We All Saw That Coming
27 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILERS* Blake, a minor character with no storyline, shows up a few episodes ago. There must be a story arc somewhere. Yep, Maggie is considering IVF (to get pregnant). Blake puts Maggie as her emergency contact and names her a guardian. Blake gets sick and needs surgery. And you can predict the rest. This makes it easy for writers because now Maggie has a child without having to get pregnant and miss out on all the action in future episodes.

Nobody in the Green Solutions office died or got sick from the gas that, as you can see, was all over the place. Also, none of the FBI agents thought about wearing masks, knowing that the poisonous gas is the villain's weapon.

Overall, still an entertaining episode.

My Thoughts About the Series
31 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Here are my thoughts about Seasons 1-3 (may include spoilers):

Layton - there aren't many tv shows where the lead character is the least interesting one. Almost no character development since the first episode. The most interesting thing about hun about a concussion. He's too idealistic. I was sick of his "This is it. This is what we are fighting for" leadership.

Melanie - was it just me or were we constantly looking at her facial profile? She has a beautiful profile but she was always looking away from the camera. It's kinda strange.

Ruth - the best character on the show. I wish her scene with Winnie was stronger with more remorse and more tears (because of Suzanne).

Josie - she is a badass. Such a warrior. The actress was blessed with good material from the writers.

Mr. Wilford - the casted him so well. The perfect balance of evil and charisma.

LJ and Osweiller added no value to the series or plot yet they were there.

Pike - he should have been the main lead

Miss Audrey - what the heck did the writers do to her? She was sensational in season 1 and then became what she was in season 2 onwards.

Sykes and Kevin were fun characters. More interesting than Layton.

Season 1 was the best. I was fascinating with all the classes and how Melanie tried to keep the order. Season 2 was okay with the struggle of power. In Season 3, I already lost interest but kept watching to see where this is all going.

Low IQ Entertainment
26 December 2023
If you like cheesy dialogue, boobs, pee pees, good guys chasing bad guys, fighting, and camels then this show is for you. I find it funny that this squad is considered "the best of the best of the best" but they are in fact the silliest and most unreliable ensemble one could put together to take down deadly terrorists. The sniper missed the target and hits an innocent person because she's high, the pilot is constantly distracted and crashes the helicopter, and the strong guy can't function when he's hungry (relatable though). I'm used to watching crime dramas on TV where the protagonist exhibit good conduct and don't do drugs. These guys don't. Overall, it's still a pretty entertaining show if you don't take it too seriously.

I Love the Muncy Character
21 May 2023
The episodes this season has the classic Law & Order SVU feel that we got in the earlier seasons, and I love that! Muncy is a fantastic character. Her New York accent and 90's style acting takes the series back to the good ol' times. I think they are heading in the right direction with this.

This episode puts the spotlight on Muncy. The writers gave her a lot of material to work with. She's finally working well with Churlish, who I don't mind being promoted to main cast at some point. (Whatever happened to Bruno?)

The final scene with Elliot was very nice.

Anyway, kudos to those who made this show better now. I didn't really enjoy Season 20 onwards but this season is great.

I hate it here
30 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What's the point of all this character development and deep, long-winded conversations between characters when they are all just going to die just like that? We saw this in the third episode of season one when 3 of the 4 main (!!!) characters all died in one game. After that, I became hesitant to root for any character because I fear that they will die eventually. And the way some of my favorite characters died was absolutely ludicrous. They got this far by winning the most difficult games just to jump around this guy who is loaded with weapons? Also, it's hilarious that the main characters were able to dodge all the bullets every time the King of Spades show up but most of them ended up dying in the alley scene, which is by far one of the dumbest fighting scene I have ever witnessed on television. I don't even want to watch the finale anymore. I have no one left to root for. And I no longer have the energy to meet new characters.

Great Episode
28 September 2022
No politics. Just pure action. However, nothing groundbreaking though because I felt like this cop-as-parametric act has been done before... oh right, Jubal went in as a doctor one time in a previous episode and the bad guy ended up in the same fate.

I feel like the FBI and L&O franchises are recycling a lot of the same plots: bombs, hostages, etc. Anyway, I still enjoyed this episode.

Nina really contributes well to the show. It was a good idea to bring her back to make her a main cast member. I'm glad they are giving her some decent screen time. I hope Nina gets to stay on the show when Maggie returns.

