The Fate of the Furious (2017)
Really?
Tired. Tired is the only word that comes to mind here. The filmmakers seem to have truly exhausted all the "realistic" action scenes they could come up with and have now jumped the shark.
This movie was ridiculous. I can't really think of any other words to describe it. If you're going into the theater expecting a comedy, you'll love it, but anything believable at all has been thrown out the window here. The window of a very fast moving, computer generated car.
Ewwwwww.

Shallow Water (2017)
The best of independent filmmaking
This new short film by Sandy Collora (Batman Dead End) is in a word; BRILLIANT. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and the tension built up in this horror/thriller is almost too much to take! I found myself doing all those things you normally shush people for in the theater! Don't do that! Don't go in there! I know Sandy and was fortunate enough to get a preview screening of this movie, which I personally think is his best work, hands down.
It looks incredible, SOUNDS even more incredible and the performance by lead actress Lisa Roumain is perfect. She made me believe she was really feeling all the emotions she went through in the film. The ending? One word; WOW. Just a wonderfully executed piece of work. Well done, Sandy. Very, very, VERY well done.

Behind the Mask: The Batman Dead End Story (2015)
Moving
I saw the Batman Dead End short when it came out but had no idea what was "Behind the Mask" of this movie and this man. This Docu is a sort of brutal look into what happens behind the scenes and what it takes to make a film. I admire Sandy Collora's honesty, artistic integrity and his talent. All things this movie clearly shows. I follow him on Facebook and his posts are always inspiring and thought provoking. he seems like a good guy. This was really good and very well made interesting Docu that I recommend a lot. It has a lot of heart and is a very moving portrait of an artist who seems to be misunderstood. I salute Sandy and his work and his decisions. He obviously cares about what he puts out there and on the screen and it shows. I hope all the projects he has developing at the end of this film are going to happen. I would go to see them.
