Blue Beetle (2023)
Predictable and some lame jokes
Well, what a start off of movie with a joke. Some stranger old man swiping on tinder dates while telling the (Jaime) main character look like he's 6 figures in debt after he asked how he look when he wore his graduation hat. My first thought is they are definitely gonna put in a lot of lame jokes and comedy into it.
When Jaime want to kiss the girl, well as you guessed it, someone's got to interrupt and stop the kiss, that also kind of annoyed me, why every movie got to do that cliche interruption? Rather not have any of that.
Also when they say it looks like the Blue Beetle is trying to protect it's host at one part, so a part when Jaime tried to fly, it didn't activate the suit and fly, my first thought was he could just jump off the building and the beetle would activate itself. He then thought about the beetle would protect him part they told him and did what I expected to, jump off the building. It's so predictable.
Also the whole family can fly an unknown spaceship like an experience space pilot, they know what buttons it can do. Grandma use a handheld disco gattling gun of course for some comedy aspect. Like some badass grandma. OK I would give that to them, It kinda suits her.
There is also this Mexican scientist that work at the lab with the antagonist who then risked his life saving Jaime. Jaime didn't even know him at all and he seems timid to be doing that. I'm sure they just do that just because he's Mexican and so are Jaime. Way too corny man.
I am only just watching for the CGI, the rest are just meh.
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Is this directed by a 5 years old's imagination?
So many of these moments just turned me off. Makes me wonder what is in the directors mind. I'm gonna write a whole list of the ridiculous moments.
"Hey, Chris Pratt, can you choke the dinosaur?" The dino seems lifeless before it got choked, like choking a puppet. Don't seem like Chris Pratt even used any strength to choke this dino. It was that bad. Lots of the animatronics looks very fake and lifeless.
The bird raptor could have gone straight for the prey but decides to go for a swim, wow. Chris dropped into the water, it decided to swim around of him before charging at him. I think this bird raptor is a troll.
The locust on fire and still able to fly. What's it's wings made of? Also when the locust are presumably "dead" in lab springs back to life again to add in some "action".
Big dinos fighting scene, the T-Rex pushed the competitor into the other dino's sharp claws, pierced through his body and it's dead. Man, it's body must be made of paper to be pierced through that easily.
Also when Chris said "I made a promise to it's mom (raptor)" HAHAHA. Absolute cringe moment.
There was a part when raptors were chasing the vehicle, the vehicle skid on 2 left wheels and rub against the wall but no sound effects were added. It look so off and bad.
Seriously, what is the director thinking, this is the worst movie of the century. You should be ashamed of yourself. Literally cash grab to Jurassic Park fans.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
So many things doesn't make sense
OK, I have never seen a movie so bad like this one. So many things doesn't make sense.
Early on Freddy got to know this girl and they both fell in love quick, till when Freddy talks about how he finally got a girl. That instantly came to my mind she is a villain already. Like this is too good to be true, she is setting up traps and I was right! But funny enough, this villain isn't villain enough, she have different views from her sisters. She is kind hearted and her sisters are evil.
Imagine living together for 6000 years or more and killing each other because of these humans. So why did they get angry for killing their father when they can kill each other just like that? Also why did Anne come to this world to go to school? Like hello? Does all these make sense to you? This ain't student film. Also falling in love with this kid in that short span, he ain't that funny. Are you thirsty for too long?
Also taking 10 years for the dragon to kill the couple. I thought you were ruthless with humans and your sister. Just use fire to burn them to death, why you trying to walk up and bite them?
The only thing I enjoy is the CGI, it may be bad to some but I think it was good, like the design of dragon and unicorns. The ogre looks kinda bad though.
Breaking Bad (2008)
Worth to watch!
I really hate how Jane died and her character just ended like that. Also Jesse's 2nd girlfriend that are innocently killed. It really pains me to see them go. I think it would be better to just left them alive, broke up with Jesse or something.
