I am a big fan of Jessie B and had heard Mark K's review of this. Well not a 'typical' movie and thank goodness for that .
Great direction and some stunning cinematography with an unnerving tone.
The closing sequence will get all the attention perhaps rightly so. But the film pulled me in and contained a great deal of mystery and metaphor.
What starts with taking a bite of a forbidden apple ends with blood and carnage of the most unpredictable kind.
It won't be for everyone that's for sure. But I loved the silence and the soundtrack. Roy Kinnear also needs a medal for his performance. A grotesque exploration of pain anguish and self doubt that concludes with many questions but overall a movie that will last in the memory.
