Reminiscence (2021)
Waste of time
I do have to admit that the movie has great visuals, but that's about it, the story changes left and right, characters you are supposed to root for lack any meaningful qualities and the ending is just a punch in the gut.
F9 (2021)
Nothing matters
The characters' plot armor is so thick that nothing can hurt them, unless the plot says so of course. As for the plot, I am fully convinced there was not more than one second of thought put into the whole thing, every scene just leads into the next until the film is over. Avoid like the plague.
Army of the Dead (2021)
Too long and nonsensical
I can certainly feel why some would call this "movie" Zack Snyder-y, since allowing him to write and direct the dang thing is a recipe for disaster, which certainly arrives about 2 hours before the movie actually ends. Also, cool it with the slow motion and depth of field, this isn't a deep movie and you know it.
Lawless (2012)
Pretty entertaining, but nothing groundbreaking
For all it's worth, it's a film worth watching, but there are some boring bits here and there. There is also the lack of "heart", so to speak, the plot is above average, yet the end result is quite good.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)
How to make superheroes lame 101
I don't know why or how this steaming mess came to be, but it absolutely baffles me that someone approved of this. Sophie Turner couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, let alone carry an entire movie, so this is already a bad choice by default. Everything else, ranging from the story, characters and the other actors is just so boring. An absolute snorefest from start to finish. This film has absolutely no redeeming qualities apart from being the last nail in the coffin (hopefully) for the X-men franchise. It's high time this iteration of the X-men was buried and forgotten.
The Boys (2019)
Best series of 2019
This series is the perfect remedy for the "superhero nausea" from Marvel and the like. It's amazing in every regard and paints quite the picture of how superheroes could be perceived in the "real world", with some added flair, of course. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Shazam! (2019)
Pretty good
This film is by no means a 10, but it certainly can't be rated as a 6 either. Sure, it has it flaws and at times shortcomings, but it serves as a great example of what DC can create if they distance themselves from the edgy side they went with in the case of Justice League and Batman v Superman. All in all, it's a pretty fun family movie, definitely worth a watch.
The InBetween (2019)
Cliché
This show is far from innovative or even somewhat interesting since the whole "girl helps ghosts" type of show has been pretty much sucked dry at this point. There are way better shows similar to this one that don't suffer from the same incompetent writing and are pretty enjoyable, too. The characters are pretty dull, one dimensional, and no, if someone drinks on the regular that does not mean they are layered nor troubled, that just means the writers don't know what to do with their characters.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Disappointing
After being accustomed to the high quality from the previous episodes, I find it hard to wrap my head around the fact that such a fall from grace could be possible. The story is interesting in the beginning, but it quickly falls into a downward spiral and doesn't quite recover. This episode might have worked as a kids movie, but as a Back Mirror episode, it just fails in every regard.
Fighting with My Family (2019)
Really good
I went to see this film without any proper knowledge as to what it was all about and I gotta say, it's a solid movie. Great acting all around and quite a cool story. You don't really need to be a WWE fan to enjoy this great film!
American Gods (2017)
What even was the point of season 2??
It never even tried to give an answer to the pre-existent questions and only really seemed to drag out, giving way to more questions that will, at the end of the day, not be answered....
Violentia (2018)
Dumb
The only question this movie leaves you with afterwards is why in the world would someone make this travesty.
Serenity (2019)
Just Perfect
Now, now, before you deem my review outrageous due to the score, I have to say that it's enjoyable for the fact that everything is borderline hilarious. No joke, every scene from start to finish has a comedic value, whether it's due to the stupidity of the dialogue or the delivery of it or how seriously the actors take their job. Also, this film is perfect if someone wants to see 3 shots of Matthew McConaughey's backside every five minutes. So yeah, give this movie a try if you want to laugh.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Somewhat disappointing
I have to say that Endgame was enjoyable, albeit sometimes for the wrong reasons, yet this is to be expected when all the MCU is combined into this strange conclusion. The performances are very good, although one is left wondering what the point of introducing Captain Marvel was due to her lack of actual contribution to "the grand plan". I firmly believe that this could have been done better by postponing its release or splitting it into more parts so that the pacing, the tone and at times even the story wouldn't be so all over the place. However, I am glad to have seen the conclusion of the franchise and hopefully Marvel will continue to deliver great movies in the future.
The Umbrella Academy (2019)
Excellent
This show is the prime example of quality, the soundtrack, storytelling and acting is top notch.
Doom Patrol (2019)
Really good
Glad to see DC stepping up their game. Definitely worth a watch.
Mortal Engines (2018)
Lacking
The visuals are incredible, but everything else is just a letdown.
Vikings: The Lost Moment (2018)
All that buildup for nothing
My God did they ruin this show. They hyped "the sacrifice" for so long and what was the resolution of that? Nothing. Bishop Batman and the whole Iceland plot could be removed and you'd still have the same GOT ripoff of a bad show. The sudden rise of cuckoldry and pointless erotic scenes might shine a light on Micheal Hirst's convoluted vision of a great show, but to the viewer with the least amount of sense, they serve no point.
Titans (2018)
I expected nothing, but I was still disappointed
This is so full of flaws that it's honestly very hard to find something that's actually good about it. The fight scenes are meh, the CGI and special effects are terrible and oh my goodness gracious the audio is some of the worst I have ever heard.
I recommend that you give it a go, though, because if by some miracle you get past the first episode you might actually like what comes next.
Siempre tuya Acapulco (2014)
A waste of time
Greetings,I would like to start by pointing out that this telenovela has way too many episodes, like the fact that they could've ended the story with the same old cliché story, with the girl,Olvido, marrying Diego, but nooo, they just had to do 20+ episodes more.
*SPOILERS* The story takes a weird turn at one point, with Olvido becoming amnesiac like Diego did in the first episodes. She gets to an asylum and to our "surprise" the caretakers don't really help her at all, quite the opposite.Regarding other characters, the ones that help Olvido, they are the definition of generic, they are the generic "good, but poor guys".
I do believe that some people might find this generic love story entertaining, that is if they haven't seen any movies or other telenovelas at all,so please consider watching this telenovela.
P.S:If you still decide to watch this telenovela, lower your expectations, don't expect anything to make much sense,in other words:Embrace the stupidity and the lack of originality that this so called "love story" brings.
Knock Knock (2015)
A little late review
I know I'm a little bit late on this review, but I hope this will help you decide if the movie is worth watching or not.
First of all, this movie was bad in a way I can't really describe, after watching it I literally thought about what to feel.
*Spoiler alert* Seeing one of my favorite actors,Keanu Reeves, the awesome John Wick, being defeated by two teenage girls felt kinda wrong. This movie has somehow become one of my most hated ones.Evan had a lot of opportunities to overpower the two girls, but instead he became the exact opposite of John Wick.I didn't really know what I've expected from this movie, but it turns out I wanted too much.
As a conclusion I would say this is by far the worst movie I've ever seen in and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. P.s:The "sex scenes" were almost the only reason why I gave it a 2.
