This movie properly disappointed me. Maybe my expectations were too high because WW1 was so good. Here are my two cents:
I still have high hopes for WW. Gal G is great but WW needs some new writers. Jenkins... what did u do! One word for you .. Ragnarok!!! If Thor could turn their franchise around, you can come from this too!!
Please do better!
- Placing this movie in 1984 does NOTHING. It contributes nothing to the actual plot.
- The story was weak. "Genie in a bottle"? Really? That is the best you can do? It feels that the writers came up with this absurd plot to be able to bring back Steve Trevor. It did not work! There was no need to bring Steve back!!!. Also, the fact he was a pilot in 1914 does not qualify him to pilot a modern jet!! ridiculous!!!!!!
- Pedro Pascal is an amazing actor and his character was a complete caricature. What a waste of a talent! He was the dumbest villain of all time. He is smart enough to know about the wishing stone but so stupid that he went to egypt to steal oil that the guy did not even have anymore!!?? Writers, please explain this to me!! Absurd. His character lack the duality that would have made for a good villain.
- The ending was too "sappy" and lack awesomeness. PP running to find his son after destroying the world is just lame. We never found out what really happened with PP and KW at the end? The bad guys never received any punishment plus they both know WW true identity! Writers, please explain this to me!!
- And the worst of all .. WW is not supergirl! She does not fly! Stop giving her powers that do not belong to her!! She is fast like flash and now she flies like superman, in the next movie she will be talking to whales, developing heat vision and will learn to manipulate technology!! She will be a one-woman justice league!!! Writers, STOP!
