Watch and learn: How to be sexy and charismatic just by using the right words
19 October 2005
Conquests, conquests, conquests... The language... geez,... "Don Juan" uses the most poetic and beautiful language. The way he talks to and about women... lets say, only HE gets away with it. It's in the delivery. I am not sure if I can "MAKE" my boyfriend watch it, both of us aren't exactly romantic comedy fans. I guess I will try to persuade him by telling him how many HOT HOT HOT Latina woman he will get to see ... naked. Don Juans behaviour is as infectious as a smile. He has no bad bone in his body, delusional or not, people can't help but adore him.

*adores*

Bloodsport (1988)

Cult
18 October 2005
I love this man. His acting wasn't very good. (I do think though it improved over time... a little.)

Bloodsport was inspiration for a whole generation to start learning martial arts. A Cult movie. I grew up some of my life in Asia and it amuses me to see those buff cliché white men jumping around through colourful, but grubby marketplaces/ back alleys. In fact the whole movie is simple and has even a nice tidy cliché structure: Man starts terribly, improves through tough training and develops into sexy fighting machine. Some people who commented on this movie said he is no Bruce Lee. But that is the beauty of it. He is somebody from a western country trying to measure up and fit into the eastern culture. Good stuff.

Vanishing Son (1994 TV Movie)

Great story, great actors

I have been looking for this movie since I saw it round about 1995... I can't believe it I found it!!! :D

I can remember it so well, because I thought the story was really chilling, great fighting scenes and a very sexy love story (not corny at all) for the girls. *swoons* Russel Wong was amazing in this role, the story line was great... Alright when I saw it I was only 11 years old, so I might have higher expectations than I should have. It is unimaginable to me that I wouldn't like it. I fell in love with this movie when I first watched it, the music, the scenery and it's style. Not one boring minute.

Find it and buy it!!! NOW!

Oh well... worth watching, but probably not buying

I do regret a little that I bought it without seeing it first. Some people might really like the style of those short stories, others might not. People who tend to like reading short stories would definitely enjoy most of them.

If you are an (amateur) filmmaker yourself or have worked on low budget productions, I guess you would really appreciate it. Some of those stories are constructed very clever, it is amazing how they turned everyday situations into something special in so little time.

If you have happened to see the September 11 short stories you might know why I expected a little "more".
