Outstanding sweep of the complexities of surviving in wartime. The fact that it is a true story adds needed perspective to how vulnerable everyone is when mad men reign. Particularly touching as we consider the current Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. I recommend this to everyone!

This show has everything most moral loving people are seeking - dialogue with wise points regularly woven in, historical context that give perspective for 21st century citizens, a beautiful setting in British Columbia Canada, great animal shots and a solid professional cast. The best part is the modeling of female assertiveness - dialogue for all to hear the speaking the truth in love while "respecting yourself and respecting others". Of course Jack is a noble, brave and uniquely handsome public servant. His and Elizabeth's relationship is edgy and different from what most expect. There is a good balance of comedy, romance, action and teaching. Bravo for the Hallmark Channel hitting the mark of what millions of viewers are wanting - inspiration for making our world a better place because we've passed through it!
