They're Watching (2016)
Just terrible
This is awful. Just awful. The special effects at the end are so bad they are bordering on offensive. By the end of this film I was wishing the witch would jump out of the screen and just kill me so I didn't have to watch it anymore. How did this complete pointless nonsense even get the funding to be made? My favorite part was the credits at the end would of rather watched two hours of them. The acting was dire, the storyline was like something rejected by a true movies specials marathon. Seriously do yourself a favor and watch something else. Maybe a documentary about paint drying or how they make church steeples or just go to bed. If you like films this is not for you, this is not a film it's a pile of pants.
Altar (2014)
Not bad
I honestly quite enjoyed this. After reading the other reviews I was expecting to hate and turn it off but I quite liked the story and the pace didn't lose me. The filming reminded me of old school silent witness and the storyline was easy to watch. To me it was a typical watch on a rainy dark evening film with not too much
going on so you could watch it in relaxed fashion. Obviously it could of been better and I'll admit when I heard the first English accent I did think great this is going to be rubbish, we don't do horrors well, but the scene setting music and the ending really did give me that uncomfortable creepy ghost story kind of feeling so it was a slightly lacklustre hit in my book
American Poltergeist (2015)
An hour of my life I'll never get back.
By far the worst horror I've ever seen. I put this on as back ground noise while I tidied the house, needless to say my house is spotless because this film is unable to hold your attention more than five minutes. Wooden, uncomfortable acting with a slow boring some what awkward storyline plus filming which looks like it's been filmed by some kind of gcse drama class equals a slightly irritating hurry up and get to the good bit style film which I would not recommend to anyone. I really don't understand how films like this get made nowadays. It was like watching an extended episode of the joys of wall painting. If you like a good horror film this is not for you.