Thought I was Watching James Bond
27 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The foreign country, the bad guys, the car chase, the attractive female sidekick... it felt like I was watching a James Bond movie. I felt bad that the other lead and supporting actors took the backseat in the season finale; only Forrester was doing all the work. And I was so annoyed and done with his mother who kept saying "I gotta go" and hangs up on him. Finally, I am bummed out that Jaegar is leaving the show. She was my favorite character.

Season 5 is Lit

Maybe they are actually listening to their fans because this season is the best of the series so far: action, romance, friendship, family, and plenty of heart-racing moments. And a bit less politics without ignoring the important topics that are relevant today.

Excellent episode. I really like the IT guy, Whitlock, and wish he's in more episodes. It would be good to have a someone like him to complement the team. What happened to that medic lady? All these random recurring characters.

Good Episode

Warning: Spoilers
So all along Hicks could have done something to get Hondo back but instead we had to endure several episodes of the insufferable Sanchez? Was this arc created to make viewers to miss and love Hondo more? Probably not, because Hondo is a great character, but it did make me miss him as 20-David.

Best Episode in a Weak Season
14 June 2022
After a string of bad episodes, this one is very good. I loved the dialogue between Hondo and Nichelle. Good writing.

They killed off one of my favorite characters which sucks. But I hope they're not going to spend the rest of the season grieving. We still want to see them catching bad guys.

Terrible Episode
14 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The episode begins with a long, over budget chase. They catch the bad guy and they realize there's more of them. No plot. The private school scenes were more enjoyable than the main story. And they kill off the nicest character in the series.

Amazing Acting
23 May 2022
SVU haven't been nominated for Emmy Awards in recent years but Jordan Shiro should get one for guest actress in a drama. The court scene was so powerful and I was ugly crying. Fantastic finale. Looking forward to the next season.

Fantastic Episode
21 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Street has feelings for Chris and you can tell he really cares for her. What a sweetie. Great acting by Shemar Moore especially in the final scene. Hicks has become my favorite character; he's tough but shows compassion to his team. We didn't see a lot of that in season 1. Every character adds value to the show. I hope they give Luca and Tan more material because the writers are making them one dimensional.

LGBT Episode
19 April 2022
I identify as LGBT and this has got to be the worst episode of the season. The other reviews here says it all. Furthermore, poor Deac is constantly battling health scares in the family (him, his wife, his daughter). And Street's mother is out of control. She wasn't even in this episode (only mentioned) and she still drove me crazy. My point is, they aren't making the show entertaining. The only good thing to come out of this show is, surprisingly, Hick's character development. He's becoming one of my favorite characters.

I like Stephanie, the 80's prom ghost. Props to Sam for being a class act and throwing her a prom, even after being pranked. Would be hilarious if Stephanie appears once every season as she only wakes up once a year.

I can see why this is one of their highest rated episodes, if not the highest. It was so hard to watch and I ugly-cried. It was also a treat to see flashbacks of Buck in action.

I watch SWAT for the action and enjoy them catching bag guys (or girls in this episode). Not interested in love stories. Heck, I get bored of Hondo's family matters, frustrated with Street's annoying mother, etc.

Hunger Games but less entertaining
10 April 2022
I was never in the army and I don't hike but I feel like I have better survival skills than these guys. They were hiding from the bad guys yet they were screaming at each other. Hondo was injuries yet he felt the need to do backflips and cartwheels in the forest. They have the same self-preservation abilities as the zombies in World War Z. I know this show doesn't care about being realistic but at least make it entertaining.

Cringe acting abs cheesy writing. Action and special effects were good. Felt like I was watching a Marvel or YA dystopia movie. Luckily, the newer episodes are so much better and more wholesome.

Is there a writers strike?
13 March 2022
Zoë Kravitz played all her roles well but she was given crappy material to work with. Jokes were flat and repetitive ("momh*le, disappearing cat) and I only laughed out loud a couple of times.

No Wheatley
12 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Dylan McDermott is a fantastic actor but I'm so done with Wheatley and his entire family. This season was turning into a cat and mouse chase. Glad we're on to a new bad boss. However, given that Wheatley likely isn't dead, I have a feeling this isn't the end of him.

Exhausting
7 March 2022
The whole season consists of Stabler chasing down Wheatley but he is always a few steps ahead. When Stabler gets close, Wheatley finds leverage in different ways to slither out of Stabler's grip, and the cycle continues. I don't know about other viewers, but this is getting exhausting for me.

Decent Finale
4 February 2022
Why do American television and films always show scenes in Mexico with orange hue? It seems so unoriginal to use warm tones to help the audience "feel" the desert heat. Anyway, decent finale of a weak season.
