Felt so many emotions all at once, definitely a great watch.

Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely love the comedic touches in this movie, along with the heart-wrenching moments. KSH's acting was phenomenal as always.

Aside from a few plot holes and illogical details, I loved everything else and cried my heart out at the end. The single shots of the scenery after KSY's character was dead was the tipping point, making the viewers feel so blue and grey. I bawled my eyes out at that scene and couldn't pull myself together after finishing it. I like the fact that all the characters had some backstory to them, and they were all quite likeable. If you want to laugh and cry at the same time, this is the movie for you. Definitely recommend!

Sally Hawkins's performance is why I love this adaptation the most.

Warning: Spoilers
Hawkins's Anne is my most favorite Anne. She portrayed Anne so perfectly, from the flustering gazes, the surprised gasps and longing glances. I felt what she felt without the assistance of words, from when she first re-encountered Captain Frederick, to her surprise when reading his letter. Absolutely spot on.

One only thing that did not make sense, though, is Captain Frederick is supposed be an experienced and well-decorated captain who has spent many years at sea. He is supposed to look very tanned and, well, experienced! But, he looked like a normal, elegant gentry.

Other than that, I adored this version so much. I always come back to this when I need a daily dose of period dramas.

If you loved the book, you would be disappointed with this movie.
31 December 2020
I absolutely adored the book and expected so much from this movie. Yet, I was utterly disappointed. It was badly made and did not convey the right emotions at all. Since it was not as accurate to the book, the storyline did not flow smoothly, which prevents the emersion of overwhelming emotions which one might have from reading the book.

Long Shot (2019)

Hilarious and not cringey at all.
31 December 2020
This was definitely an entertaining watch. Different from other rom-coms, this movie is funny without corny jokes and the chemistry between the two lead actors is super convincing. There weren't cringey a lot of moments and no politics intertwined in this. Would definitely recommend.

Only gave more stars because of Cillian Murphy.

Warning: Spoilers
The only reason I started watching was because of Cillian Muprhy, and I was utterly disappointed, not with him though. The script was garbage; the acting was terrible, and the fighting scenes lacked so much logic.

The female lead was so stiff, and the love scene between her and Cillian was just a mess. I honestly don't know why Cillian chose to appear in this movie since his talent exceeds this script and he deserves ones that will allow him to shine more.

This movie was so boring and I skipped most of it.

Thought this was a horror film, but was pleasantly surprised.

Warning: Spoilers
Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and the plot twist was not disappointing at all. I really liked the actor's performances here, and the scenery was spot on as well.

I did not read the book so I'm not sure how close to the book this movie really is but I enjoyed it.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

If you're looking for a thrilling and suspenseful experience, this is the right movie for you. The plot twist isn't that dramatic but the plot just keeps drawing you in. Sarah Paulson's acting is world class, and the actress who played the daughter was super convincing as well. I also loved how the scenery was complimenting the gloomy aura of this film. Highly reccommend.

Everything about this movie is already revealed in the first half.

The overall plot has potential and could have been more well produced. The message is there, the acting isn't bad. But they could have made it more thrilling and suspenseful because it was dragged for way too long.

Emma. (2020)

Absolutely adored this movie.

The comedy and the sets in this one are just so spot on. It is so different from the rest of the period dramas I have watched and it definitely stands out. Not to mention the amazing acting from both the two lead actors. Anna's Emma was less quirky than the other versions I have watched so she's my favorite. Highly recommnend.

Could have had a better ending.
28 December 2020
The first few episodes were definitely intriguing, but it felt too dragged at times. The color gave off a gloomy and suspenseful vibe, which I really liked. However, the characters in this series are just too annoying. The way they acted towards each other was utterly rude and disrespectful. Especially the students, I wanted to smack them the whole time.

The ending was so lackluster aas well. I hoped someone else would be the culprit, but it was pretty obvious already. Could have easily shortened this down to 5 episodes if they cut out the unnecessary drama.

This is exactly what I pictured a Gen Z rom-com to look like.
28 December 2020
First off, the chemistry between the 2 main characters wasn 't there at all. The writers tried so hard to make the female character quirky and 'woke'. She was too annoying at times. It was neither funny nor romantic. It was entertaining, yes, but it didn't deliver as a rom-com. The dialogue was so cringey but the sceneries made up for it a bit. If you have time to kill or need background noise, this is the right fit.

The child actor stole the show.

I have watched this movie 2 times already and bawl my eyes out every time. The young actress's acting was superb and very compelling. Chris Evans did not disappoint as well. The movie has significant character development and did not feel too dragged. I adored the acting and the meaning behind this movie. Would recommend for sure.

The movie was terribly slow and pointless.
25 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I just finished it and found myself skipping through half of it. It was painfully slow, with an intention of delivering a melodramatic feel I suppose. The acting was fine, but there was no message or moral lesson whatsoever, besides "save Earth before it's too late."

I also don't know much about science or how space works but the way they do it, feels a bit amateur. From the fake planet to the spaceship malfunctions, it was off. Wouldn't recommend.

The fighting scenes looked fake as hell but the ending kind of saved it for me
21 December 2020
Throughout the movie there weren't many moments where I'd go 'wow'. It was pretty anti-climatic. Gal Gadot's gorgeous but her acting is pretty bland. The scenes where she reencountered and parted ways with her love interest are just so stiff. Chris Pine did all the work, I felt.

And don't get me started on the fighting scenes. The way she would swing in the air is just so CGI-packed and gives off unprofessionally edited vibes.

However, towards the end, the fighting scenes got much better. That's a plus. But the main villain was also bland as hell. He was definitely intentionally portrayed to imitate Trump. The supporting villain definitely took over the show for me.

It was a good and entertaining watch. Is it up there with the other superheroes I have watched? No.
