You can leave your brain at home.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023)

Not that good

Its highly overrated with a score of 6,3!

It could have been good if Dracula had some style like he do have in most movies.

Here he is just a monster wasting blood by ripping up, and killing victims without even drinking all their blood. He looks not even close to the Dracula we all have come to know through the years.

Its a shame because the setting is great, the ship looks fantastic, and the actors are doing okay.

It is the figure/monster that ruins the movie for me.

By the way its not a horror. You know exactly what will happen, the ship is small, so there is no suspence throughout. So dont expect to stay awake all night in fear.

The monster (I refuse to call him Dracula from now on) is not scary in any way.

Nefarious (2023)

I was very surprised by this one. The main actor who is not very well known is surprisingly good. Its not scary in any way it is just very interesting to get into this demon thing :-) Most of the time we only see the inmate (demon) and the doctor who is there to evaluate him. I am a nihilist and the movie is packed with creator good and bad, and a lot of religious bs, but it didnt bother me at all because the story was so interesting.

How could you participate in this Ben Affleck?

It could be a good movie, and the first 15 minutes started just great!

But then it spiralled downhill pretty fast.

Absolutely over the hill!

I wonder which mushrooms the directors and producers (assume there were several of each) they ate?

The Entity (1982)

Still valid

The movie is from 1982 but it still holds water :-) The special effects are good even today. And it is very scary!

A woman lives alone with her children. She has a boyfriend who visits her often. One night she is attacked and raped by something or someone. The attacks/rapes happens more often after the first attack. Even in the daytime!

Noone believes her, and her boyfriend starts questioning her sanity. She visits doctors who see the severe marks on her body.

Finally she finds someone to believe her, and they set up a scene to catch the entity.

I first saw this movie when I were something like 20 years old. Been thinking about it ever since. A few years ago I found it on DVD and to my surprise it was just as scary as back then :-) Now I am 56.

65 (2023)

Pretty good

The movie has an interesting story. Humans from another planet 65 million years ago went exploring the universe, and ended up crash landing on Earth. That is a great story to be told, and I think they did a pretty good job here.

Adam Driver survives the crash and after a short time he finds that only one other survived. The adoring Adriana Greenblatt. They cant communicate as they speak different languages, and they both goes searching for the escape pod 14 kilometers away.

Dont think to much why Adam speaks english and uses the metric system comming from another solar system somewhere in the universe!

Just enjoy our Earth 65 million years ago. And be happy to watch the meteorite that whiped out most of life back then :-)

Tsk tsk tsk!

This movie is totally braindead nonsens! Action without purpose, and over the hill scenes that just want to make you go back to the period of 1990-2010 when we really could make movies.

Gerard Butler really stepped into it by participating in this one. Not only does he play a really bad Captain-role, but he also without any thought let the Captain act like Donald Duck driving a car.

And it just get worse by the minutes.

It is clear to all that making a movie today dont require any skills whatsoever. And finding a descent actor to participate dont seem to be a problem either.

There is something wrong in the world of movies...

Emily the Criminal (2022)

Good movie

Aubrey is really doing a good job in this movie. She is a funny actress that always allow to show a little of her twisted personality in her movies.

And she is doing it again in this one.

There is a nice pace here, and a really interesting story to follow.

Sure they cut some corners here and there, and sure I wish they didnt. The movie could easely have kept me entertained for +2 hours.

But still its well wrapped, well produced, well played, and well told.

Why do I have to use 600 characters?!?

Emily is out of luck and in debt. After a favour she gets a phone number and is told that she can make 200 dollars in one hour. At last she makes the call and is drawn into credit card scamming.

Going nowhere

The movie is going absolutely nowhere!

We just follow an annoying family visiting a daughter who just moved into an old wornout appartment. There is hardly any furniture and there is no story what so ever to be told!

We are a fly on the wall watching this annoying family walking around, preparing food, walking more around, making the table, walking around, eating a little food in shifts, walking around, walking some more around, and then walking a little more around!

No story, no development, absolutely nothing is happening here.

The family is not interesting at all. You dont care if they live or die (I wish at least somebody died in this waste-of-time movie) But dont bother.... Nothing is happening.

How this can be rated 6.6 is beyond believe.

At first it seems interesting with these long shots of landscape, empty parkinglots, a street full of people and what not.

But after two hours of that, and nothing else, you start to wonder; What is the point? Where is my reward?

A woman wakes up by a sound. Not a creepy sound, just a sound, that I think all humanity have tried to be pulled out of sleep by. The sound could be something hitting a window..... A bird..... some debree of some kind. Most of us would just go back to sleep.

But not this woman!

First thing she do is finding a sound expert that creates the sound she heared, and then......? Yes then?........ Nothing!!!

What an overrated peace of crap!

Worst movie in a long time :-) First of all it looks like its filmed with a smartphone, or some other poor equipment. Same lighting and framing they use in pornmovies!

The sound is horrible. A cassette recorder from 1977 would do a similar job!

The movie itself is dreadfull. You never get to know how they ended up in the open waters. No explanation whatsoever!

The boat is well equipped and you can easely guess that noone would just leave such a boat of this quality alone at sea.

The key is missing. Why dont they brake up the lock and try to start it?

