Reclaiming Amy (2021)
One of the worst documentaries I have ever seen!
This documentary was clearly created to spin the narrative in favor of Amy's parents who in the 2015 documentary "Amy" were exposed for being pretty bad parents, especially the father Mitch.
Amy's father Mitch even said in this documentary that he loves the spotlight and Amy's manager tried to get him on board to send Amy to rehab but her father decided to have her make another album and go on tour while she was suffering.
If you want to know the truth about Amy and her parents watch the 2015 documentary "Amy" as it goes in depth on her background and the situations leading up to her death, along with how cold hearted and opportunistic her boyfriend and father are.
Wrecked (2016)
One of the best comedy shows of are era
This show is hands down one of the funniest comedies I have ever watched!
The cast, the writing, environment are all perfect. Why TBS canceled this awesome show is beyond my understanding.
We live in an era where a good non-political comedy is rare, especially on all these left-wing networks who thinks alienating half of their fanbase is feasible. SMDH.
I tired of well written shows being canceled and shows that are terribly written like SNL and all the other crappy "comedies" on mainstream television being propped up by left-wing politics and their agendas. I want to return to the time when I was a kid in the early 2000s when television was simpler and shows were actually enjoyable.
Ruby Sparks (2012)
It's better than you think
I saw this movie a couple years back and just remembered I hadn't written a review about just how good this film surprisingly is given the premise.
Paul Dano (Calvin) and Zoe Kazan (Ruby) are great together and the story is has a deeper meaning than what meets the eye. This film was entertaining, thought provoking, and fulfilling. It's, well written has a solid cast and most importantly it has meaning in more ways than one.
I thought the concept was unique and the delivery wasn't corny nor the characters out of place. This film will keep your attention all the way through and make you think about it afterwards.
Joan of Arc: God's Warrior (2015)
Joan's story gives me chills!
Joan of Arc was a strong willed, humble peasant girl who had strong faith in God which allowed her to believe wholeheartedly in the missions she was to carry out. Tragically she was backstabbed by the crooked politics and the habitually self serving, power hungry Catholic church.
This documentary does a good job telling her story but doesn't go as deep as Daniele Bolelli's "History on Fire" podcast where he showcases her powerful words towards the British and her accusers.
Her story is strongly resembles that of Jesus Christ IMO as they where driven by a higher power and faced accusations of being heretics by the church/Synagogue and were put to death on those grounds.
Josie & Jack (2019)
Could've been something better
This story is similar to "flowers in the attic" but it is even more unrealistic than that film. You don't get the sense that the siblings are in any real danger with their father's irrational actions or when they're out in the world on their own. The ending was a lazy and predictable one.
Honor Society (2022)
Pretentious garbage
This film is absolutely terrible. The characters were all plastic and generic which made it impossible to like them, especially the conceited, fake main character.
Save yourself time and pass on this pretentious film.
Men (2022)
Don't waste your time with this rubbish
This is by far the worst movie of 2022. It's like the director went for the shock/horror effect and threw all meaning and direction out the window!
Whatever this film was attempting to do failed to the highest degree.
Mistress America (2015)
Dumb and pretentious
This film was a complete waste of time: The director was either trying to get the filming done fast or trying to put as much dialogue in as possible because all of the characters were talking unrealistically fast.
Just a bunch of liberal arts kids who are awkward, ungrounded and unlikeable.
The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (2021)
Not Wes Anderson's best
I had high hopes for this film because of what I saw in the trailer, but it was a disappointment.
The film has the signature Anderson fast pace and dialog but the story and characters are a hit and miss IMO.
Jacinta (2020)
As real as it gets
This is one of the best documentaries of 2020: it is a raw and true telling of so much family trauma and addiction.
You will be rooting for Jacinta throughout this documentary to turn things around for not only herself but her beautiful, smart, kind, and innocent daughter.
Happily (2021)
One of the worst films of the year
I'll saving you over an hour of your life by telling not to watch this unfunny, worthless, contrived POS film.
It is so bad I wanted to use some curse words to describe what a garbage film this was.
The Killer Inside Me (2010)
Deeply disturbing film
This film was disturbing as hell! It'll make anybody who has a soul feel sick and the ending will make you mad for it's implausibility.
I wish I had never saw it.
Domina (2021)
Woke Feminist garbage
This show might as well have been set in modern times because the dialogue is as modern as it gets expecially with the main female character Domina: she talks to men like women do today (belittling, cocky, and rude.) and the conversations that Domina has always lead to feminist idiotology.
This show is a disgrace not only Roman history but the history of that entire era.
Behind Her Eyes (2021)
What a complete disappointment
I thought this show would be really interesting but it turned out to be dumb, unrealistic, and boring.
Also the black woman was way out of place and you could tell that she was put in there to fill a quota. SMH.
Fear of Rain (2021)
Had high hopes
I thought this movie was going to be like what the trailer depicted but it was not and turned out to be a waste of my time.
The Artist (2011)
Nostalgic
I grew up in the 90s but watched a lot of old movies that I checked out from the library and on PBS. This movie remined of those classic movies where men were men and women were women.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
Now, that was a funny movie!
This film did a great job making fun of how strange and funny Europeans can be. The casting was spot on, story was simple and it had laughs throughout.
King Lear (2018)
What was that?
I get it was Shakespeare play but I couldn't follow a damn thing.
Braid (2018)
Don't waste your time
The story, acting and directing are utter garbage.
Le fidèle (2017)
Not what I was expecting
I don't mean that in a good way. The premise of the story is simple but the writer tries to make it more interesting than it is by making it unrealistically tragic and leaving you trying to figure out what the film was trying to do. A love story with unnecessary addons to over complicate the film.
Story of a Girl (2017)
A surprisingly good TV movie
I wasn't expecting much given it being a LT movie as most of them a really corny but this was not that. It had solid acting from the main characters especially from Kevin Bacon and Ryann Shane. The story was well written and the directing was good.
Angel of Mine (2019)
Way better than expected
The writing, cinematography, and acting are all solid.
Watch it you won't regret it.
Sibyl (2019)
Sibyl is detestable
The main character named Sibyl infests and destroys every thing that she touches. She is a shrink who sleeps with her patients, has a kid with one that she keeps out of the it's life for verdictive reasons. She manipulates an actress into having an abortion which ruins the relationship of the actress and the actor who got her pregnant because he wanted the child. Sibyl then sleeps with the actor after ruining his relationship. This woman is the definition of cancer.
Whoever wrote this movie either knows someone like this or is twisted inside.
Jungleland (2019)
It could've been great
The 2 main characters in Stanley (Charlie Hunnam) and Walter (Jack O'Connell) get derailed by a selfish, annoying little brat named Sky (Jessica Barden) who always plays the some old character who only causes hurt and destruction for everyone else e.g., The End of the F***ing World.
This could've been a solid film about the struggles of 2 brothers trying to make it in the world but instead got highjacked by a subplot about some old millionaire named Yates (John Cullum) who traffics women from state to state. He gets Sky pregnant, she escapes, gets caught by the gangster Pepper (Jonathan Majors) who pushes her off to the brothers because they owe him money. They get tasked with delivering her back to Yates which causes their relationship to breakdown and gets them into worse and worse situations. It's a subplot that heavily distracts from the main plot and ruins the story IMO.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
One Star!
I would give it 0 stars if I could because that is how bad this film was. It is a film that has nagging useless dialog and goes absolutely nowhere. If you're planning on watching this film DON'T!!!
