Arrow: Invasion! (2016)
Best Episode Ever!!!!
truly this was the greatest episode of arrow there has been since the season 2 finale. I tell you that I was most looking forward to this episode not just because its a crossover but because it brought back all the old characters from season 1 and 2 and I do mean all of them.
The first thing that was great about this episode was the crossover aspect. The Flash, Supergirl and Cisco all came over to Star City. they team up with Felicity and with some of the recruits, Wild Dog, Ragman and Mr Terrific. The crossover stuff however was very small in this episode however. Supergirl really was there for about three minutes but it was awesome to see her on Arrow. When Arrow started no one could've imagined we would have a Superman level hero on there. and we get the wave-rider at the end of the episode with Citizen Steel showing up which was a nice touch.
Most of the episode was dedicated to celebrating Arrows 100th episode. We got to see almost every old character back in this episode. Laurel Lance, Deathstroke, Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk, Moira Queen, Robert Queen. they we all saw in person how ever Tommy Merlyn and Roy Harper both appeared as holograms or visions to Oliver at the end. The acting was on point and the emotional levels rose as the episode went on. The crossover aspect did not take anything away from the celebration.
It all took place in an alternate reality and none of the returning characters were real but it was great to see them none the less. It just showed me how much I miss the character of Moira Queen and it was a pure pleasure to have her back. the scene with her and Thea was so emotional that it made me tear up. But the moment at the end when Oliver pretty much says goodbye to his parents made me cry completely. It was sort of the same as flashpoint earlier this year but was far more emotional just because the character of Moira Queen was one of the most developed characters within the first two seasons where as I don't know nor do I care about the character of Nora Allen.
And the scenes with Laurel were just sad. I wish she was still around, and I wish we could have her back. We even got to see them almost being married. but that didn't fully happen. In the end it was sad to leave Laurel behind but I know its not too long until we see her again.
All in all this episode was great. the return of the old characters was done really really well and was really emotional. The crossover aspect was great and I cant wait to see how it all ends in tomorrows episode of legends of tomorrow.
The Flash: Killer Frost (2016)
how does it do it
this show continues every week to be a high quality, fun and entertaining TV show. to me we have not had a bad episode since season 1 and this episode continues to prove why the flash is so good and why its the best DC superhero show on television.
the first thing I want to talk about is what you can guess from the title of this episode is. this episode focuses heavily on Killer Frost/Catlin Snow and did a great job with her. her arc this season has been building to this episode and the payoff was huge. I felt really invested in this story this episode and the inner struggle presented for Catlin was great and to see her try to overcome Killer frost was superb.
Another thing I really liked about this episode was the proper introduction of Savitar. The moment he was first on screen I felt his presence, I felt intimidated by him and that is a perfect thing to feel straight away. unlike the Reverse Flash and Zoom we don't know if Savitar is even human. He also looks to be much faster then both of them combined and pretty much handles Barry like a rag doll.
Wally West's story in this episode was short but great. we are finally seeing him slowly start to become Kid Flash and its really exciting to see where his story will go from here.
I really like that Flashpoint wasn't just brushed off within one or two episodes. I love that it has and hopefully will continue to affect things throughout the season.
MAJOR Spoilers HERE!!! so the ending to the episode to me was unexpected. I did not even think we would find out the identity of DR Alchemy until the second half of the season. but we found it out in this episode and to me it was totally expected. I said from the moment we meet Julian that he would be Dr Alchemy and I was right. we find out the he is Alchemy and now we know this I wonder when team flash will find out and what the will do about it. it could be a fake out but I highly doubt it is. I'm very happy with this reveal and I saw it coming from a mile away.
to conclude I thought this episode was one of the strongest thus far. the directing by Kevin Smith was amazing, the story and character developments we got were great and really helped the story along. Everything about this episode was spot on and the I cant wait for the crossover next week.
