Lost Ollie (2022)
Beautiful!
This is just one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. It has so much heart and virtue. A depiction of how love can make a soul beautiful or ugly. The deep or dark aspects of the story went over my kids heads, but they loved the series over all and fell in love with Ollie, and so did I.
It's rare to find a show my husband and I can not only watch with our young kids, but one that we actualy enjoy watching as well and we find so engaging. We wanted to watch each episode as much as the kids did.
It was pure and real, and I can't believe it's not number 1 on Netflix right now. It really should be.
Lightyear (2022)
Good Family Entertainment
I wasn't going to review, but after my family and I watched this I remembered it got bad reviews and had to wonder why. We really enjoyed it. It was funny and the right pace, characters were good. People are incredibly critical. Why??? One star... really???? How hard are you people to please?? Tim Allen is getting up there and the plot literally centers around the fact that Buzz is a young guy, wouldn't have made sense. And if you want to shield your kids from all forms of love in this world, not only do you suck, but your trying to shield them from life itself. Get over it, and yourself.
The Adam Project (2022)
Very entertaining!
Surprised the rating on this isn't higher. It was funny, touching, and full of fun action scenes. It's a very entertaining watch. I just love Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo and all the actors in this movie were great. Definitely worth a watch.
Back to the Outback (2021)
Should have a higher rating
The whole family really enjoyed this. It has a lot of really funny moments and enjoyable characters. Surprised it has kind of a low rating, it deserves higher.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Yes..pretty much what it was and what it still is
Was great. Very relatable to us lot that believe in crazy things like science and facts. Casting was amazing. Must of been cathartic to make this movie, felt a little cathartic to watch it. Sometimes you do just want to yell at people who refuse to ackowledge something that obviously exists. Unfortunately many don't believe it till the very thing is actually killing them.
The Starling (2021)
Touching
I adore Melissa McCarthy. I think she has been proving she can do much more than comedy. It was a beautiful touching movie that felt very real. This felt like real people going through real pain and working hard to get through it. Not over dramatized or lacking.
The Mitchells vs the Machines (2021)
True family movie
Movie the whole family can truly enjoy. So much fun and heart with adventure and comedy. Can't imagine anyone not enjoying this movie. My kids will definitely want to watch this again, and I won't mind at all!
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (2020)
Love this show
I absolutely love this show. I laugh, cry, and genuinely enjoy the singing. I hope this show gets to stick around. Sadly the best ones seem to get canceled. Please please stay!
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: Zoey's Extraordinary Trip (2021)
Another great one
Don't think the bad reviews are justified. Most don't seem to have a problem with the drug use scene, though that was a bit weird and out of character. Low reviews because the show rightfully called out inequality in tech and workplaces in general?? That's honestly depressing. That people get that upset because they would rather remain willfully ignorant is pathetic and obviously part of why is exists.
The Boys (2019)
Everything
So entertaining, it has everything, action, violence, drama, tragedy, and even a little romance. It is very very dark, but somehow it all doesn't feel like it's just there for shock value.
