Wish I Was Here (2014)
Realization
This great movie has a lot to offer to its audience. It beautifully covers the struggles of a man trying to keep his family together. Watching this movie I realised the importance of expressing my feeling towards my loved ones i.e my parents, siblings, friends etc. Why do we hold back all the compliments we know that the person working, caring, saving, supporting, helping us deserves it? Why do we hold our feelings for the last moment. This movie tells us all to express everything before its too late. It also reminds us to respect each others dreams and feelings. .It is one funny and a cute movie. This movie points at all those tiny miny things and emotions which we are ignoring in this materialistic world. One prominent message: Follow your dreams and keep your family bond strong!!

pain demands to be felt!
The word 'Pained' which is also the title of this movie is very strong. It is depicted in a wonderful way in this movie. If you are looking fora dukhyaa (sad) plus sentimental movie with a touch of romance, this one is for you. I loved Nam soon's acting. The beauty of this movie lies in the fact that the hero is insensitive to pain but meeting a sick scrawny girl he surely falls in love with and knows how it feels when the person you love is hurt. It is really painful to watch Nam-soon getting beaten up for nothing. It is painful to see him blaming himself for his family's death. It is painful to see them both die at the end. It is painful to see that he prayed in the church for the girl and not for himself. It is painful to see that they don't get to live together forever(which they wanted badly). It is painful to see that they don't get to die in peace but in pain infront of all those men.
This movie shows some great and strong emotions. It also shows how far can you go for your love. It reminds us of all the pain people are going through around us. This movie surely has the potential of stabbing you off and on in the heart and making you feel the pain so beware!

could have done better
I am not going to recommend this movie to anyone. The movie progresses very slowly. There is no strong plot only a simple love story dragged for 113 minutes. Yeon-woo is awkward throughout the movie. He actually makes you sick and feel pathetic! There should have been a better end for Sook. Once Yeon-woo found out that Ha-gyeong's ex-boyfriend was the old couples dead son, there should have been something interesting done by him. After that moment the movie just runs.I got tired watching the first part but watched the other half just to kill time. There could have been a far better love story for an 18-years old girl and 30-years old guy. A little more feelings, moving scenes and a better plot would have made it a 8/10 at least!

one word: AWESOME!!
This is one of the best 2014 movies! Absolutely amazing! I enjoyed it throughout (Y) Channing Tatum hot as ever makes you droll till the very end. Jonah Hill has done a great job also. I found all his scenes totally aww-able! The good part about this movie is that the vulgar, not-to-be-watched-with-family & gross scenes were very less or I suppose there weren't anyone. Though there was a flood of the "F..k" word otherwise it was really entertaining. I'll surely recommend it to all my friends who want a break as this is one good chill-pill :D It is one colourful, light, relatable, funny and totally amazing movie. It's a relief to see that they can still make movies which are this awesome!!

Few thoughts
My friends think I'm crazy to watch Korean movies and pass comments like "seriously you downloads subtitles and watch a foreign movie".. But I ignore them and really appreciate the Korean movies. I have learnt a lot from them and usually they have something beautiful to portray.
Coming to this one, I would say that the scenes with Seung-min's friends were interesting and depicted great bonding (Y) Overall it was great but the ending was a bit vague. It's clear that they expressed their love towards each other and by the end we know that they shared first kiss and first love.. But at the end after expressing that did they get to stay together? Did he let her go as she had done in the past? Did he stay with his mother or moved to states? Obviously we want to know the clear result of their reunion, kiss towards the end and their purpose of getting close again.
