This is the first time AHS made my cry. This episode is the one
17 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I must say I was very sceptical towards this season as I didn't know where exactly it was heading to. Does it want us to broaden our mind and sensitivity towards the gay community (and that is perfectly ok), or does it want to show historically how the AIDS was born? Or maybe both. The truth is the acting is superb, the plot is sometimes somewhat unexplained and the leather daddy really was not explained at all, unless it represents Fear we all have and we all must face.

With that being said, this episode finally showed how hard was it for the gay community to find its place in the world, how much they had to hide, struggle and lie in order to be accepted. How much it hurts to get an unknown illness that killed thousands of people in silence. And it shows how important it is to sort out some questions before we die. So that we can finally find our inner peace and let go of the last breath, without too much weight. Finally we get to see how some of the characters met, how they became what they have become, what good or bad they did. And still I don't understamd if Mr. O'Hare's character is alive or dead 🙈. Whatever, maybe ot was all just a metaphore to show all the dead souls, as Fran said - they were all going to die, and it was the AIDS who caused deads of many main characters. And yet we don't know, so far, what exactly happened to Sam. If he's still wondering in his redemption dream or is he actually dead? Too many questions and doubts, that's what I don't like and what drives me to want to see more of it at the same time. But that apart, this was a superb episode.

Alexys Floyd (Neff) is the real star here, Anna Chlumsky doesn't fit here, don't you think?
3 March 2022
And that says it all. Her acting is impecable, when she plays the professional concierge or the easy going friend in private, changes her accent accordingly in that "black" way (and I don't mean it wrong, I really love it). She is way more interesting and definitely more superb than the character of Anna or even Vivianne.

Maybe I am alone to think this, but definitely I am not alone to see her acting talent in this flick.

I really hope to see her again, in all her personality shades, in some bigger act. I think a new star is rising.

Anna Chlumsky, on the other side, does a one way acting and her character is angry, fed up, nervous and negative all the time. I can't say I enjoyed watching her, she really made me wanna quit watching many times. Moreover, she really sends a horribly wrong message about pregnancy. By the way the actress was actually pregnant while shooting. Vivianne looked almost disappointed that she was expecting and didn't care in any way about the baby and her husband's feelings - not cool. I myself had several miscarriages and am pregnant right now, it's like a miracle for me and seeing this Vivianne dealing so badly with her pregnancy makes me feel bad...

And talking about Anna? Well she actually was Russian, then moved to Germany as a youngster, so I am cool with the fact that she has some Russian accent. But she is so extremely unkind and nasty - well I guess that was the point of depicting this character. The real Anna was likely very similar to what we saw here but the main character wasn't enjoyable and I cannot believe that so many adults believed her teenage lies.

I Am Legend (2007)

Impressive story, emotional acting. The only flaw is the CGI
16 February 2022
I will not repeat what many here have already said bofore, but I would like to underline how impressively this movie was shot, the ambience and the city is just perfect. I was wondering whether they used studios and entirely rebuilt the city or managed to get the city swept ouf of people to shoot these scenes :) Will Smith does a great acting job, I could not imagine anyone else at his place. The bond he created with the dog was not only fictional, by the way, as he tried to adopt her after the shooting and they developed a marvellous and beliavable relationship. However, he did not succeed as the owner didn´t want to give up the dog.

With that being said, we can assume this is a great post-apocalyptic movie that suits greatly also the current pandemic situation. Like - just imagine what happens after people transform with all those vaccine shots... hypothetically obviously.

The only flaw I couldn´t omit are the CGI effects. I mean - we have movies shot much longer before the year 2007 and they did a better computer graphic job than this movie, like Matrix for example. The fact that the infected / zombies looked all the same, moved in the same way and most importantly had all the same dress made me laugh and say that the CGI experts could do a bit more effort for God´s sake. Running through the streets in the same green trousers and shirts, like really? Who gave it to them? Wouldn´t they be naked or rather in the same dress they dad from the day they transformed?

