The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
This one is probably my favorite
Just when I thought the first in the Series had me hooked, they go and make New Moon. Although there is not as much of Edward in this movie, the second of the five, this one started to tell the story and develop the key characters in greater depth. When Edward leaves her, Bella's world completely falls apart. My heart broke for her, I felt the holes in her chest right along with her. And, to try and make Jacob fill the void - well, there was just no way this wet behind the ears kid (aka werewolf) was going to match the intrigue, beauty and passion of Edward. It was nice of Bella to give Jacob a sliver of a chance though. I was elated when Edward tried to expose himself to the humans because that was the only way Bella could save him, and save herself. Many of the other characters in this move kind of started to play second fiddle, as the characters of Edward and Bella really stepped forward, which started the dominated of the balance of the series.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
This would be my least favorite of the Series
And, in saying that, I still loved the movie, it is just my least favorite of the five. I thought Bella was different in this movie for some reason. She looked different, she acted different - there was just something "off" about her. Maybe she was directed that way on purpose, but Bella was just not the same "Bella" of the previous two movies. I didn't care for the character of Reilly. I think he would have been better played as an innocent (instead of the really angry portrayal of his character). I personally didn't care for Leah either. Again, she was just too "angry." I mean, hating the Cullen's is one thing, but it's almost as if because she lost Sam to Emily, she hated life all together. She was, after all, Seth's sister, and he was just such a sweetheart. Jacob beefed up for this movie for sure, and I liked him a little better. He didn't take Edward's place in my heart whatsoever, I always have been and will forever remain: Team Cullen!
The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (2015)
I love this Series!
Superb Series! It comes on too late for me to stay up and watch, so I record it and watch it the next evening. And, I plan to watch them over and over again. I love this Series, and unlike a few others, I love the Soundtrack. The music makes it fresher (more today). My only complaint (and hence the 9 stars instead of 10) is the camera jerking. It is done way too often for me. Hopefully this is not a one-season Series because I am so sick of reality TV I could scream. The cast, for the most part, is pretty terrific. As far as blood and gore, well - the Series is called The Lizzie Borden Chronicles after all. I had no prior knowledge of the Lizzie Borden case, so am not biased as to fact or otherwise, and just truly find this Series a much needed breath of fresh air for TV viewers. Please watch and help keep this Series on for years to come!
Twilight (2008)
I love it - love it - love it
I can't begin to tell you why I love the Twilight Saga Series so much. Because it appeals to a younger genre, it took me a while to get interested. But, once I did - I was hooked almost immediately. I have all the DVDs and almost all the Sound Tracks and Scores. Carter Burwell is amazing! Anyhow, having lived in Seattle for nearly 9 years probably swayed me just a bit. I can't say there is tremendous acting, but there is enough here and there that you start to form a "relationship" with the characters. I am probably an oddball, but I like Kristen Stewart, and have watched her in several films. I kind of wish they had cast her in Hunger Games, but that's just me. I have watched all 5 Twilight's now probably close to 100 times, and each time I try to find something to hate about it so that I'll stop this infatuation, but I just cannot. Call me old-fashioned, but there is just something about a good love story that gets me every time, and for the story to include a gawky, awkward little girl falling in love with a suave and gorgeous vampire - well, you got me! You can have the werewolves, just don;t find Taylor Lautner all that hot.
