Such fun- a perfect lite quirky mystery series with beautiful locals and great actors. So much awful depressing stuff in the world we all live in these days- nice to take a "time-out" with a mug of tea and this lonely show! Hoping for a 2nd and many more series. Even found myself laughing- Mrs. Sidhu played to perfection- the perfect Auntie. I really enjoy that each episode is movie length- 1 1/2 hrs. I so often find myself disappointed when things wrap up to quickly at 45 mins. Please keep these coming- the show is not dark, blood & violence packed - there are enough of those already. Mrs Sidhu Investigates is a welcome change.

Smart, funny, beautiful location

A breath of fresh air in the British Detective genre. DS Dodds is a brilliantly written and acted character. He is a brilliant bit overlooked cop who has a 2nd chance. DCI McDonald is the perfect foil for Dodd's. The story lines are good but it is these 2 who make the show really great. Keep the episodes coming... oh and love the hour and a half length; gives you something to settle in with. Hate 45 min episode shows- feels like over before it's started.

This show is excellent. The dynamic between Oscar and Max is great to watch. The stories are wonderful. The setting- Vienna- is new not just another British Mystery tale. Please let there be more seasons... lots of them.

4 stars for 4 episodes. Wish I had come here and read the reviews about the show first I would've never started it. I absolutely hate shows that do this leave all these loose ends hanging with an ending where you're supposed to try to figure out what "you think" happens. This show was really good- tense, interesting unusual story line, some great acting. I was enjoying watching it and then I pause it for a minute during the last episode to see that there was only four minutes left and knew immediately this is going to be one of "those shows". A show with no real ending. I am really angry right now.

Big fan here of British crime and mystery series'. Inspector Lynley was one of my first introduction. Sharon Small was and is an excellent actress. She doesn't disappoint here and neither does this series. Hope they get a third series.

4 hours I can't get back. Very slow moving not sure what the point was. Felt unfinished or confused about what it wanted to be. A kinder resolution would have helped. Or less is more might have been better; really dragged. Old story already done many times & much better. Wasted talents of Fricker and McCabe.

Hate to say this...as a Hallmark Movie fan...but this one was really hard to watch. Not sure what was up with Tom Arnold. He seemed to actually wish he was anywhere but on screen. Lines were rushed and unbelievable. As Bell's dad so so bad. Felt like they hardly even knew each other. Same with Bell and Dustin. Plot was short on story. Anyway can't get that 2 hours back.

Just submitted a review but I forgot a couple things... Seems to me in my watching the series Jean was always there asking the questions that helped Lucian think through what was going on. She was always there pointing out something he might've missed. She was always helping Dr. Blake giving him things to think about that helped him move in the direction of finding who did it. Now she comes shining through. Proving she can do this just as well as he did. You go get them Jean! shows great you're great; loves the new cast. It makes for some great new faces around the dinner table joining some of the old ones. Keep it up !

I wasn't sure this show could go on without Lucian. Boy was I wrong. Jean makes a great detective. It's lovely to see her grow into her self and be something other than the " house keeper". I love the doctor Blake mysteries but I sometimes found Dr. Blake's mannerisms off putting. Sometimes they just seemed wooden & enforced. Especially the last season. I wasn't enjoying it as much as I had other seasons. But this, this new incarnation is refreshing well acted the story was great. Give it a chance I think you'll be pleasantly surprised just how good it is.

I thought it was a good solid show. Little odd for a bit seeing Tim Delay playing another Fbi agent on a different show and we've got the sidekick thing going on too...but despite that I think the show is fun and well done. I love all the "gadgets" and sorta scary access these genius twins have on just about everything and everyone. But I enjoy a show that lets me sit back and relax and for once not be watching a rehash of some of the latest headlines feed back as their latest episode. Hopefully it gets a chance to find an audience and doesn't get canceled too quickly. I hate when I invest the time get hooked on a show only to have it pulled before it gets a chance.