I loved the movie and it is not a case that I use to watch it once a year, I need it somehow. This movie is great and the soundtrack only underlines the story. Definitely recommend it.

Primitive and full of problems, worth a B movie
9 October 2021
Really? The parents in 10 years haven't age a single day?

The father gets son's necklace from a random guy and he trusts him immediately, plus gives him those 10 000 bucks. All this without alerting police and doing that search with the Police instead. Cody Fern is great but he is totally wasted in this role. I don't even stop to talk about the plot, those zombie red people and other plots details, becausw this, ladies and gentlemen, is a B short movie. Keep that in mind.

Apart Marylin Monroe looking like a monster...
7 October 2021
No offense ment to the actress, Alisha Soper, of course. She is a good actress and all, but totally miscast and unbelievable for a Marylin, starting from her face features.

Anyway, while I like this season, it puzzled me totally as it was cut in half and the plot changed totally. So the Black Pill series ended and the UFO series started and it´s like we have two different series packed in one, with no connection between them whatsoever. I could not understand that - they could have just easily shoot a new series called the UFO in black and white.... I am a bit disappointed as the Black Pill series (as I call it) did not have the right ending, it feels like unexplained.

Let´s see where this new series will bring us to.

By the way, I don´t like the new young actors - they are models and influencers, in real life, but not really good actors. Many of you said that....

Now we´re talking!
7 October 2021
This episode was one of the few that can have the right to be connected with the sacred AHS franchise. The previous ones - nope.

Also, Billie Lourd saved that, more than any other actor present in this episode. I actually enjoyed very much this episode and was happy that enduring in watchingn this series paid of it´s price. Although I admit that some parts of the plot were pretty predictable, like from the very start. You know what I mean, I don´t want to write spoilers so I will just say - the blonde girl :-)

American Horror Story: Take Me to Your Leader (2021)

Did you notice and watch "American Horror Stories"? That crap explains why this was crap
30 September 2021
So, I've been a long time AHS fun and literally been waiting for every new episode like for the Christmas Day. But good times are over, it seems.

I strongly recommend you to watch some American Horror Stories (AHS spinoff) episodes, you will witness a pure directing, acting and plot disaster. And some actors from the spinoff could be seen in this 7th episode, like Cindy Crawford's 15 y.o. Daughter (a model, not an actress) in the main role. It's like the Falchuk and Murphy duo wants to force the series to younger generations... First of all - bad idea to stop this 10th series in half, inventing some finale without sense. Second - why there is a new series in this series? What does this UFO topic has in common with these episodes? No one said they would just randomly switch the whole story within a single series. Apart that, such a messy episode, without any sense, lame dialogues and another sexually confusing topics.

I am not happy with how the AHS is evolving now and I hope the creators actually listen to the viewers. They are ruining it all.

Very depressive, negative, empty. Only Dafoe saves it
22 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Some movies are like a box of chocolate - they are sold with a luxury package, but the taste leaves much to desire. This is the case.

As many, many users wrote here - this movie is irritating and that is not what it should be. While I understand that a drama like this actually happens to many people, and things are not easy, this was too much over the top. I love drammas, I love thrillers, raw life movies, but this is just some shooted scenes depicting only negative things going on without any progress in the plot or any deep thought. The main female character (the Mother) acts without any sense, and as a mentally ill, uneducated and unworthy person. You will see... I mean, what is a dope like that doing free in the streets dragging her daughter to her personal hell? No one is able to tame her, not even the police, which is unbelievable. She nearly kills a person and everything goes fine like it never happened. The daughter is no génius in my opinion, just a cute kid.

The only good side of this mediocre flick is Willem Dafoe, as always brilliant but unable to save the whole movie. And anyway, I never want to see that actress again, really, why... I love negative characters in movies when the actors are great and are able to wake up many emotions in you - but this was far from good acting.

Don't waste your time.

