It (2017)
Not sure what this movie is trying to be...
This movie was weird and confusing. It didn't feel like a horror but it had too much gore and violence to be a kid's movie.
It wasn't scary and didn't have much tension just unnecessary gore and a few jump scares.
Basically a story for kids presented in a way that is not suitable for kids...
Not really sure why is it so popular.
The Pyramid (2014)
The most terrible movie I've ever seen
I got so surprised seeing some good rating. I feel those people didn't watch the same movie as I did. So first of all it supposed to be a horror - except it was not scary at all. The whole cinema was laughing out hard on most of the scenes that meant to be creepy.
The actors are terrible, everything is super fake like some random people who have nothing to do with movies making a super low cost home video.
My favourite scene was when "SPOILER?" one of the girl died got stuck on a huge spike thing...and then the others were like oh no let's get her from it, oh no wait it's not good it's hard LET'S PUT HER BACK! - Oops she's dead...seriously? "SPOILER" ended...
It's a lost footage movie but here it means half of the movie is just a dark screen. Oh and even when almost everyone is gone there's still someone holding and shaking that camera that they've already lost.
This movie is a joke it was the first time I wanted to get out from the room and ask back my money but I stayed to laugh. Half of the people in the cinema really left. Worst horror and worst movie in general like ever.
Poltergeist (2015)
Not a bad movie if you don't expect too much...
So first of all I didn't see the original one and I'm not that kind of person who can watch any horror saying oh it was nothing, I didn't get scared. But now I really have to say that the most of the movie was not scary at all.
Instead of making long mysterious moments when you are starting to cover your eyes because you know that something really creepy will happen they just made big fancy moments. And no I'm not talking about jump scares even those jump scares had no effect. They were trying to make long scary moments too but it just failed (except only one scene). It was more about big fancy overdone scenes. Which is OK but not in a horror movie. So for me it was more like a kind of fantasy-scifi stuff, not a horror.
The whole atmosphere of the movie was not what you expect from a good horror. Most of the times it was not creepy, not dark and the actors didn't really feel what is happening also it made some very unrealistic moments, sometimes I felt I'm in a comedy.
Just the whole movie didn't take it seriously what happened...usually when a family finds out that something is not OK with their house or if something weird is happening to their kid they panic a bit more... (The little boy made the best, most realistic job at acting btw...)
So after all for me it failed as a horror. BUT I still gave 7 stars because if I'm looking at it as a not too serious fantasy thing then it was quite entertaining. Not what I expected, but not bad.
