Ask Mantik Intikam (2021)
It's cute and fresh
I just hope if they had taken it easy on the makeup of the character Ozark, it shows so strong and it pisses me every time I look at him, the eyeliner and the eyeshadow are very apparent, the foundation and the blush,, everything.
The series is light and nice to watch.
Sen Çal Kapimi (2020)
I would have loved to enjoy it, but..
It is so bad when producers/writers /directors underestimate the viewers by giving them used material. This is almost a copy of Erkenci Kus. At first it was ok, then the copying started and got worse. Even the little details that didn't need to be there but that made a big difference in Erkenci Kus, the necklace with the wedding ring, the time when she runs and jumps to say we r ok we r back, the smell, suddenly Serkan smells her and talks of her smell, the accident and forgetting just the time he had with her and etc etc a lot lot lot more. It's disappointing because there is chemistry between the protagonists and the series started well. I ended up skipping 3 episodes in a row and skipping during the sane episode.
Erkenci Kus (2018)
Despite the many goofs, am hooked.
It is a beautiful show that mixes laughter with love with tears and friendship. Family comes first, love is the air we breathe. This is what the show is about. However, towards the end, there are a lot of goofs and mistakes, it somehow gets silly as well, but I was still hooked, I loved it, and I love looking at Can Yaman lol he is incredibly handsome and charming.
Bir Zamanlar Çukurova (2018)
Talking of how long was The Bald and the Beautiful?
This series drags on forever, whenever something is solved they dig up problems from under the ground, just to make it last longer, I guess it is financially rewarding, can't blame them, but I couldn't keep on watching after all. The protagonist just cries, most of her life in the series and her performance relies on crying, poor thing lol I du no how much longer it will last, but for me it is more than I can take.
Benim Tatli Yalanim (2019)
I loved it!
Among Turkish series, this might be my favorite. It has all the elements, good cast, good acting, nicely drawn characters, good storyline, and it is funny, sad at times, realistic at many instances, doesn't drag on forever, and doesn't create problems just to make it longer. Really good show!
Iliski Durumu: Karisik (2015)
I rate the comedy
The show is really funny, that's why I liked watching it, gave me bursts of laughters. Otherwise the plot has many holes, acting is fair, and drama is not so good. Other than that, I just love watching Oktay, so handsome lol
If you are in for a good laugh, I recommend it.
Riviera (2017)
Déjà vu, but not cliché
I really miss Stiles on the screen, and she is a good impersonation of Georgina, good casting. I watched it back to back, and enjoyed it.
Jugar con fuego (2019)
Cliché with lots of plot holes
Heck of an attractive guy! Maybe that's why I kept watching lol
It is a cliché that's been done many times and way better. The plot holes make it so boring, and piss you off because they can change the whole scenario. Beautiful scenery, and not bad as a performance for many of the actors (many sucked big time). If you need to waste time during confinement or for any other reason, you might watch it on FWD
Yedinci Kogustaki Mucize (2019)
Formidable!!!!
You cry, you laugh, you hope, you ache because of the injustice, and you believe in humanity. Amazing performances, touching scenes of love between daughter and father. It is so moving that I was laughing as tears came down my cheeks. A beautifully drawn setting, and an incredibly cute child make her heart skip many beats. Hats down to Aras Bulut. A must see.
Never Have I Ever (2020)
Identity Crisis
How many people live in a milieu where they don't know whether they fit or not? How many times did you wonder who am I, this or that? What about a little teenager rooted in 2 civilizations equally and who is lost to which she belongs the most, one inside her house, and the other everywhere else. The strughles of a teenager are hard and most of the time they define the adult they will be. This one here sheds light on the ethnicity clash as well as on the traditions and customs of the civilizations that might tourment a kid by not knoeing which to follow, be cool and be like everybody else, or stand out and be who you actually are with no shame. I really like it.
I Am Not Okay with This (2020)
I like it
This is a very real story. I enjoued every bit of the episodes.