Weak. Miscast actors, dumb messy plot, no chemistry
27 July 2021
The title says all. The two main characters, Sarah and Reese, are miscast in my opinion and they lack any chemistry, they are not credibile as John's parents and lovers. The only great actor is John, and sometimes our good old Terminator.

Apart that, the plot is messy, a bit dumb and does not convince.

So far, this might be the worst Terminator chapter.

Unnecessary sequel. Well filmed crap
3 November 2020
The story is extremely shallow. No time for deepening the characters or the reasons why a man that's been in jail for years escaped and continued from where he started - killing without criteria. It is well fimed, some actors ar actually good, others are not. The figure if Michael is rather ridiculous, like a shadow that kills without thinking or existing. Everything is extremely predictable. No surprise here.

There is a reason why Conjuring is so great and this movie is not. So many core ingredients are missing here.

Surprisingly, I didn't like it. Overrated
24 October 2020
I add myself to many of others here who uncovered the real problem of this movie - it's overrated.

I know well and esteem all the actors here, yet this is not a movie worth an Oscar for their performance. Overacting, totally predictable dialogues and character reactions and no deep characters. Geoffrey Rush is a Master Actor, but I just could not stand him here, what was that, a scared chihuahua? He could not even show his real potential here.

They used all great actors, that probably only the namelist itself would be a great movie guaranteed, but the chatacters are written poorly.

I stopped the movie before reaching the middle of it, I just could not stand it. Such a pity.

Underrated and better than Blairwitch
19 June 2020
I ran into this movie by accident, but I am happy I did. I must say that this movie is underrated, and in it's category - docu footage horror, it's one of the best I've seen. Unlike in Bkairwitch, where you are tortured for hours by yells and crackling sounds without ever seeing some actual horror scene, here you get your portion of horror. Gradually things go more intense and you try to understand who is good and who isn't.

The plot isn't much complex, but clear enough to make you enjoy what happens in between. The acting is actually good and believable.

For sure, I would not stay there for a day longer, as obviously things were not right there when a person disappeared, but they did stay... And that's why you have something to watch now:-)

The final was ok, but I would prefer a happy ending at least for one of the characters, still this way it's more realistic.

Life is not a Fairy tale after all.

Infortunately, I did not get it. And I really tried.
5 March 2020
Good acting, and I like Ruth Wilson. But it's the plot and the story who is almost empty. 80 minutes flew away and I was still waiting for what will happen, when will arrive the explanation of many things. But nothing.

What was the message? What happened in there? Why did that happen to the protagonist and why Polly did that? Still wondering.

It hasn't happened to me in a long time to see something so much unclear.

It might have a profound meaning for the director, but if he does it for the people and people don't get it at all, what's the purpose?

It could have more potential, such a pity.

The man might be simple, but the character and plot is superb
27 February 2020
Don't let yourself fool by some negative reviews. This movie is a must see if you like good acting, dark plots and no fake happy endings. The fact that our actions follow us, and that one sole action can move and chain some incredible and unstoppable consequences, is undeniable and true.

This movie moved my consciousness, not that I ever harmed anyone, but reminds me of one thing: "There is always another way. There always is".

Good movie, somehow unexplained, superb Samara Weaving
28 November 2019
So to take it short. The movie is show very nicely, great acting. However the idea that binds this movie plot, family game, is not explained enough. So seeing all the characters beleiving the trashy story about their grand-parent and his games, and following the non written and unexplained rules and killing without any remorse, made me feel confused and puzzled. It was actually never explained why the hell in that house happened what happened. The ending was quite surprising, but also in this case unexplainable.

The merit goes to Samara Weaving, who in my opinion was astonishing and superb in her acting.

So consider this movie for a nice evening with friends or fiancée, but don´t expect Oscar aspirations.

