Escape to Athena (1979)
It could almost be funny if it wasn't.
Typically Lew Grade and low grade. Ridiculous storyline, terrible script and truly awful acting. The sets all freshly swept with no sense of realism. Incompetent Germans soldiers and a few nasty Nazis thrown in. A couple of explosions here and there etc etc. Roger Moore acting his socks off, ha, ha. And Stephanie Powers getting her kit off, almost. All involved should have been embarrassed or maybe they were just enjoying the sun and taking the money. Don't waste your time.
Trigger Point (2022)
Oh well
Well, that was a complete waste of time. Guessed who the guilty party was early on. A waste of some great actors talents. Very disappointing. Expected better.
SAS: Red Notice (2021)
Why was this film made.
I'm actually glad that I watched this. It'll ensure that I never again watch any film that involves Ruby Rose as actor or Laurence Malkin as writer or Magnus Martens as director. In fact any film commissioned by Sky.
What on earth were Tom Wilkinson and Anne Reid thinking? I suppose that Andy Serkis was just glad to get any job where he didn't have to pretend to a creature of some sort.
It's rumoured that Sam Heughan could possibly be the next James Bond. Could well be, he's just as wooden as Roger Moore was.
Lastly, I'm amazed that this film has been given a 10 by any reviewers. I can only assume that these are the moviegoers that it's aimed at. Braindead.
The Blacklist (2013)
This review doesn't contain spoilers. Beyond spoiling.
I've tried to like this, I really have.
Ridiculous storylines. Each episode lazily written and churned out to a mind numbing formula. The acting is horrible including that of James Spader. Megan Boone would be better off selling perfume in a department store and Diego what's his name is as wooden as Pinocchio. Special effects harking back to the 60s.
Anyone involved shouldn't be allowed to work in TV again.
Oh dear.
Znaki (2018)
Were the writers drinking the "Holy Water"?
When I started watching series one I thought that I was onto something good. The scenery, filming, acting and storyline had possibilities. Then about half way through things started to go wrong. It all became a bit disjointed. Editing confusing, characters appear and disappear. Things happen to people without explanation as if the writers forgot something or suddenly decided to change the story.
Then in series two it gets even worse. Someone decides to film bits in split screen for no discernible reason. Flashbacks that make no sense.
Very disappointing and I watched it all. Why?
Les Ombres Rouges (2019)
Walter shouldn't have bothered presenting!
Came across this on Sky as part of their "Walter Presents" foreign subtitled TV series. Really wish I hadn't.
Contrived, ridiculous, nonsensical storyline. Combined with a poor, lazy script and bad acting from all concerned this proved to be a complete waste of time.
Scenery was quite nice.