I am sure that there is a VHF radio on this fine boat. Why dont they call for help?

A rubber boat magically drift towards the two porn-girls. There is an engine, and there is a gasoline tank. They dont even try to start the engine!

Why leave the big well equipped boat for a rubberboat? And why do this rubberboat magically drift towards shore?

I am sure that after the making of a porn movie, they had a lot of clips that were not to be used. So they slapped them together and called it "Ocean"

The Black Phone (2021)

Not horror for adults!

I guess if the viewer is 10-12 years of age, this movie is somewhat okay.

For adults its kind of boring, and not even close to be a horror movie. Its hard to understand why the movie is presented as a adult horror movie!

Even harder to understand why Ethan Hawke said yes to this?

I would call it a pre-teen horror movie, and as such I am sure its okay. Nor great... Just okay.

Survive (2020)

Absolutely waste

The first 30 minutes I started suspecting that I was watching the wrong movie, but then we are finally on the plane. And it crashes. Great!

Two survivors. Political correct one is white and stupid and one is the opposite of white and clever..... Instead of staying in the shelter of the remains of the plane, which would be the right thing to do because rescue teams will look after a crashed plane, the two begins to walk away in one meter of snow. And its cold.... Really cold. Yoy see mountains from a drone covered in snow.

Suddently they try to climb down a vertical mountain without experience whatsoever, and the snow magically has disappeared!

Above the tree limit, they jump down into a tree, without any bruises of course. And you see the mountains from a drone, and there is absolutely no snow anywhere!

Then we clearly see from a drone that they are well above the tree limit, and there is no sign of trees anywhere to be seen!

Now they are suddently walking in one meter snow again, even that two minutes before we saw mountains all around with no sign of trees!

After this I stopped looking, and continued my life :-(

Wild Men (2021)

Fails as a comedy

It fails as a comedy, but as a drama its okay.

A few scenes make you smile, but mostly its just a drama. Could have been so much better.

You come into the movie where he already lives in the woods. Things leading up to his decision could have been extremely funny. But no.... three criminels have a car accident and one escapes into the woods and get found by the wildman. They stay together and get close, helping each other out from various situations.

If the movie is strictly a comedy it fails completely!

Its more a drama with a few somewhat funny scenes.

The Fallout (2021)

I am impressed by the actors and the characters they play in this movie. They feel very real.

This is a really really good, strong, and emotionally movie.

You dont see the violence, but you hear it, and you feel it together with the characters.

I cant forget the actors. They do a really good job in this one.

I am thankfull that some still have the courage to make movies like this, in these "me to" times.

There is some very explicit scenes that makes the whole movie worth seeing.

The ending is somewhat stereotypic and it leaves you a little annoyed.

The Burning Sea (2021)

Its not even close to Hollywood. Do not compare!

Its superficial and empty. Nobody even mentions the crew on that big oiltanker! There must have been a crew og 20-30 people! We see it, but not one single word.

In a Hollywood movie there would have been a news helicopter hanging and sending live to a chocked reporter on a news channel.

The whole movie is about one man caught outthere, and this one man only! Never mind the rest... And a thick layer of oil spreads extremely quick and then stops burning after five minutes? Come on.... Yes its an action movie. But here again they should have come up with a better solution to get away from the burning oil.

Do not hype a movie just because its norwegian!

Don't Look Up (2021)

Very disturbing

Just like WALL-E, this movie shows excactly how degenerated we as a species has become.

It also shows in horryfying details that the show must go on to the very last minute. Dont ever believe that they (master of puppets) will let you know when a comet strikes earth next time.

If you are happy after watching this movie, you are right where they (master of puppets) want you to be.

This is not a horror movie! Its not a thriller, its not scary, and its not creepy... It is barely a drama!

Its a dragging story with hollow acting. No dephts.

It is well produced, but the way the story is told it feels flat and hollow... The main character is not a good actress.

Sandra is doing a really good job in this interesting story.

The movie can be depressing to watch, because the story told is very heavy. Its still worth a watch if you like movies where you can live yourself into the story.

Its interesting to see actors grow up/old because most of them really become very good.

Sandra has never been a great actor, but in this movie..... Wow she is good!

Its not a career mover for Emily Blunt, because the movie is poorly executed.

The story is good but they fail in pretty much all aspects.

It cant stand alone

First of all the movie can be confusing to watch. Especially if you dont know much about Soprano. I never wathed the series so I dont know if that could help.

Second, this movie cant stand alone! Tony is still a boy when this movie ends! So we can all wait for the second act, and maybe also the third act. Thats somewhat annoying.

Else from that the movie is well produced. Great cars and locations. Good acting. A little sex, and some good old violence :-)

Halle Berry has grown to be a very good actor. As a director she did a fantastic job with this movie. If you like "Million Dollar Baby" or "The Wrestler" you will like this one.

Finally a good movie in 2020... Halle plays a perfect role as a broken flower. Bruised by life. Defeated by chances.

I dislike most movies wiyh Halle, but this movie...... Wow!

The Eye (2008)

Badly executet

The movie could have been good, because the story is interesting. But there is no build up! And the scares are not scary! Stupid wantabe jumpscares that only works the very first time!

Jessica Alba looks great as always, and I think she does okay being blind.
