Just started watching, but...?
27 October 2023
I just watched the first gunfight in the bar where Red outdraws 2 men. The movie shows the replay.

FIRST SHOT: shoots one guy's thumb off.

SECOND SHOT: got the other guy between the eyes.

THIRD SHOT: finishes off the 1st guy whose thumb got shot off, who the director apparently didn't notice the guy forgot to hide his real thumb: CLEARLY visible, pointing up, with the fake severed thumb stump behind it. Unless he had two thumbs on his right hand, I'm pretty sure it's a goof. (Did the editor even watch the movie? I can't see how he/she missed that.)

Going to keep watching to see if the movie gets better. If not, I won't add to this review, but my hopes aren't very high so far.

[Edit/Continuation: Ok, I watched the whole movie. I later realized that between the 1st & 3rd shot at the beginning gunfight, it was about 1 second apart, yet the replay shows the guy had several seconds to nurse & complain about his thumb getting shot off. Unless he's the Flash, bad editing. The rest of the movie had its moments, but very few. The filming was ok, but the bad acting, cheeziness, bland scenes, poor mimicking of a mixture of "Kill Bill" & "Good, Bad & Ugly" styles & bad ending makes me wonder if a better option would've been to watch the weather channel.]

"Infinitedium" would make for a better title
28 July 2022
The only positive comment I could make about Infinit(edi)um is that it showed that Tori Butler-Hart could act. However, the movie itself was excruciatingly boring. I could see Guantánamo Bay detention camp using repetitious showings of the movie as a tool to make some of the more hardened inmates talk. Or perhaps it could be used as a non-chemical, general anesthetic if viewed only once. As a movie for entertainment? Definitely not for me.

Mystery Diners (2011– )

Short & (not so) Sweet

Well, at least the bad acting seems real. (NOTE:The previous line is sufficient to complete the entire review, but I am required to contribute 10 lines. So, I apologize for the excess rambling, but I will do my best not to be boring.) "Reality" TV should in fact stay true to at least its genre. It has to contain the element of being REAL. You don't go to a Chinese Restaurant that serves only hot dogs & perogies. It would be wrong. You go because you expect to find Chinese food. Any show that places itself under the category of "Reality" needs to at least have that one ingredient. It has to be REAL. Simple. Mystery Diners, even if all their episodes are reenactments based on actual events, which I highly doubt, that would not be enough for it to be considered to be categorized within the universe of "Reality". They may as well include the "Creature of the Black Lagoon" movies because they included real actors and a real lagoon. IMHO, these people who vomit out shows based on deception & the assumption that the public is primarily gullible are no better than scam artists preying on the weak & ill informed. Like a cockroach, they've found a crack within the walls of Reality TV from which to operate. Oh well. At least there is a bright side. Some of us may have lost a few hours to their con, but their reputation is lost for life. What goes around really comes around.
