Bloodline (2015)
Don't give up on Bloodline too soon! You'll surely regret it.
Anyone who rated Bloodline poorly simply did not have the patience to allow for this wonderful drama to evolve. Sure, the first few episodes were slow, but Bloodline blossomed in the most methodical and masterful of ways. The first half of season one was good -- not great -- but enough to keep watching. The final seven episodes, however, were phenomenal. I watched an episode here and there, periodically coming back to it over the course of maybe a month, yet couldn't refrain from binge watching the final half of the season once I reached the midway point. PLEASE do not give up on Bloodline! You will not regret seeing your way through such a brilliantly written and acted series. It will not only have you gripping your seat through countless uneasy, yet mesmerizing scenes, but will also leave you consumed with an overwhelming sense of emotion felt for these characters, pulling you in every thinkable direction. This is probably the first series I've ever seen that forced me to become so heavily invested in the entire cast of characters, loving and hating each and every one of them the same.
Survivor's Remorse (2014)
Not everyone will understand it, but those who do will surely appreciate it.
I was unpleasantly surprised to find that "Survivor's Remorse" received so many negative reviews. This was certainly one of the better shows of its genre, especially considering how well thought out the characters were. The dynamic between Cam's family wasn't only interesting, but provided us with a glimpse of what it's like to achieve rapid success while many attempt to catch a ride along with you. Give this show a shot. It didn't let me down, and quite honestly, my only complaint is that it left me wanting more. All of the characters were played perfectly, but what was probably the most intriguing and successful aspect of this entire series was how the creators managed to intertwine both his current life as an NBA star with past hauntings, while also shedding light on how success has its downside.
