Hayden Christensen... awesome
17 May 2024
After the fall of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Ahsoka Tano investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

So, blah blah blah... we all know that story line, "No, I am your father." "That's not true! That's impossible!" My whole point is that Hayden Christensen is freaking awesome in this series.

I understand that my personal opinion means nothing to the masses.

I'm not a narcissist. Lol My whole point is that Hayden Christensen killed it!!!!!

Seriously, he's a heck of an actor.

People are petty, and most have no kind of "brain to mouth" filter.

Which is fine... I am not dismissing these fans.

Ok. I see now that I have dug myself into a hole.

So... that's all I have to say about that.

Wonderful, missed it's window
6 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Had this film been released 3-5 years ago it would have had a larger audience. I truly believe that. It's a "Hero/Feel good" movie. It's my own opinion and investigations into fan feedback not to mention it's the last movie in a franchise.

I don't believe it got the attention it deserved.

That being said, I thought it was great. It has everything, emotional highs and lows.

The bad guy totally sucks.

Redemption, family, comedy, romance and sibling relationships. Which personally I find hilarious... Ok. The problem with these reviews is the character requirements. Yet, I have read one paragraph reviews.

Lol Just give the film a chance.

Uncomfortable

Warning: Spoilers
Tairaku is a teacher at a local high school. He has a crush on Ms. Satsuki, a fellow teacher whom he hopes to someday marry. Then he meets Aya Shirakaba, upon whom he makes such a favorable impression that she transfers into his class. Unfortunately, Aya's father is a very wealthy and powerful yakuza boss, who charges Tairaku with keeping his daughter safe and pure-or else. Add to that the hordes of men and woman at school who'd love to get their hands on Aya's body, and that Aya has secretly moved in with Tairaku, and constantly makes passes at him, and Tairaku is now in world of trouble.

That being said, this show has a manipulated male role model being forced to take care of a spoiled UNDERAGE girl, by her own father.

It made me feel uncomfortable.

Arrogance against arrogance
2 March 2024
I am an American, born, raised... we have only ever had a Civil War fought on our soil. I have no idea or understanding what a great land war at this time period was like.

I figure that it was absolutely awful.

I have realized in my fifty years that governments care very little about their countrymen. If there is a way to win a battle the government, safe in their Bunkers, will willingly sacrifice troops for Their agendas.

In this time period, people were either conscripts or, for no better word: slaves to their government.

These poor souls carried out horrific deeds in the name of their masters and country.

Trying to depict these atrocities on film is a task of utter importance.

This generation NEEDS TO REALIZE: you are not special.

Everything you think is new has already been done by better people.

Wake up!

This is my humble opinion.

Thank you for reading.

Simply wonderful...
26 February 2024
Let me state that I am a science fiction lover, I have read tons of it. Hundreds of short stories and novellas and novels. I just didn't get a chance to read any Asminov (?spelling). I have heard of the three rules of robotics from Phillip K. Dick stories, but otherwise I am not familiar with his work.

That being said, having ZERO foreknowledge of the "Foundation" as a trilogy, and after watching the show, then listening to the Podcast.

I just have to say that I love this series!!!!

As if it were an original work written in this decade.

When season 8 ends, I will buy the whole foundation book series and read it.

Now for the zealots: just give the show a chance. Stop being tedious. It's unbecoming. And actually paints one as a jerk.

Being a purist is admirable, however, adapting to the recent times is how society works. Adapt or whither away.

My humble opinion.

Thank you for reading.

Jupiter Jones was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine Wise, a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along - her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

I watch this film every year around this time. And I find it better every time.

I totally get it, people need to give this film a chance. From what I have gleaned, people don't understand the story.

Breakdown: Earth is valuable to the most powerful family in this galaxy. Through reincarnation the true owner can claim ownership of all previous investments. This troubles the descendants of the heir who then try to manipulate all situations in their favor.

The end. Lol.

Totally underrated.

Smallville (2001–2017)
10/10
Rewatch review
30 July 2023
After a meteor shower bursts from the heavens, raining destruction on the unsuspecting citizens of Smallville, years pass, and the healing process leaves the town's inhabitants with scars and secrets. From the ashes of tragedy, a popular yet awkward teen attempts to decipher the meaning of his life and his clouded past. As he struggles with the transition from boyhood to adulthood, Clark finds that his strength and strange abilities set him uncomfortably apart from his peers.

As I rewatch this series, I can feel the emotions, or rather I'm empathetic to the characters. I feel the heartbreak of Clark when Johnathan dies. The writing sometimes is hit or miss depending on the inept writers, however, the message is always clear. Clark must make sacrifices.

