Westworld: Que Será, Será (2022)
More of a setup than an exiting finale
Title says it all. The rest of the season's mystery was exciting but this felt more like a setup episode for next season rather than a finale for this one.
There wasn't a spectacular fight or end sequence imo.
Better Call Saul: Plan and Execution (2022)
Fantastic episode through and through
The episode was phenomenal between the acting (Patrick fabian realized he was duped and then confronting Jimmy and Kim), plot progression, execution of the plan and revealing how it worked, and the shocking ending. So pumped for the second half!
The Umbrella Academy: The Seven Stages (2020)
Great build- really tense episode
While the earlier season was more about setting the plot lines in motion, this episode really turns the hear up. Very exciting.
The Last Kingdom: Episode #3.10 (2018)
Great ending!
Was surprised Thyra died. The last fight was alright but nothing earthshattering. I'm glad brida and uhtred got revenge for ragnar's death. I was almost expecting aethelwold to continue as an antagonist sort of like Littlefinger in game of thrones but his death is fitting.
The Last Kingdom: Episode #3.4 (2018)
Very shocking. Love the politics and scheming
I didn't expect aethelwold to actually go through with killing Ragnar. Love the scheming and constantly shifting power.
The Last Kingdom: Episode #3.2 (2018)
Politics keep heating up- excited for what's next
Uhtred seems to have finally broken from Aldred which makes for some great drama. Love to see the scheming by all the main characters about what to do when Aldred dies and now that Uhtred is no longer his sword.
Ozark: One Way Out (2018)
Solid episode with good twist
Mason's downward spiral comes to a tragic end. It's almost poetic how Marty is forced to kill to stop him, when Marty is the one primarily responsible for sending him off the deep end in the first place. The voiceover of Wendy over the shots of them taking and cremating the body was especially haunting or impactful. Will be interesting to see what happens with Zeke and the family
Fortnite (2017)
The most addicting and skill-based game I have ever played
The ironic part is the part that people hate on the most (building) is the part that keeps me and other competitive players hooked. The months of muscle memory required to stay in the same skill level as other players is a constant struggle for improvement and keeps me throughly addicted.
I haven't played a game where you need to practice something like building and editing to get the upper hand and dominate.
Also- The game handles free to play in the best way I've seen. Cosmetics ONLY with no competitive advantage and Epic still rakes in money from it. No loot boxes or BS. Epic has done it the best folks.
A lot of people jumped on the hate Fortnite bandwagon like Nickelback or whatever because they see it is free and that kids like it. Well guess what- I'm 25 and play it daily. The weekly updates keep it fresh. New items and weapons every week too. Please play it before making an opinion
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
An ending that people will come around to
This episode was not as bad as people make it out to be and those rating it low are just annoyed with how it turned out.
Despite some wishy washy writing the rest of the season I think this episode was starkly (pun intended?) different. The pacing was great and they covered a lot of ground in its duration. Some of the camera shots were amazing and the dialogue was fine.
Unlike previous episodes it was much more realistic overall and had less hollywood cliches. Bran ruling was pretty weird but the more I think about it the more I like how they will "break the wheel" and choose their own leaders.
Jon never wanted to rule and gets to help rebuild the night's watch and help the freefolk repopulate beyond the wall. Arya and Sansa had great endings.
I can fault small things like how Tyrion proposed Bran to lead but not a single other person disagreed or offered alternatives. But overall it was a great way to wrap the series off considering what we had going into this episode plot-wise and the time we had
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Wow. This is the stuff that will live on
What an incredible episode and fight sequence. It breaks the record for the longest cinematic battle sequence (previously held by LotR The Two Towers).
Overall, the episode was everything us fans could ask for and no, not everyone had plot armor which is much more realistic.
I am pretty shocked they dealt with the living vs dead fight with 3 episodes to go but it should be quite a finale. I don't see Cersei having the same WOW factor of a fight but maybe it is just about who sits on the throne at the end. Plus, looks like Dany's forces have dwindled, so maybe it's a fair fight
Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2019)
Not a filler, a very rich episode
Everyone rating this episode low or saying it's "filler" seems to forgot that 90-95% of the show before this had similar episodes.
They needed to tie off loose ends before killing characters off. They can't just rush in and murder our beloved characters of 8 seasons without some final scenes.
Overall the episode had great writing (better than the past season's) and some great heartwarming scenes like Brienne's
Next Sunday is going to be freaking insane. Buckle up
