Murder, She Wrote: Death 'N Denial (1995)
Notable for one piece of dialogue
Above all else this episode was pretty boring and slow but the writer managed to get in one of the greatest lines of tv dialogue and that is "Pour me a scotch, this city gets in my throat" in regards to Cairo. Perfect.
Mom: My Kinda People and the Big To-Do (2021)
MOM Series Finale
For the time that the writers had left and due to the COVID issues, this was a decent finale. There were several callbacks to earlier seasons, such as when Bonnie chases the new girl in the rain (season 2 when Bonnie fell off the wagon), and there was a nod to season 3 when the girls didn't tell Jill that Adam had cancer so they didn't want to ruin her moment. Although considering how Marjorie felt about that you would think they would have changed it.
Adam's cancer storyline was an interesting subplot and you could tell they were originally counting on a final season 9 to wrap up the series. CBS got lazy and canceled the show because of money, which is BS because all the money in the world is there.
Jill & Andy get married for those that want to see that storyline finish out. It just feels like there was so much left unsaid. The show deserved another 22 episodes to wrap things up!