10/10
Arrow: Human Target (2016)
back on track
Human Target surprised me in many ways. it was a great episode.
last season arrow really fell off the rails in terms of quality and story and action. there was no tension last season, it was all about felicity and her relationship with Oliver and her family. And to be perfectly honest I was not looking forward to season 5 at all.
so far the season has been strong and I have enjoyed it much more then last season. however this episode in particular really brought me back into the show. it was intense, it was fun, it had a great story, it was gritty and the characters had good dialogue and great developments.
the big bad makes his presence known in this episode. at the end of the episode tobias church has been captured by the green arrow and is been escorted to jail by a lot of police. this scene is great because the camera focuses on church whilst you hear screams of police officers outside. it creates tension and keeps you on the edge of your seat which is what season 4 failed to do. then we see Prometheus the big bad of the season. he warns church earlier in the episode that if church went after the green arrow he would kill church. well he lives up to that promise. in one swift move Prometheus kills church. this was the perfect scene because it showed us how ruthless Prometheus is and that makes us fear him which is something we have not been able to do since season 2. as Prometheus walks away from chruch's body we see about 20 dead police officers all killed by him. the introduction to Prometheus is perfect in every way and is the strongest point to this episode.
the action is great this episode. season 4 was a mess in every single way possible. this episode proved to everyone that arrow has potential to be great again. even felicity was good this episode.
if you gave up on arrow last season like me, I say give this season a chance. every episode has been strong so far and it feels like its going back to its roots like season 1 and 2. give arrow another shot.
Star Wars Rebels: The Forgotten Droid (2016)
not as good as last time
This weeks a episode of rebels was not as good as last episode.
its nice to see a chopper episode and i think the end of the episode is great where they find there new base which i think is the planet dantooine.
The episode itself was part of the overall story but i think we all just want the final to arrive as soon as possible.
at the end of the day it was a good episode but a filler episode. i also think the droid that chopper makes friends with is is the droid that will be in rouge one.
overall 7/10
Star Wars Rebels: Shroud of Darkness (2016)
Best yet
This is the episode that we have all been waiting for. The episode is great. top 5 best moments
5.We get to see Yoda make his appearance once again. What i like about his appearance is the fact that he is now regreting fighting in the clone wars and its very interesting to see that Yoda was scared during the clone wars. A great was the speech he gives to Ezra about how the Jedi were consumed by darkness. My favorite moment with Yoda was when Ahsoka turned to see Yoda and Yoda gave put his hand up and gave her the look of "im sorry" and ahsoka smiled. that moment was the best because it was such a call back to the clone wars and it was an opportunity to bring back the amazing yoda theme tune.
4.We got to see Anakin on a holocron and in this scene we learn that Ezra has been learning lightsaber skills from the holocron. We also learn that Ahsoka sore Anakin again after she walked away at the end of the clone wars. this was great scene and one of the many reasons why this episode is so good.
3.The appearance of Darth Vader at the end of the episode was a great surprise. We now know after seeing Vader that we are getting into the final few episodes and the final is going to be heartbreaking.
2.The biggest surprise episode was the grand inquisitor. We learn that he was once a jedi temple guard which now gives the character so much more depth. it was a great reveal and it makes us wonder why did he turn to the darkside and what does mean for his character in the future of star wars.
1.The best moment of the episode was ahsoka's vision. She sees and speaks to her former friend and master only to be told that she failed him and that she was the main reason he became Darth Vader. And this makes ahsoka knows the truth now and it sets up the season final.
The episode was the best episode we have gotten out of the show. it was an ahsoka heavy episode and it feels like it is the start of the end for ahsoka.
Fantastic Four (2015)
The worst attempt yet
This is the worst attempt ever at a reboot. no one can make a good fantastic 4 movie that is good. i am so angry with this awful attempt even batman and robin is better then this rubbish. The characters are the most one dimensional characters you will ever watch. Doctor doom was the worst part of the movie, his costume was the worst looking thing i have ever seen. The first fantastic four movie from the 80's or 90's is better then this rubbish. go watch ant-man instead that's great.Overall there were some enjoyable parts but not enough to get me to like the film as much as i wanted to. i was looking forward to this movie so much but now i am the most disappointed fan of them all.