This is a wonderful series.

That's all, thank you for reading.

Love the show hate the politics
14 May 2023
Legends of Tomorrow! What wonderful and creative idea!

I was totally with the writers when Sara fell in love Ava. That whole storyline is written beautifully, it's wonderful to see Sara Lance have a future. As far as the Arrowverse; she deserves a chance for love and support and a relationship!

That being said: With all the pressure and attention on the series as is: I'm broken hearted that society punishes the disenchanted, the odd, the ugly, the different!

Who really gets to decide what's beautiful.... Or what is not?

Seriously, these are questions that should keep people up at night!

That being said: Right or wrong:!!!!!

The writers and creators of this show are brilliant.

Just my humble opinion.

Thank you for reading.

The Flash (1990–1991)

Best Show of 1990 hands down
23 April 2023
Growing up I loved this show!

In my generation of television and movies growing up, we had The Six Million Dollar Man, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel and Isis hour, The Incredible Hulk, and reruns of Batman (1966).

Which were wonderful, don't misunderstand.

In the 1980's we had The Greatest American Hero... look basically it was very cheesy, but it was bread for the masses! We were starving for live action Superheroes!

Then came The Flash!

Seriously, while I rewatch the series I enjoy it more every watch. I just recently bought the DVD set of the full series.

I just think that this generation of superhero enthusiasts are spoiled. They don't know what the industry went through to achieve these fantastic digital effects. Sometimes I can't tell what is digital and what is not. And I love it.

Anyway, thank you for reading my ridiculous and humble review.

Great script needs updated
24 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was surprised with this film! It does not disappoint, the threat feels real. The mutant organism is a real threat, reminiscent of Alien (1979) where that creature could be anywhere, around any corner or behind any door!

Even the nude scenes are very story based, especially for a horror slash adventure film.

My only real criticism about the film is the opening sequence.

We get no frame of reference or background on why some random spacecraft is attacking another spacecraft?! Honestly, think about it, if someone were in a spacecraft and nowhere near any civilized planet, how the heck would some other random spacecraft find them?

I digress... Anyway, worth a watch in my opinion.

I would love to see an updated version of this film. Even a "straight to video " film.

Morbius (2022)
10/10
Underrated
8 March 2023
When most fans hear the the name of Morbius, in a Marvel universe they probably expect Spider-man to make an appearance.

Sony went a different route and made an origin story for a character, who in the comics is an antihero. Jared Leto gives three dimensions to a character who's only ever been seen in two dimensions.

The story is solid, Michael Morbius has had a debilitating disease since childhood, while being treated for said illness he makes a friend with his bedmate Milo. Milo's family is filthy rich, but Milo is looking to live a full life. (Milo is a nickname by the way)

Morbius goes on to become a doctor and made it his life's work to find a cure for their illness.

Hope that this was helpful.

Why so harsh?
1 February 2023
I actually really like this film (yes, film). I grew up in the 70s and 80s cable television, low budget, unnecessary nudity, super slasher movies... it was a great time to be a teenager.

The lead actress is great I was seriously impressed. I had an honest emotional reaction to her acting and the character's story.

Whoever performed the rock climbing stunts is awesome! Well, in my opinion.

I just don't understand the reaction of other people who have reviewed this film. Why they throw venom is beyond me.

The lead actress... that takes a lot of strength and courage to run around "Naked and Afraid" in my opinion.

Bumblebee (I) (2018)

Unnecessary yet enjoyable for kids
24 September 2022
As an adult who grew up watching the original series, prequel's are ok but are they necessary in this case.

In the first film the audience finds that Bumblebee is already on earth before the other main autobot cast arrives on earth.

I'm just saying that as far as my personal opinion, this film was just the studio jumping on the bandwagon for easy money. Spin-offs and prequels are all the rage right now.

Does anyone remember that "reality show" boom on cable? Just after the turn of the century... Studio's are weird in my opinion; I say this with utter ignorance by the way, because these numbers people have no idea what the audience wants, they seem to only be interested in the profits.

Just my humble opinion readers.

Thank you for reading.

What is there to say really, except: "Watch and learn!" Great insight to Coach Beard.

Loved this episode!

Love Ted Lasso!

This format tells me that my review is too short, so I'm adding a bunch of random crap to cover for the missing content.

I can't understand why "short" Cannot be "sweet"?

Love the film! I may have done some things different
11 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Background: I am a 50 yo man, I grew up with lame superhero movies after the original Superman. So now watching movies of this caliber is just thrilling! I wasn't spoiled on CGI and Pixar movies. I grew up with practical visual effects and muppets.

