The problem with critics
23 December 2017
Firstly, I don't understand why people are hating on #Netflix's #Bright I thoroughly enjoyed it. The charters and plot are really different and has potential for a great sequel because the world was amazing and the charcters by the end really developed well.

Now the problem with critics these daus is that they don't want to seem like they pander to the common denominator but the common denominator is the common people so they aren't helping the populace decide whats good it's putting them down for God knows what reason.

This is a classic example as such and as a result many people aren't going to try an original (property) film that was acted in reality despite being such a unique well developed world that I really hope gets developed further.

My favorite Netflix film to date

Hey look who can act
17 September 2016
Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham collaborate once again with a huge cast of mostly action bloke films. While this is absolutely still a bloke film this one is quite different from your average Ritchie film and I have to admit I find myself impressed with the acting range shown by the entire cast but a shout out to Statham who was a real performance surprise and absolutely to Ray Liotta who hit all of his marks perfectly.

I hope more film makers see this film as a new benchmark for the two actors so they may be cast in a few more interesting rolls.

I enjoyed it and hope you guys do as well when you get around to seeing it.

Ghost Hunter (2003 Video Game)

After 12 years still my favourite game!
7 September 2016
I remember the very first copy of this game I ever bought, it was for my little brothers 8th birthday and further more I remember him booting it up on our new PS2 and instantly hating that it was his.

This was at the time the best game I had ever seen! The graphics were out of this world, the characters were quirky and fun, the story was horrifying and the game-play was original with so many tens spots.

I have had to buy four more copies since then due to me burning through it so often as a child, but that was 2004 and it is now 2016 and games have come a long way so for pure nostalgia I decided to boot it up and after 12 I found myself just as in love with it!

The graphics had surprisingly managed to still keep up with some much later games admittedly it was mostly character graphics but the worlds are still some of the most original to date but my favorite being the school. It was such a fun game and while yes the game had aged a little I found myself unaffected, however other then for nostalgia sake there was little to no replay value but hell if I wouldn't sink my teeth into a remaster. I missed the characters and I think that sequels could have been a thing if user ratings at the time hadn't been so poor but I think it's surprisingly original.

Hope you guys give it a go.

A movie For Most Maybe Even More
4 August 2016
The date was the second of August 2016 when I nervously rented this film from a convenient Video Easy Vender Machine tasked to pick a movie that all 7 of my family would enjoy, including a very catholic Grandmother.

To my relief and surprise everyone enjoyed it! Maggie Smith was fantastic, it was so bizarre to see her play a character that wasn't a 'Dame'. I mean every time she is in anything we call her Professor McGonagall but in this film she was nothing like it, offering a wide range of acting emotions and persona, she just seemed like a real person.

The acting all in all was very solid with a great British cast and the the film was just that very pleasantly British. It didn't offer anything new with cinematography or operation but it was still very simple and nice.

Hope you give it a crack and enjoy the great story.

Big Load of Fun

Warning: Spoilers
The Story of the charismatic characters in this Disney Classic is so fun, but a bumpy road to get there. From the beginning of the the story we develop a relationship between Hiro and his older, wiser brother Tadashi and happily accept them both as our leading protagonist, but we are ripped apart very early with Hiro's loss of his brother.

Of course not before we are introduced and fall in love with the true hero of the film the lovable Baymax.

Although the lead Hiro has a lot of alternative motives for chasing the man in the mask (mostly revenge) all of his buddies have only one motive and that's to help Hiro recover form the lose of his older brother, there school mate and friend.

The burst of colours in this film were great and in fantastic Disney tradition it offers something new with an old formula. Though sometimes you would love to get to know the other characters in the film for a bit of a switch up, I still enjoyed the creative mix of Japanese and New York universe the story is told in.

Enjoy, I did.

I Think I'm to Young to get the Humour in this...
1 July 2016
Don't Get me wrong I think Bill Murry is hilarious in most of his films even his older ones, I mean who doesn't love the original Ghostbusters? But this film, despite plenty of praise and encouragement from my father just was a little boring for me. I mean I get that not many are going to love this review and no film has ever been loved by everyone but I honestly don't understand the colt following of this.

The filmed looked aged even for its time. The acting seemed to be half delivered. The cinematography was very basic and the soundtrack a lot of the time didn't match the scenes. I found myself watching it all only to not offend my dad. The character development of Phil (Bill Murray) was verybpredicable and the love connection seemed to forget that this was over the course of one day plus I don't think that Rita's (Andie MacDowell)character from the start was very much like what she was come the end which doesn't make sense in this particular scenario.

However I did enjoy the insanity and suicide montage it was by far the funniest part.

I have to admit though he shore did love it and his a tough critic much tougher then me so it has to still be a good film.

Massive Sad Face
1 July 2016
Based on a popular yet aged video game I was surprised to see this was even a thing seeing as I had never heard much about the old or later games.

I was actually a huge fan of the latest Alone In The Dark game (2008) and I like Christian Slater as an actor so I was expecting to have an enjoyable lazy watch. However this was not the case with the very simple and bland script, visual effects that seemed very aged and the overall disappointing film.

I could have afforded to go on a tangent or two with the characters and story and defiantly needed to be slowed down.

It's defiantly not a film worth checking out.

Makes Me Wish I Was Born a Fighter

Now I'll not pretend like I knew much about the protagonist IP Man history and Origin even though I love Bruce Lee as much as the next guy. The story moved so well and the the character development flowed so well with it all, in fact everything flowed well. This isn't you're average Martial Arts film but a historical drama with really great fight choreography.

Everything flowed and developed through the film giving it a real sense of story, even the cinematography changed and developed which is rare in modern film. The acting was very nice, not blow you out of the water but nice and easy to watch, Donnie Yen carried the lead roll well and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great work enjoyed it quite a lot.
