Absolutely wonderful!! The best.
26 October 2023
A 10 plus!!!! I just found this version of Beauty and the Beast. It by far tops all of the other's . I have seen it three times. It is beautifully done. The story is wonderful along with the character's and actors and actresses. I loved the scenery and the flowers are just beautiful. Perfect, the show is perfect. I love it. I could have done a deeper review and critiqued it on a deeper level, but it is not needed. I could have done this review in one sentence, but IMDB requires us to write and write when we give a review. Of all of the Beauty and the Beast's movies, this mini series is the very best.

Very interesting
6 July 2023
I don't understand the reviewer's complaining. The show is not about the Zodiac Killer. We know that because.... if the Zodiac killer had been discovered, it would have been all over the news, not revealed in a TV show. The show would come "after" the reveal.

This show is about a man's search to discover why his father would abandon him on a stairwell when he was just a baby, despite being adopted by a wonderful and loving family. Gary's need to find out why, has become a psychological obsession. He is exhausted from years of searching for an answer that he has not been able to get. His pain is real and very heartbreaking. We go thru his journey of the evidence of his birth father's life and the need to build a bigger monster than the one who abandoned him. A need that might soothe his pain and allow him to finally move on, have a normal life and enjoy his wife and family. It is the only way he can do it. Gary's story of abandonment, loss and hurt is very sad, but I hope, now that he has discovered the truth, he will have some peace and rest and enjoy the life he has now.

Heartbreaking
4 July 2023
The loss of a child, in any way is devastating, but to not know what happened to your child, sister, relative, friend has no words. As Stephen searches for his sister who went mysteriously missing when she was 15, we walk the same walk of hoping to discover what happened to her with him. Solving a crime takes a lot of time and energy and when it is this type of crime, it takes literally years, if it gets solved at all. The reviewers who complain about there being 4 episodes are not in it for the live filming that was done over a period of 7 years. Each part was necessary. The story and the family become real with this type of documentary. The filming is excellent, the editing perfect and the heartbreak is so hard that it leaves you totally engrossed. It is definitely one of the best documentaries I have seen in a while.

Aurora
14 June 2023
So, to start - Aurora is younger and while the actress that plays her is probably a good actress, she is not what I think of when I think of a young Aurora. Original Aurora was played, perfectly, by Candace Cameron. The original Aurora was bubbly and cute with a cute little voice and when she was exploring a crime she had emotions both in her face and her actions/reactions. I have the same to say about the rest of the cast. Sally was ok, and to anyone who decided to bring weight into a review, that was not a factor and advise was not necessary or needed. The actress was over the top for Sally. Arthur was tall and now as a young man is average height. Now, out of all of the actor's on this particular Aurora, he is the best. The story itself was mediocre. It was like everybody was pretending to like their characters. The person involved in the plot was no surprise and honestly all of the character's had figured it out. No surprises. I feel like Hallmark is trying to get back in with those of us who loved the original mysteries. Those actor's are gone. The mistake has been made. However, if they want to try again with young Aurora, they need to get one that reminds us of the original character who actually had emotions.

Interesting theory
14 June 2023
So, I just finished. What can be said about the plot. It is a good plot with a lot of interesting characters. The story moves around too many places , but gets it's footing back. I felt like they figured the last season out at the last minute. Graphics were fantastic. It definitely could have been shorter. The actors do an excellent job. Mick, Jared, Ben, Grace, Zeke and all of the other character's are all complicated roles that are played to the tee. The writing was equally excellent, until we got to the 4th season. The verbal communication with the viewer took on the preverbial Hollywood trash mouth. I was very disappointed when the writer's used cuss words as filler's instead of decent proverbs as they had in prior seasons. Season three started easing into this. It was totally out of the character's expressions. Now, let's move on to the music. Beautiful, again, until the 4th season when they stuck a song with beautiful soothing music, that had GD in it several times, as the main verse. Totally unacceptable and very disappointing, again, especially in this show because of the actual subject matter of forgiveness and what they we all being guided to do. All of the good acting and I could not give a high rating because of what was unnecessary trash. All because of bringing the show down to Hollywood levels, which are very low. Nice going writer's.

The Diplomat (II) (2023– )
1/10
Nope, just nope
20 April 2023
There are two series called "The Diplomat" this year.

1. This "The Diplomat" with Keri Russell is definitely nothing compared to 2. "The Diplomat" with Sophie Rundle.

The best thing about this one is Rufus Sewell.

In the second one the best thing about it is; ALL of the cast.

On this one - Keri Russell is clearly overacting. The writer's on this one did not take any initiative at decent dialogue, filling the show with swear words instead of any type of intelligent language. It is time for that to stop. It is distracting and interferes with whatever plot there is to be seen. Attempts at comedy are absolutely a failure.

I wanted to like it, as much as I did the other "The Diplomat", but there is absolutely nothing there.

