Facing Mecca (2017)
Our tragedy has to be seen in this short film ..
I am Syrian, like the lead actor Jay Abdo. First I want to thank all who worked on this beautiful film, including our star Jay and his fellow European actors and producers. This is a small demonstration of how we've become; even preferring to be buried out of our home country over being sent there because unfortunately, even dead people are prone to injustice in Syria. The plot is about Fareed who wants to bury his wife in the Islamic way (facing Mecca literally), but he faces different opinions about that instead.
As Muslim refugees in Europe, we really have this conflict between people who can understand and accept us the way we are, and others who have a difficulty in accepting our different culture. Overall, the film was fair to all parties and was very good. I hope our problems end and we all come back to our homes!
Yara (2021)
Criminals are everywhere, just read the reviews for a few!
I can't understand how there are people who gave this film a bad rating or they weren't satisfied as the killer had no motive to kill. Also, there were attorneys and people who defended the killer, duh! Well? What happened to you people?? Also, the hatred because her name is Arabic while she's actually Italian, why do you make all of this??!
I am really sad to admit that criminals live among us and their crimes are different in manner but similar in bad effects.
The film was greatly directed. The cast members are talented and I got so emotional the whole time. I am really glad that it has a happy ending, otherwise I would hate everything in this world!
Blindspot: Ghost Train (2020)
One episode weighs the whole season ..
I've been watching Blindspot since the very first episode in 2015. There were some episodes/seasons that were boring and just a filler. I even thought of leaving the show at some point. Now after seeing this episode, I'm so glad that my loyalty kept me watching the show just to see such an episode. I cried literally, even more than the first episode of this season or the final of the last. It was brilliant, sad, heartbreaking and unpredictable. I just hope the ending will be as good as that despite the pain and grief that will come next. Thanks to the dear cast for such a long ride ..
I Know This Much Is True: Three (2020)
A bond beyond words ..
To think of Mark Ruffalo playing two different characters, imagining one of them confronting the other while shooting, and watching the final result of that, your mind is blown by how he was able to put you in a mood that you won't believe that this is the same person. It hurts my head and breaks my heart and the series is so painful yet so magical that I can't stop watching. You feel that Mark really dedicated himself and his skills to perform this masterpiece. And also, the appearance of young Thomas/Dominique is exquisite!! This young man has so big potentials! also playing two different roles in one scene! This show really deserves all the attention ...
Little Fires Everywhere: Picture Perfect (2020)
If you stopped watching, come back ASAP
I just want to write this review to fill the review section until other fellows reciprocate! This is so much good, so much tense, so much painful but that's the whole story in the show; truth always hurts. After an episode that was the least rated in the show, this one is absolutely captivating. Every character can make you sympathize with them in their own way! Now I can't wait for the finale, and I hope the story ends there without leaving us dying of waiting for other seasons!
You (2018)
Amazing work, wonderful casting and scenario
When I heard of a second season without Beck, I thought "what the hell would they write about?" or "how would it be valuable after that ending of season 1?". Now that I've finished season 2 I'd say "Perfectly done". Every person in this show played their role like a master and they were great. Too sad and disappointing in some parts; murders covered and murderers free are two irritating points though. The soul-twins thing was an enormous surprise. But to be honest, no matter how great this show is, I wouldn't need a third season because I am really afraid that it'll be boring or repetitive. I know they suppressed my fears in season 2 as I was afraid of it being null, but this time it's a real risk. Anyways I hope it'll be as good as both seasons, and I never doubt with Penn Badgley being the lead star of it! Thank you for this great show ..
Mr. Robot: eXit (2019)
Finale better be original or this will be for nothing ..
Before judging me, Rami, Wong ESPECIALLY and Slater were amazing in this episode, as always for sure. Now to my opinion ..
Unfortunately only one reviewer saw this episode from my perspective, and I think (hope) that many others did see it like that but they just didn't say it out loud. As a fan from the middle east, a rebel who completely understands the struggle of people against cruel unjust governments, I truly believed in this show and I loved it with all my heart. If he's gonna blow the whole thing up by changing this fact, this will be a huge disappointment. My rating barely stands for acting and directing as usual. A great cast, a great director and a lovely environment. Please don't ruin this for us. You ruined the entire idea of revolutionary! You just want us to remain silent as it's always been, since you pictured the revolution as destruction in a parallel world ..
The Morning Show: Play the Queen (2019)
I didn't want this to end. Amazing show
This episode has corrected the previous one in many aspects. Most importantly, it showed that every relationship is threatened when it comes to self favor. As if you were in a sinking ship, you eventually fight only for yourself and don't care who drowns or survives. Friendships, co-work relations, love and confidence are all threatened when something strikes! Definitely worth the wait. Can't wait for the finale!
The Morning Show: Open Waters (2019)
One episode for a lot of events
To do what they've done in one episode is something huge. Choosing the cast was pretty much the most amazing thing after directing this show. Everyone has played their own role so genuinely without being superior to each other! They're all great stars. With the fluctuation of opinions in this show between feminism, listening to the victim as well as the culprit, family strength, couples' rights, messed-up relationships, defending love and choices; it makes an attractive mix to get attached to! This show has proved that it's worth watching even for not-so-much drama fans like me, since I've loved Jennifer mostly for comedy roles as well as Steve and Reese. I mean, this is the magic itself! They are very talented in everything!
Mr. Robot: 407 Proxy Authentication Required (2019)
Proud to have my first review on this website for this episode ..
I rated some works at some times but with this show, with this episode in particular, I can't help but write an opinion more than a "review"; I'm just a BIG ordinary fan.
From the beginning of this season, I've been feeling that it was not necessary and some episodes were rather boring or slowly pacing. Even for this episode, for the first 18 mins I was like "Okay, this is all cliché and predictable, they are in the hands of a psychopath so what's next?". That was until I felt my heart beating so fast, stressing, squeezing my jaws, shouting, crying, getting angry, and getting amazed! Who thought this unbelievable twist would happen?? It's a surprising yet beautifully directed plot..
To Rami, Sam and the whole crew, I say "hats off", and I say that I'm so proud to be Arabian because of your success. No wonder Rami got an Oscar! and by the way, Vera is someone from another world!! I can never believe that he's not real and just acting. This man is as awesome as everyone else in this show.
A great episode and I'm very happy that all ratings are 10/10 so far, because it even deserves 1000/10. And to anyone who hasn't been watching this show yet, go grab a bottle of water, an anti-stress pillow and binge watch it because you lost a huge part of your life!
