Movie of the year.
23 December 2019
A simple love story, told through a truly challenging perspective. But damn me if it ain't the most beautiful film I've seen all year. Simply amazing.

Joaquin is top notch...

...but the others can't really take cred for anything cause the movie is, unfortunately, not that good. It's a bad idea to give Todd Phillips the responsibility of making a sequel. He really came up short.

Well...

Joaquin is the perfect example of what it means for an actor to carry a film. He is simply one of the greatest ever. However, the chronological order, as well as the predictability of this film, makes it far from perfect. Oscar worthy? Well sure, in cinematography as well as in the best actor category. But if it is rewarded with more than that, I'd be surprised.

It simply isn't good
5 April 2019
Save yourself some time and at least watch something with decent acting. The part of the lawyer, played by David Denvik, is the only one that is somewhat played well. The rest of the performances are soulless, uninteresting and flat. I've heard good things about the book, but despite that, I didn't get my hopes up about the series. Needles to say, I wasn't really disappointed, as I really didn't expect anything more from it. It simply isn't good.

Joe Cole - Amazing
30 September 2018
A Prayer Before Dawn touches upon almost every grand subject of life. Love, lust, hate, deep anxiety and the willingness to survive. Even though he does is with minimal dialogue, Joe Cole's performance is one of the greatest I've ever seen. So raw. So full of energy and all different kinds of emotions. This film was a proper hit to the gut. Punt intended. Bravo.
