John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
It's finally brought to the end.
Like the bad sunset of one's career and this series is finally brought to an end (I hope)! So much nonsense in one well rated movie. I still don't understand who gave good reviews to such a bad movie. Without a story, without emotions, without any empathy, John Wick "refuses to die", using a suit to protect himself from bullets, defying all the laws of physics. Something like this is not even seen in fairy tales. An action film in which the old Chinese model of running on air and walls seems quite realistic. I guess the team tried to imitate the Matrix trilogy in some way and failed miserably in the attempt. A total disappointment.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
"Average" visuals, average story
Avatar: The Way of Water is a sensory experience with a few conceptual flaws. The sound effects below the surface of the water are far from the crackling sounds in the air. This could be experienced by anyone who has ever dived into the sea. The "Sky People" are mostly at the peak of their power, because that is their job: to take over Pandora in order to drain its rich resources. But the natives of Pandora, this is their home. However, you will see in the movie only children and adults who are also mostly at the peak of their power, healthy and powerful. Nowhere in the movie you will see elderly natives, like pensioners among the human race. That does not exist in Pandora (at least, it was not been seen yet). It's all shiny and beautiful. The great visual effects masked all of that very well. The mass fight scenes are truly phenomenal, but to me as a viewer who knows the basic laws of physics, it seems unreal that the large animals ridden by the natives of Pandora can so easily avoid bursts of fire by simply maneuvering left and right.
A female general who tortures members of her own race for giving away valuable information? I don't think so.
This does not mean that the movie is bad. On the contrary. But from Mr. Cameroon and the rest of the team, I really expected a better story.
If you want to check out how far the visual effects have come since the first Avatar, and/or you're in the mood to be glued to your seat for 3+ hours, I recommend watching this movie.
Stipe u gostima (2008)
It is like English humor
Yes, as simple as this. Either you understand it, or not. There's almost nothing in between. Some episodes are total miss, disaster. But most of it is a pleasure to watch how ordinary people live in apartments, day by day, strugling with they (not so ordinary) problems.
