The parents should bring her to police at the very first moment. All catastrophes happen because the parents really weak, stupid, and too spoiling her. The movie itself is good, I wanted to give it 7 stars, but because of that spoiled girl's character, and because of the terrible ending for Sam (father of the missing girl), I decided to give 1 star only. Sorry ....

Maybe it's just me, when I watched Emelie I feel like I'm watching thriller movies from 70s-80s... I don't know, like the feel, the music, the story line, the cinematography. (Don't get me wrong, I don't mean 70s-80s are bad, I just feel nostalgic). Also, Emelie's face and character reminded me to Esther from Orphan (2009) too.
Overall, I really like this movie, only I was so disappointed with the ending..., WHY they made the ending like that? I was gonna gave this movie 8 stars, but because of the ending I gave it 6.

This movie is so intense, from the moment the girls got into the cage till the end. There's no boring part. The actings are good, the sharks and the sets look really real--gave me the chill.
And, while you're watching this movie, please don't really think about the diving rules (if you're an experienced/expert diver), or the shark behavior (if you're a shark expert)... You'll ruined the fun, just watch and enjoy it!

Actually I wanted to gave 8 stars, but the ending made it 6, because (SPOILER) it turned out this 2nd movie is so much alike to "The Den (2013)". The bad guys are some psychopaths syndicate who hacked into their victims webcam, and their members spread everywhere (can be anyone on streets, train station, police dept., even overseas) so they can control all the situations, and they got it all recorded, just like what happened in The Den. I feel like I didn't get something new after watched the ending.

I watched Unleashed on cable channel, I din't really hope much at the beginning but later I found it surprisingly good. This type of story (animals turned human) is usually made for kids movie, but this one is for adult audience, you'll find Unleashed a unique movie, different from the usual romantic-comedy movies. The story is simple, but very funny, sweet, and give you good feelling. The actors performances are really good, and the soundtrack is nice too, I love when they played All My Little Words song twice.

If you compare AVP Requiem to the former Aliens and Predators movies, yes, this movie is behind them. This movie is like an (expensive) B movie. Beside, AVP Requiem doesn't take place in giant futuristic spaceship or underground secret temple, but only in a simple small town neighborhood. This thing make this movie has different feel and atmosphere from its former movies. I found AVP Requiem is more similar to old-school monster movies like Tremor, Arachnophobia, Python, Ghostbusters, and Night of Living Dead. I think because of this "disconnection", many people (especially Aliens and Predators fans) very disappointed and decided to give a very low rating. Yes, I can understand that, BUT, if you're not comparing this movie with its former, AVP Requiem actually is a very good B movie. This movie is so exciting, the effects are good, the actings are okay, the quality is not crappy, so enjoyable to watch, so deserve more than just 4,7 stars.
If you haven't watch it yet, I say give it a chance first, maybe you'll turn out to love it!

"Someone's Watching Me (1978)" rip off

I watched this movie because I wanted to see Shannen Doherty, but when I saw it, I found this movie is very similar with "Someone's Watching Me (1978)", almost exactly the same, I already knew what's gonna happen next and next..., so I really disappointed, I didn't get any thrills at all. I don't know if this movie is an official remake or not, but if it's not, then this is a total rip-off. There's only two differences that makes this movie different from "Someone Watching Me (1978)", first, this movie is happened in modern time, so the stalker uses hidden camera now (not just sound transmission device), and oh, the stalking is done by different character, that's the only (small) thing that made me surprised at the end of movie.
Actually because of that, I wanted to give this movie a 1 star, but since I'm Shannen Doherty fans I decide to give 5 stars (yes I know I have pretty shallow reason to rate, but there it is).

I bought the DVD many years ago, but I just watched it today, and this is my thought about this movie.
This movie is a good quality beautiful drama that will gives you a good and nostalgic feeling. The shots are so cinematic, this movie makes you like you're reading a novel (as the matter of fact this movie is based on novel). And the background music is so beautiful, really fits with the story. And the other plus point is the actors are so good looking on those 50s style that make the scene more enjoyable to watch.
The acting quality of the actors are so amazing, no need to ask about the main actor Ryan Merriman because his acting performances are always amazing (but I don't know how his performance in his newer movies since the last time I saw him when he's in Final Destinantion 3 (2006)).