Ok stepping off my soapbox.

This film is pretty fast paced and has comedy in all the right places.

My only issue is why can't Strange and Wong just sling ring her all over the universe for a while? At least till the find a hiding spot.

And when did Wanda go crazy?

Otherwise, a solid movie, the only answer I can come to is that: this is how things play out and there's other way this would have happened.

Poor Fitz. That guy has been through the ringer! A homicidal Inhuman experimental doctor and scientist, performing inhumane experiments on innocent subjects, then having to mentally DEAL with those choices after the fact. Wow! Iain De Caestecker is a brilliant actor! Believable and heartbreaking! I give this episode a 10 because personally I think it deserves it!!!!

Fast and Furious in Space
19 May 2022
Here's more government sanctioned hollywood propaganda! This is just more lies about the planet being spherical. Everyone knows that the Earth is flat, and if someone were to actually fly above the clouds they will hit the invisible dome containing our atmosphere!

Just kidding!

On a serious note, in my opinion, the producers need to stop making sequels for this franchise. The story lines are just getting absolutely ridiculous, and or ludicrous.

They would be better off making a weekly series with stronger character arcs.

This is just my opinion. Otherwise, the movie is entertaining yet not based in reality.

5 stars!!!

Tired of conjecture
4 May 2022
Seriously, most of these so called "trivia" are just simple conjecture of random people trying to connect the movie to comics. There are no footnotes or any factoids that connect this original story to the comics. So I beg you people: please stop making obscure references to material that you "think" could be connected through this media.

What I'm trying to say is, if you were not on set, or the screen writer, or the director please stop making up fake "trivia"!

It's misleading and untrue. Plus it hurts the film and actors.

No one cares. Please stop making comments that are unsubstantiated. It hurts the whole genre.

Just an observation.

Great parody/lampoon is better than reviewed
10 April 2022
From the opening 5 minutes this film sets its theme. In my opinion there are several laugh out loud scenes and subtle jokes that make this film a wonderful time filler for pure enjoyment. No stress no mess.

I can't understand why some people are so hateful. It's not as though there were uncouth jokes about sensitive subjects. The film focuses strictly on parodying the "Twilight" films.

I'm just saying... lighten up.

I love vengeance for love movies.
8 April 2022
I realize that losing a loved one in a movie or comic book is a very tiresome trope. Still, I absolutely love that theme. I was raised on Star Wars so I'm a HUGE fan of obvious good verses obvious evil. I'm not a big fan of backstabbing from beloved characters. This movie checks all my boxes.

So love it or not I honestly don't care. It's a well rounded and well acted film that deserves recognition.

Look... it's way better than most of the action films from the 80's on which I grew up.

Just my humble opinion.

So stop being a TROLL and give credit where is due.

OMG reviewers get over yourselves
13 March 2022
I have read the reviews and the so called goofs that pertains to this movie. Here's my problem. In this day and age people seem to think that their opinions matter. NEWS FLASH: it doesn't. Their reviews are based in our reality. This is a SCIENCE FICTION MOVIE, you morons. Get off your high horse and really WATCH the movie. If you personally don't find it entertaining then turn it off and move on with your life. Because with a planet with a population of over 7 billion opinions. Your review really doesn't matter.

Look: you either like the movie or you don't. Please stop acting as if you're movie reviews mean something to everyone. Because it doesn't.

I'm just saying, if you are a true film buff, you would not be hen pecking.

Look, it's very simple, the more negative your response to FICTION based films only reinforces my statement.

In other words, your opinion doesn't matter.

Great movie, bad soundtrack..
17 February 2022
The movie is absolutely incredible, I grew up in the 70's and 80's and have been a comic book nerd since 8 years old. In my time, it was all forced perspective, make up, and practical effects. Now... but NOW CGI has caught up with the fanboys expectations. It's a very exciting time for film makers. And fans!

That being said... the original soundtrack sucks for this movie. ( in my opinion) So it sucks out enjoyment for me personally.

3.5/5.

Best western EVER
14 November 2021
In my very humble opinion, The Outlaw Josie Wales is the baseline that all other westerns should follow. It has all the elements that any true western fan could ask for. This was the first dvd I ever owned, my mother bought it for me and I used my PS1 to play it on. Please don't misunderstand, there are many beautiful western movies. I'm just saying that in my opinion, this one has it all. Tragedy, comedy, suspense and action. I guess what it really comes down to is the believability of the characters. Thanks to anyone who read this review.