(500) Days of Summer (2009)
A sweet summer breeze
I really enjoyed seeing the movie. It is light, sweet, smooth, and dreamy. Love is not a stereotyped feeling, although it is commercialized, but yoi can really see hpw and why one would love. Some reasons, no reason at all, or at least not explicitly known to the person, by chance, or by building up to reach it. The details one goes through in every phase. Put it on and feel the sweet summer breeze.
Young Adult (2011)
She really exists
What Charlize embodies is not fictional, she exists, sometimes being a girl, and others being a man. We have a huge load of immature people, and unethical people, who have no problem wrecking other people's lives. Psychological problems strike the young and the old, and addiction is a result of any loss we can encounter. You will have a mixture of feelings towards this kiddish adult. I really enjoyed the movie.
Freud (2020)
Can help it, my favorite genre.
I just loved the show and got addicted. I show there were more episodes, but I guess this makes it better this way. I love everything about it, but maybe because I am a sucker for psychology and its realm. I find the talents well deserving of the roles. Beautiful story to summarize and cinematize the events of the ment revolution the world has known through Freud.
Vivir sin permiso (2018)
Same but different
I love the cast, the characters drawn, the plot, the scenario. Even though there are numerous plot holes, you still enjoy the show and it keeps you at the edge of your seat at many times. I could barely wait till the next episode at the end of every one.
The Knight Before Christmas (2019)
Not bad, not wow
It certainly has a Christmas touch to it, but too over realistic. The knight from 1300s can really adapt this fast? Ok, it is a "fairytale", the love story fits. Acting, cast, plit6 average, not bad. WATCHABLE.
Blended (2014)
I loved it
Rom-coms are so predictable yes, but I love the plot or this one. The kids make the difference, and I enjoyed watching Adam and Drew. Overall, funny, light, cheerful.
Parfum (2018)
Compelling!
Aside from the fact that I was distracted by the resemblance between Friederike Becht and Wynonna Rider and between Natalia Belitski and Dakota Johnson, I couldn't take away my eyes off the screen. Every detail, every move, it all connects and it is all a dramatic series of sad childhood the adults had which led to the murders that this series is about. It is all centered around the olfactory sense, which a group of student set on a journey to explore. This sense that we so often disregard and underestimate compared to other senses, is the main and essential sense that moves the libido and feelings of human beings according to this group of students, and they build their experiments on this theory, it even stays with them throughout their adult lives. The characters are nicely put together, the plot is unified with the events, and the psychological damage hurts at times. I love it!!
The Spy (2019)
Beautiful production, bias.
The truth, Israel never stops with espionage. And the word "taken" is used, so clearly this is a bias story, a beautifully displayed one nonetheless. Eli had an identity conflict at some point between being Eli and Kamel, that is shown in the series, if the Syrians weren't good, smart, and loyal people, he wouldn't have felt at home with and among them. Countries fight, this is what it always has been, who is rightful is relative, always has been, but talking about a people and generalizing is never fair. Note that both sides, mean nothing to me, so my review is not bias, but all productions are bias at some point, what if the writer and producer and most of the crew are the Israeli cause..
Good Girls (2018)
Bad butt mom in control
Authentic, funny, realistic problems, although not so realistic solvings, very entertaining. Women are in control, not by chance, somehow implicitly, but bluntly. These moms needed money for their families, they screwed up because they are good people, but they kept their ground and did not fail their primary focus, their families,or so they try to.
13 Reasons Why (2017)
It is a cry out for bullies and bullied.
High-school is no easy experience for kids, encourage them to cry out for help, to seek it, to ask for it without being judged. 13 RY encourages them through depressive events to do just that, just areful never to have them watch it alone. I just wonder why would they hire American actors to play British students. I am sure there are enough British people that could have taken on the roles with a perfect accent and performance. I do not agree with all that the show promotes, but it does tackle maybe the most important issues of our younger generation.
The Fall (2013)
Fascinating characters
I got hooked from the first 15 minutes. It is thrilling, smart, smooth, interesting, and intriguing. I definitely recommend it if u r into psychological thrillers!
