Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
An un-animated cartoon of a movie
Nearly every scene has you saying, "oh come on... Yea, right... Well that's convenient... That would never... Is this the they could do?...ect.
Along with the laziest writing and forced fan service I think I've ever seen in a movie.
Phoebe Walter... (who care's) is obnoxiously over confident and annoying. Whoever cast her must of been responsible for casting Shia LaBuff in the last stinker.
The action compared to the first 3 great movies is so heavily cgi and unbelievably impossible it makes sticking to the end like undergoing a root canal without anistesia.
Other than these observations, this was obviously the best movie ever made and they deserve all the Oscar awards... EVER.
GOD this movie sucked.
Let the Right One In: Monster (2022)
Getting better and better
This episode really kicked it up a notch. Finally rewarding and picking up the pace. We got a peak at what she's capable of and at last start to move all the characters and story together.
The pace of this show is surprisingly slow in this age of little attention span, A. D. D television. But it's so well acted and written it's worth the ride. That is if we continue to reward the faithful viewer as they did tonight.
This show better get renewed for season 2. It's getting close to must watch.
One concern or future complaint though. If they find the Doctor's little brother has no idea who bit him isn't just a complete dead end. Maybe the one who turned him doesn't know who bit him lol... and so on and so on. Would think if there's an OG creator vamp they would of at least introduced him by this point. Well, season finale to go so we'll see.
9 out of 10 tonight.
The Walking Dead: Walk with Us (2020)
An unexpected "HELL YEA" moment
You get towards the end and think it's just another decent episode and then...
Glad to see the shows return to greatness.
Homeland: Two Minutes (2020)
Another good episode though...
Don't ALL flight recorders have recovery beacon/signal? Just as if the helicopter crashed in the middle of the ocean, I think they'd be tracking the location and would already found it and Max. Kinda lazy and convenient writing.
Homeland: Chalk Two Down (2020)
Very suspenseful but very unrealistic
Edge of your seat and one of the more entertaining episodes of the series but pretty ridiculous suspension of disbelief.
As others have stated:
-Small infantry unit at the outpost are portrayed as completely undisciplined and unskilled amateurs.
-President would NEVER, NEVER travel in just 2 unescorted Blackhawks without drones, Apache's, large Special Forces quick reaction force nearby,...ect. A scenario the writers should know is an impossible bridge to far.
-Apache's or a C-130, just like the drone they're getting footage from could and would give those trapped air support. It would be danger close fire but they would easily pick off the enemy fighters. Just watch the dozens of YouTube videos of Apache's engaging with their FLIR optics. (Bad guys can't hide, even in tree line).
-The Vice President being so weak and indecisive was a little much. Come on. No one that makes it to that position is that ill prepared and shakey. All common sense stuff.
Castle Rock: Let the River Run (2019)
Give Lizzy Caplan the Emmy already
Great first episode of this new season. The cast is superb and the aforementioned Lizzy is "crazy" awesome. Much easier to follow and better episode to episode pay off than the first season.
Fear the Walking Dead: MM 54 (2018)
Season went from really good to now have to HATE watch
This was one one the worst episodes if tv I think I've ever watched. How anyone could watch this season's first couple episodes, (amazing) and then this weeks, (hair-pulling stupidity). I mean, come on! Its insulting.
Most of these other reviews summed up the worst...but here's a few more.
--Woman had a freaking rake. Why the hell is she using her hands to bury her husband? Oh...cause has to be a reason she's the dirty bag lady. Right.
--The grown idiot's she SOMEHOW overtakes just throw their hands up, clutch their pearl's and basically let themselves get eaten. Really? For god's sake, pull that slow motion zombie off and brake grandma's hip.
--The swat truck can only fire from one angle and basically when it's perpendicular to you. Move out of the way morons! Would it be so hard to maneuver around and defeat.
--When they shoot her in the chest with no less than a SHOTGUN. Like it's the 3 stooges or Shawn of the dead they all turn their backs and start monologues about beer yeast and the Kardashians rather than rush her, find the gun she just dropped, and finish her off like sanity and rational still exist in a writer's room. P.s, you can't get shot in the lung with a shotgun and walk away like it's a inconvenience. How stupid do they think the audience is.
--Then we have the after school special segment... Big sis and my brother's murderer. Can't stand the monotone, pissy attitude and lame 'Promise you a beach sweetie' nonsense. Think it's past time to kill off the JV original actors and continue to bring in people worth watching.
--Speaking of that, why are they killing off the awesome actor who just came off 12 Monkeys on SyFy. He's way too talented to flush away so early. Just like the other new fantastic actors this season, he needed to stay.
...prob 10 more gripes, but who cares. Apparantly the writers and more importantly the producers and network don't care either.
Oh, and the seal-clapping Talking Dead sycophant treatment where EVERYTHING they do in EVERY episode is pure magic is cosmically annoying as well.
Other than these few words, I have no opinions lol.
