Scream VI (2023)

Good yes but...

The franchise ghost face no longer has anonymity the twists are the same. This was no different than scream 2 except we get a bonus ghost face which the franchise has never done and this ghost face isn't afraid to kill anyone that gets in their way. And this ghost face can glide like a ghost. The kills are brutal the ending kills were so deep you probably can taste the iron from the blood. Scream VI has more stab counts that I can count.

Scream V and Scream VI both kills brutal compared to Wes Craven's Scream. It seems the vision for the series is torture porn.

Either way, it's a good popcorn movie.

Hellraiser (2022)

A new take but still follows the lore

Some have read Clive Barker's book and some just watched his movie but there is not much difference between them except the Priestess aka Pinhead in the book describes the upper body as a female and voice like a child.

The real issue with the reboot is the characters they were truly annoying. Roland Voight character as the new Uncle Frank is okay but no where close. Wish they could have done the introduction just like in the book. The way Clive Barker describes everything when Frank solves the puzzle and what he witnessed is terrifying.

Either way, a good reboot and better than the previous.

Clearly most of the reviewers haven't watched Scream movies or they would understand the rules of what makes a Horror movie a Horror movie. Part 4 was the reboot that Wes Craven gave us but how much longer could it be about Sid and Ghost Face?

Problem with most reimagining movies fail with Legacy characters and fail retelling the history.

Sure the acting wasn't top notch and the new main character was a bit flat but what was intriguing was Ghost face how the kills were done especially one during daylight.

Either way, Scream 2022 it is still watchable but don't watch it with so much high hope.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Marvel promised phase 4 will be more horror and I am still waiting.

Koreans are back in action giving us a great vengeance TV series. If you like Korean Vengeance movies I recommend vengeance trilogy Park Chan-wook. Netflix really needs to get into getting classic Korean movies.

The Many Saints of Newark (2021)

As much I loved the short story the way the series expanding from the book is twisted. Makes me wonder if the series is planning to make this a prequel to Salem's Lot while the short story was in both books Salem's Lot and Night Shift.

Adrian Brody deserves a Golden Globe nomination for this role.

Malignant (I) (2021)

James Wan more please

When it comes to horror movies James Wan knows how to take classics and give them a refreshing new life. I would love to hear from Dario Argento I would wonder what he will say on this new take of Supernatural Giallo movie.

If there's ever going to be a sequel WB/New Lines you better get James Wan back.

Kandisha (2020)

Director's will never top their other movie Inside

That's the sad part because the made after Inside are just generic or cliched and was hoping they finally learned. The story is just weak and plenty of plot errors or plot holes. Either way still watchable but don't expect much.

Romance and horror done beautifully especially the locations which it takes place. If you're looking for something different and refreshing I would recommend to see this movie.

Wrong Turn (2021)

A completely new story but

Even though reboots or reimagining are not meant to be exactly as the original but the name Wrong Turn doesn't fit since they didn't take a wrong turn.

But as it's own a interesting take on backwoods people but we all have already seen this sort of characters. The movie is generic it's not also terrible I give it least 5 or a 6.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)

A different direction to the series giving a new life

If anything the main conjuring series is more watchable than the spin-offs but what I don't understand is the hate for the third one. It was different from part 1 and 2 which is a good thing and many who are saying it wasn't horror it was a mix of horror and drama.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than part 2 which was pretty much the same as the first.

Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (1981)

This movie is two important parts one mental illness and two Homophobia which in 2021 Wokeness people would deem it when it should be used as learning experience about homophobia or mental illness.

Highly recommended this hard to find movie and thank you Shudder for streaming it.

Creepy (2016)

Will make you scratch skin so much

Creepy is enough to describe the movie first hour e is Alfred Hitchcock and second hour is literally David Lynch slow but very affective story telling.

Gangs of London (2020– )

Garth Evan's pure action art

Ignore the haters if you never seen Garth Evan movies maybe you should before watching this amazing tv series. Originally was planned to be part of Cinemax but later scrapped because network was killing off any tv series but thank goodness AMC+ saved it.

Once you get into it you just can't stop bingeing the series it is graphic violence and language but the story with all the content makes it entertaining.

Highly recommended can't wait for season two.

Season two you will notice the difference when the show runner Garett Evans who decided not to return for second season.

Second season starts of great up-to episode 5 but from there it just goes downhill and the action is not as good as last season and there is more cgi blood.

Garett Evans please come back for season three.

Books of Blood (2020)

Should have been a TV series

The standalone movies that are based on Book of Blood stories are much better, not perfect but gives room to tell the story. The major issue is with this movie it lacks any Clive Barker stories it is a new story not from the books.

The first tale is the worse even the last it just never made sense and the lack of any scares and morbid stories that would scare you shtless such as Book of Blood story Dread what makes it also not enjoyable if you enjoy Clive Barker books.

Spiral (I) (2019)

If questions such as who Liam was or if he is alive which was revealed by the end or what was on the CD it was also explained by the end. Also the Grandson was explained if that was left everyone wondering.

This was a powerful story about racism and homosexuality very well written sluggish in the beginning but a top notch trip through hell.

A unneeded spin-off that probably was meant to be a movie not part of the conjuring universe. Explains why this was released in theaters out of no where with zero promos they knew they had sh$t and looking for a fast cash in so what better way to do it by making a terrible script part of The Conjuring universe.

This movie is really PG-13 there isn't anything R-rated just bunch of cliches and typical tropes. Oh yeah let's not forget the usual jump scares that weren't even scary I mean usually jump scares gets you to jump off your seat but not in this movie.

The complaints are ridiculous here this was just the pilot and ummm yes the costume looks terrible well because this takes before she appeared on arrow. People complaining about batwoman being lesbian is hilarious sound like bunch of Trump supporters this is why no one can enjoy movies or tv shows someone has to cry POLITICS.