The Affair (2014–2019)

Brilliant, unexpected, intense. Worth your time
22 November 2019
Seeing The Affair, the whole series with its 5 seasons, was like living 4 lives in addition to my own. It was so intense and addictive, that I just needed to go on in order to see what will happen next. Of course, some of the twists were rather sci-fi than really possibile in real life. I mean - why make things easier in your life, when you can complicate it even more above any immaginable limits, right? I forgive this aspect to The Affair, because apart that, it is just perfect.

It´s useless to tell the whole storyline, but I just want to tell that the reason why this series had such a great success was the "humanity". Yes, the immensly human approach of all the characters, with their fears, imperfections, mistakes, great face mimics, beliavable reactions. Sometimes I struggled to believe that they are just reading the script and not really living those emotions. And this does not happen all the time. It also means that the cast selection is flawless, the chemistry is there.

And also - everything what happened here, could happen to anyone of us in our real life. Well, almost everything :-)

It was the first time that I was really interested in seeing a series, and watch it to the end. Together with Bryan Fuller´s Hannibal. Apart that, I don´t really seek for series.

As everyone said - stupid. But also shallow and non-sense. Here's why
22 October 2019
There's not much to say about this DVD flick. I truly don't get how it could reach such high reviews as 6.5, probably some reviews were paid or the watchers are not objective. Infact, the acting is extrmely poor, almost offending. The plot does not exist. Some dialogues are surreal in certain situations, like the one when the father is lying injured on the floor, others already dead, and he finds time and mental strenghth to argue with his son that he is an internet criminal just because he suggests some gadget to buy on Amazon (which was also without sense). The filming could be fine and it convinced me to go on through the movie, yet it was a big mistake. If the movimakers think that we are no smarter than lab rats, they are mistaken. Don't watch it, save you time for a better piece of art.

Shockingly violent doesn´t always mean art, and big names don´t always make a big film
7 April 2019
I like Lars von Trier and I saw most of his movies. He definitely signs his movies with his typical modus operandi. In this case, it´s impossible to avoid confrontation with Haneke´s Funny Games - the realistic and raw violence, and acting with pure foolness in mind without really having a reason to kill those unlucky folks. Still, I must say that I enjoyed much more Funny Games (both in Haneke´s original version and in the new one with Naomi Watts and Tim Roth). In this case, Trier showed off too much violence, too many repetitions and the acting of the main character was just too predictable to be genius. You see - when there´s too much of something, it just kind of loses its effect. You must use certain elements wisely, randomly without exageration, otherwise the final result is just a bunch of desgusting scenes. Sometimes Trier managed to be funny and ironic, but I admit that I left the cinema in the middle of the movie - at the scene when the mother had to feed her mutilated sons. That scene particularly was too much for me, and useless in my opinion, and it was the last drop. Even if I saw many more rawer horors, I couldn´t stay this movie.

I also admit that I did not like Matt Dillon. He did not convince me and I would give this role rather to Kevin Spacey or Edward Norton. Dillon´s interpretation gave me nothing and his face showed no particular acting emotions.

So there are many reasons why I would not watch this movie again. And if you like interesting and intelligente narrative, you might be disappointed this time. Uma Thurman had such a stupid role here that I could not beleive it. She acted and said things almost without reason - everyone would kill her!

This time it´s a NO for me.

A brilliant animation, great narrative, beautiful music, overall emotional
30 November 2018
This VR content, which I saw in my Oculus Go, was probably the best visual Experience I've ever seen. Samantha Morton's voice is superb and comfortably guiding you through the 5 main stories, while exploring the five human senses, plus some extra mini effects. The animations are very very good, immersive, and the music, probably tailor-made for this experience, is perfect. I can only recommend you watching this, it's worth your time. This app is very good for those who always wondered how is it like inside of the belly:-) while a woman is pregnant, in order to explore how the little human miracle works. I would say it's good also for schools to explain pupils some elementary things about pregnancy in an interactive way.

All of us were this baby, a long time ago. It's good to see the place and time where we can never come back again:-)