Additionally I have to take 1 star out because of how Hank did not realized Walt could be potential cook since he keep talking about chemist. He had a brother in law that is also chemistry teacher, he's bald like what they mentioned Heisenberg is. What W. W stands for. He actually did name Walter White. All these didn't actually get into his "smart" head but he can figure out that the laundry is very suspicious for no reason and continued to try and poke his nose in it even though all the rest of DEA disagree.
Also Walt didn't kill the owners of Grey Matters (Walt's previous owned company) which is also a shame, I was hoping for them to die in Walt's hands.
Monster Hunter (2020)
Great monster CGI, bad plot
The story is really confusing. The ending just leave you like that, a new monster came into the real world out of nowhere. So many question in mind.
So Is it a common thing Rathalos hunt Apceros at night? It needed a midnight snack? With such highly skilled predator, shouldn't Rathalos be sleeping at night and hunting in the day?
So the very first Rathalos they killed isn't the same one at the tower? All along I thought it went out of the portal with the woman.
Lots of parts when they cut while fighting, I couldn't tell what is going on. Some dude running towards Rathalos, a quick snap and you see the dude fly back, by what? I couldn't even tell.
The only thing I would praise is the CGI, the monster are really well done.
The Lion King (2019)
Great realistic CGI but really no emotions
I don't know if it's because they couldn't put in certain expression due to making the lions looking realistic, when Mufasa died, Simba doesn't have a sad expression. You just can't feel the sadness. When Nala found Simba, she is happy but you can't feel it too. Nala voice acting is really plain and just seems like reading out from the script.
Also Nala ambush out of nowhere while they were singing, the music was good but the sudden cut of song kinda ruin it for me.
The other thing is that Simba's fur had to flew for a damn 5 mins, I kinda got impatient about it. They really try to drag the movie time longer and I don't see the point of the fur.
The only great thing in this movie is the CGI, beautiful CGI.
Sing lek lek tee reak wa rak (2010)
Ending is Ridiculous
I gave this movie a try after I have watched a Taiwanese movie called Our Times.
Saw it on YouTube comments that say this Taiwanese movie is a copy of this Thai movie but the only thing similar is an ugly girl turn into pretty girl.
*Spoilers*
I like the movie at first, every thing is good with some funny moments. But after the scene where Nam confessed her feelings for Shone, every thing starts to get bad. So Shone actually liked her too, but he didn't do anything when she confessed, he didn't seem like he really care when she fall into the pool. She is crying so hard and he doesn't seem like he had any reaction to that. (A girl you love crying and you are doing nothing?) Not even a sorry? He didn't even held her hand to stop her from going.
After that scene, shows a full album of her photos he had took of her since the beginning (because he liked her too). I don't know why he is keeping it a secret since he knows she liked him too. Playing hard to get? Every thing just doesn't make sense after that.
After 9 years Nam and Shone doesn't seem to have contact with each other and met on a show (probably planned by the host), yet they both still like each other? So Nam's first question to him is "Are you married?" So both of them stayed single for the rest of their life because of a previous love which they have no contact of?
Doesn't make sense at all. This whole ending part is a big turn off for me.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Cringey Movie
The fights are epic and I love it but those talking are super cringe. Especially the asian girl, I just find her to be very extra. "Slaying dragon is a western concept, in the east, they are sacred, divine creature, blah blah blah". Also showing her family history which isn't related to Godzilla.
There are few parts which doesn't make sense like the wind on the flag when Madison is on the roof. Strong wind suddenly blow on the flag and Madison's hair and clothes isn't affected.
Same as when Godzilla came down like a meteor and the debris and smoke came towards them but Madison opened her eyes and mouth like it was nothing.
This could have been a nice film but all these mistakes makes it look so bad.
Naruto: Shippûden (2007)
Probably what you expected in a Ninja world.
There is a lot of fillers for the anime but the story is excellent! Lots of different characters with different abilities and personalities.
There are a lot of episodes to watch and sometimes they will bring in "Naruto" (child Naruto)'s story into the fillers, therefore if you want to save time, you can just watch Shippuden. I am quite immersed in the anime and it somehow felt like Deja Vu.
I would recommend people to watch it or you can get to know some of the story through Naruto's games. They had quite a lot of games because this Anime is quite famous worldwide.