At the first half, the premise of the story is like about an orphan boy named Eddie (Ryan Merriman) who try to follow his father step to become a pilot. It will makes you think Eddie will train so hard to fly the plane while he also has to face the problem with his uncle (Stanley Tucci), his care taker family Margaret (Dana Delany) and her husband Ernesto (Ruben Blades), and the support from her pretty friend Francesca (Paula Garces), but no, it turned out it's not about that.
The last half the story change direction to about Eddie love story with Francesca, how they care each other, and then Francesca is raped by her father, the depression of Francesca, then her father committed suicide. Eddie seems forgetting his plane training and his head is full of Francesca. The story change direction from what they gave at the beginning. I mean yeah, love life of the main character will give a good flavor for the story, but not by changing the story line and the theme from family drama genre to romance genre. This made me disappointed. Just stick to one story premise.
But other than that, like I said at the beginning, this movie is a good quality beautiful drama that really really worth to watch, I really suggest you to watch this movie.

I watched this movie on VCD over 15 years ago, then I just re-watched it today and decided to give this very good movie a review.
At first I though this movie is about cowboys life (because Dennis Quaid is wearing cowboy hat on the cover and I didn't read the synopsis) and I never like cowboys movie, but after I tried to watch it for couple of minutes, hey, this is not cowboys movie, this is modern family drama which took set in the country area. This movie is a touching, heartwarming family drama with cinematic shots, it makes you feel like you're reading a novel. I love it! The story is very sad and touchy, some people might think it little bit too depressing, but the story will give you a motivation to you and your family to keep strong and face all the bad things that came/might come to your life. Just watch it.

I really love this movie! First I didn't hope too much on this movie since I got really disappointed on Annabelle (2014), but this movie turned out so good, above my expectation.
This movie is about a woman (Greta) who force herself to take a job as a nanny in a remote area because she really needs the money. It turns out the boy who she needs to handle is a creepy boy doll. The boy's parents act and treat him like he is a real human boy. It made Greta confuse at the beginning but the couple succeed convincing Greta to work with them, and with all those strange rules. Then, the parents go to vacation, leaving Greta alone in the mansion with that creepy doll, and strange things start to happens. Greta is not allowed to leave the mansion, she try not to scared and bored. Her only humans to speak are her sister on the phone and a handsome grocery delivery man who only comes once a week.
(Spoiler alert) In the earlier scenes, Greta heard sounds from behind the ceiling and walls, she thinks it's rats because Mr. Heelshire (the boy's father) told her before his vacation that there's many pests, especially rats in the mansion area. Then, it's occur to happen that Greta's belongings are lost or change place, I thought oh, it's that possessed boy doll who moves her belongings, just like other ghost movies, but when she heard a heavy foot steps every time she thinks the doll moves, I assumed maybe there's no boring ghost at all but a real human being who did those things, and it turned out yes, there's no ghost or supernatural things at all, the boy doll is just a simple ordinary doll, with the real killer guy is hiding behind their ceiling and walls for all the time! It's so creepy, and I love this kind of creepy.
This movie will give you a good mystery atmosphere, and some surprising scenes too. This movie is very similar with When a Stranger Calls (1979 and 2006), and some of Alfred Hitchcock's, and other psychological thrillers. If you like those kinds of movies, you will like The Boy too.

At first I think this 'first person camera' type movie will be so thrilling like its similar movies Paranormal Activity series or Quarantine, but I think the thrilling part in this movie are only two parts, first when Nana chasing them under the house when they're playing hide & seek, and second when she's sleepwalking at night, scratching doors..., the other parts are kinda boring.
Their Pop Pop btw, is so gross, he's pooping in diaper and collect all his poops in the shed, even actually, this thing makes me laughs when he puts his fresh poop on Tyler (the boy)'s face at the last part of movie, ha ha I don't know I found it so hilarious.. So gross, poor Tyler...
The plot twist is so predictable too, from the moment Becca (the girl) said they don't know how their grandparents faces look like, I can know the grandparents they meet are not their real grandparents, especially if you're recently watching "When a Stranger Calls" type movie that tells you about "the real dangerous person is living with you in the same house all the time since the beginning".

I love this film! I give 10/10! This film is suitable for all family members entertainment, but I think adults will love it more than kids, because of the story. There's a drama, comedy, sadness, loss, hopes, all in this film, completed sweet wonderful melodrama with a little fantasy scenes. The cinematography, the musics, and the acting of all actors are excellent, I can't forget it from my mind. Joseph Mazzello's acting is very incredible for a child actor, he made his character (Little Tom) so real with all those touching emotions. Also, Little Tom character reminds me of my childhood, that's why I love this film even more.