Quirky fun
30 December 2022
After The Verdict is a quirky and fun Australian mystery. The investigation begins after the verdict is read. Like the British, the actor's portray their roles with amazing debt and to perfection. They are very believable. I love the protagonist played by Michelle Lim Davidson and all of the actors playing the jurors. Lincoln Younes has great one liner's. Each juror is unique. The characters are all so much fun and knee deep in the mystery of the death of a woman. From the victim's husband to the jurors, the police and the woman who was acquitted of the murder, the personalities are so much fun. I have totally enjoyed it. This is a light mystery that you watch when you want cozy and fun. I would love for it to continue with the same character's. They would be great detectives after a verdict is announced. Don't listen to anyone who gives it a bad rating. Watch past the first episode and judge for yourself. Lots to see each episode.

Was a 10
16 October 2022
Originally I gave this a 10. The actor's and writer's were excellent. However, in season 5 Paramount showed it's head and the writing has gone down hill. While the actor's are still great, the writing is now lazy with "f"words and other cuss words everywhere. While the first 4 seasons showed a tasteful show done without all of the explicit language could be a huge success, the 5 season destroyed has destroyed that concept. The actor's are still great, but the lazy writing is now all we get. What a shame a perfectly great show is now like the other trash we get on any given day. Way to go Paramount.

Absolutely perfect
8 September 2022
Absolutely my favorite crime series. It is just perfect. I cannot say enough about ShetLand! I love the character's, the scenery, the content and the crime stories with plenty of suspense. I love Jimmy Perez as the leader of the crime team. I love his heart for the victim(s) and his drive to catch the criminal(s) with an "I won't stop until I get you" attitude. The stories are very well developed, with just enough drama added to the crimes. Not overdone. I cannot imagine giving it less than a 10. It is a show that does exactly what it is suppose to do- entertain, and it is entertainment at it's best. Well done Shetland cast and crew, WELL done.

Elvis (2022)

Fantastic
18 August 2022
Simply fantastic! The story starts off the way Baz saw it. He did a wonderful job. It is hard to play such an iconic man and Austin Butler does a great job. It was great to hear Elvis and when he needed to, Austin did a great job lip syncing. It was also amazing of Baz to put Elvis in a lot of the scenes. A glimpse here a glimpse there. What a treat. There is so much to Elvis and his life, there would never be enough time to cover all of it. What they covered was so well done. As a die hard Elvis fan, I felt this movie was supremely done. That says a lot because I am very careful with anything about Elvis. The only actors I have liked so far are Kirt Russell and Dale Midcalf. Both of their movies were great. I happily include this one to my short list of movies and actors that achieve success with Elvis entertainment. Simply fantastic!

Continuing the story
15 August 2022
Gabriel's Rapture:Part Three continues where Gabriel's Rapture:Part II left off. All of the wonderful character's area back, but this one centers strictly on our main character's. There aren't any big turns, just two people in love finding each other again and fixing misunderstandings and explanations from the demands and problems caused by other's. The content is straight forward, but keeps us wanting to see the final scene. We are not disappointed. A beautiful love story. It makes me want to start all over and relive the journey of Gabriel and Julia.

Very good
6 August 2022
I haven't seen The Flowers in the Attic series yet, so when this came out I decided to start with it. It is riveting. There are so many fingers in this movie, that it keeps you looking around the corner for the next "surprise". The actors do an amazing and hauntingly convincing job as their character's continue to grown and change. Throughly enjoyed this series.

Heartbreaking
29 July 2022
This is such a heartbreaking subject. I am not sure why some reviews are so low; the film tells a sad, but wonderfully done and extremely well acted story. Brett Cullen is such an underrated actor. I love that his amazing skills shine in this film. He, along with the cast and directors, has shown the world an honest portrait of a life and the lives around that life, how this horrible disease destroys everyone. I would give it more than 10, if I could.

My review is for Johnny Depp. As his fan he is the only reason. Will not watch JK Rolling any more due to sheer guilty verdict until prove innocent attitude on Johnny.

The Outfit is slow at first as it sets up the story. Soon it changes. It becomes a totally different movie than it starts out. The turns are great and the ending even better. Loved it.

Fantastic Romantic
18 May 2022
The trolls are out. These movies are wonderful. The acting and directing are wonderful. Each one is a continuation of the prior film. It envelopes you into the main characters story and you can't stop watching. Very romantic.

All of the movies area wonderful. Love them
10 April 2022
There are a lot of TROLLS on this site giving bad reviews. These movies are wonderful . You have to start with the first. It is slow at first, but then the story kicks in. You are hooked. The second movie enhances the first and the third peaks at a place where there is no turning back. It envelopes you. There are two more : Gabriel's Rapture:1 and Gabriel's Rapture:2. I am in no hurry to finish these movies and cannot wait for Rapture 3. The actor's are fantastic. The directing amazing.

Ok
9 April 2020
It's ok. Not like Downton. Not a lot of depth and there isn't much development of characters. This is probably due to the fact that there are only a few episodes. If they have a season 2, maybe that will improve.

Sanditon is a great period show. The actors are wonderful in their roles. The chemistry and facial expressions between the two lead actors are priceless. This is a series to be seen over and over and you will find something you missed. It just begs for more. Season 2 come on!

Great
22 September 2019
Loved it. It is a two hour movie with a huge cast. It wasn't like watching the series where each season has 6+ shows. It was fabulous for such a undertaking. It would be fantastic if another is made.
