It felt like it was going somewhere...
18 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
...Then it just fizzled out badly. Very, very badly. Trey and Matt are too focused on reproducing the stupidity of the nowadays society climate, but without adding any real valid commentary or even funny jokes. It feels lazy and cheap all the damn time.

St. Patrick design was spot-on on the Monty Python style, but overall it was another cheap attempt at a joke by just mocking the saint's memory. It was disgusting. I'm no stranger to South Park mocking religions, but they were hysterically funny in the past and reasonable in their commentary. Now they're just gratuitously offensive without a real punch line or a good reason.

Just re-watch "Red Hot Catholic Love" from 6th season for a very hard laugh or the duo "Do The Handicapped Go To Hell? / Probably" from 4th season for even more laughs.

It's sad to see the show dying like this, but hey it's 25 seasons already. It had to feel tired and unfunny at some point. The 4/10 rating is mainly because Butters: he still is one of the last funny characters in the show. Shame he got such a crappy material to star.

Improvement over the March special
27 November 2021
It's an improvement and the episode feels fresh after so many years of stale episodes (at least since PC Principal took over the school). It was ok, not so many jokes (which is kinda of a joke in itself), but a decent story backing everything up. Cartman looks weird, not like one would expect him to look - he's still funny though, in a strange way.

All in all, the episode feels bittersweet, but in a good way. Makes you feel nostalgic about the old, hysterically funny episodes, while presenting some sort of a soft reboot for the series. It gets a 7/10 because so far it still feels under developed, but definitely there's hope for an interesting future for the show - instead of becoming a pathetic parody of itself like Simpsons and Family Guy.

Mediocre at the best
21 May 2019
It's a middle of the road episode with jokes falling flat almost all the time, but at least they're not trying to be woke all the time here. Though it feels more like someone trying to emulate Simpsons rather than a real episode from the show.

Meh, but there's an interesting thing
18 May 2019
This episode is from those limbo years of Simpsons: hardly any good, but yet not as terrible as the stuff from mid-2000s to now. There's one very interesting thing though: the MAD headquarters is destroyed around the end of the episode. If you didn't know, you could swear it's a joke about 9/11. I thought that when I first watched this episode around 2003.

Amazing how well they can predict the future sometimes.

Woke crap
5 May 2019
Grandpa Simpson was once shown as a woman after mixing up some medicine, long way back in the heyday of the series. It was hysterical. Specially when he flirted with Jasper.

This thing, on the other, is just the same woke agenda that's been killing once upon a time funny shows. Plus, it's also quite disrespectful with WW2 veterans.

Down in the drain
5 May 2019
If the show was circling the drain ever since 30th season started... Well, let's be honest, the show has been circling the drain since the Armin Tanzarian episode, over 20 years ago.

Anyhow, 30th season has been especially terrible, completely focused on pampering leftists with flat jokes that fail to land every single time. Simpsons has always been leaning to liberal side, but it was hard to find an episode where at least one good joke didn't landed. 30th season changed that: almost every episode so far was devoid of laughs. The only exception was the mildly funny episode with J.K. Simmons.

All the other episodes were Lisa heavy overflowing with leftist propaganda disguised as bad jokes or "satire". This episode in particular was really bad, with a history so muddled and confusing, that you can swear from the couch gag that's actually a rerun. Even with a Mt. Spashmore joke from the old days that, incredibly, failed hard to land.

Thanks for reading my rant, and I want to let you know - if you care about - that The Simpsons are dead for me. They died an awfully slow death since "You Only Move Twice" (definitely the last good classic Simpsons' episode), but alas, it's over now. I'd rather not waste my time anymore with it. Or just watch one of the classic first 9 seasons episodes. They're still golden and among some of the best TV shows ever made.

It jumped the shark...
29 March 2019
Simpsons heyday is long gone and we can probably point several episodes where it jumped the shark. There wasn't an specific episode: Maude's death maybe? Perhaps anything past season 9? That was before.

We can now point exactly where Simpsons jumped the proverbial shark: Season 30, episode 18. Pure infamy: first episode where not even a single joke landed.

Ergh... It's atrocious
13 March 2019
This gotta be the worst series I've ever saw. You're better off watching a pornographic movie instead of this pretentious leftist BS. It's cringe worthy from beginning to end and if you make thru the pilot, you're a hero. Or completely void and dead inside.

So bad that's actually good

I do recommend watching this movie with an open mind and not expecting anything but silly fun. It's a guilty pleasure kind of movie.

The score don't reflect the first two seasons
26 December 2018
The first two seasons are pretty good, even if a bit too much like a soap opera in the 2nd season. The first is truly good.

From 3rd season, things turn into a Emmanuelle porn flick with nothing really interesting. Way too much naked people, way too little interesting things story wise.

Put Sheldon Cooper on a chair, turn on the cam and have him tell stories of his early days instead. That would be a lot funnier.
