The Batman (2022)
Though dark and gritty, it was too long and it was an attempt at a Batman movie
No chemistry between characters, very little action, more of a murder mystery than a superhero movie. The entire tone of the movie and soundtrack followed the Nirvana song something in the way throughout the entire movie except for the couple of times they played Ave Maria. I absolutely did not like Ben Affleck as Batman but he did a much better job at playing both Bruce Wayne and Batman than Pattinson could have ever wished he could have reached. As a long time fan of Batman I'm truly blown away by the number of good reviews as this was nowhere near to a Batman movie. Yes it was dark and yes it was Gotham, but it was not a superhero action movie.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Don't waste your time, especially if you loved the original.
This movie has it's head so far up it's own ass it came out just like you'd expect.
I used to watch the original movie once or twice a year. I'll never be able to rewatch that or any other Matrix property ever again.
Good Girls (2018)
While a decent show, the fact it was Filmed in Atlanta is obvious!
In episode three, where the ladies have to go to Canada, you can clearly see Stone Mountain in the background, and the "border" is actually the entrance to the park!
Why wasn't this filmed in Detroit, where the story is actually based?
Otherwise an entertaining show. Good actors deliver believable performances.
Stargate Origins (2018)
Are you a true Stargate fan? DO not go further, stahp!
Acting: Awful would be a nice way of describing it
Special effects: Low budget? How about NO budget, could have done better with a SG workstation from the 90s
Time format: 10 minute episodes. Huh?
Bringing back Michael the wraith as Catherine's father... Wha wha what?!?!
If you want to retain those warm fuzzy memories of Stargate actually produced, acted, and performed the way it was meant, steer clear of this dreck!
Moms' Night Out (2014)
Started out cute, quickly devolved into religious blather
At first the wife and I got into the movie, it seemed to give a fairly realistic perspective of what parents, especially mothers have to endure on a daily basis, but we soon found ourselves looking at each other more and more frequently as god and the church kept coming up. At first we thought maybe it's just character building, but then the big bad biker tattoo artist starts in with his "holy" story how Jesus loves us all, no matter what...
This movie, while is does have a few funny moments, intends to "show" how the power of an imaginary friend can save your life and soul! Go god!
