The Santa Clause (1994)
Obvious logical flaws
I don't mind this movie at all. It has it's charm. It was created before I started finding Tim Allen kind of pathetic. It doesn't do anyone any harm. I even went and saw it in theatres when it opened. I also am a big fan of Christmas, so I love Christmas movies even corny ones.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I will explain what I mean buy logical flaw. This may have been talked about before but I will say it again at any rate. The Stepdad of Tim Allen's son tries to convince him that there is no Santa. The mom also does not believe in Santa. This is all fine and dandy in our world, where Santa doesn't exist. It doesn't work, however, in a world like theirs, where there is a Santa. I mean where do the Stepdad and the Mom think that the presents come from. They must believe that a person just sneaks into the house and leaves things, out of the goodness of his heart but isn't Santa Claus.
I'm sorry if I'm over-analyzing it but it has just always annoyed me.
RocketMan (1997)
Just ridiculous
I was so appalled by the stupidity of this movie that I have lost respect for people who say they enjoyed it. Not only have I lost respect for them, it has also hurt, even ended our relationships. I really don't understand what is funny about this movie to people. Could some one explain it to me?
Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy comedies that are "so stupid they are funny." It is a fine line between that and what this movie is, which is "so stupid it is stupid." I can't sit there and laugh at something that is insulting my intelligence. Remember people, once a brain cell is lost, it doesn't come back: Don't waste yours on this movie!
