The Mandalorian (2019)
Everything and more
Love IV, V and VI? This is everything and all things to the source material, done with detail, care and brilliance and alone with Rogue One is the best work to date since ROTJ for me. Brilliant, just brilliant.
Bully. Coward. Victim: The Story of Roy Cohn (2019)
Marxist Tripe
Just don't bother unless you love post modernist, Marxism in droves from children.
Extraction (2020)
Cr*p
If you want to watch something you've seen countless times before, with a plot as thin as it comes and zero surprises this is the film for you. You know when you put a film on hoping there is more to it than the trailers.......this isn't it.
Shocking, witless, tripe.
The Last Dance (2020)
Simply Amazing
I hated the bulls......I was a Jazz fan in the UK and Malone and Stockton were guys I idolised......years later watching this insight and in-depth documentary I've been blown away. The background on Kerr, Kucoc, Grant, Pippen, Rodman gave it real depth and understanding but if you've not come to watch MJ and his story then maybe watch a chickflick. Currently in episode 3, for my 3rd time watching this series. Phenomenal. My first ever 10 rating.
Peaky Blinders (2013)
First 4 seasons rating
The first 3 seasons are pretty much a perfect 10 for me. Season 4 is good but what we end up with is polished, cliched, indulged directing and art deco BS. Do not watch the last 2 seasons, whatever you do, because you will forget how brilliant this show was in it's earliest form.
The Hunt (2020)
7.5 for a witty and violent parody
So I don't quite understand the negative reviews. If you are looking for plot holes or inconsistencies then maybe watcha Michael Bay film. This is a darkly witty and violent thrill a minute, I loved the humour and the references and even the deaths were amusing. If you want serious, or action adventure maybe look elsewhere. If you want wit, entertainment and something that isn't run of the mill then give this a go, it's really quite good!
The Gentlemen (2019)
Wow
In short......Snatch is one of my favourite films of all time, most things that came after that were imitations, until now. An absolutely amazing film, loved every second. Brilliant.
The Vietnam War (2017)
First 10.
I've seen some great documentaries, series and some great films. I'd go as far to say the 2 godfather films are 9s just to give context to what this 10 represents. I've watched this twice now and where it moved me to floods of tears and anger the first time, the second time I was able to take it all in a bit better. The history of this bloody, yet despicable war should be studied, absorbed and never forgotten. Although the latter may only be true for those who lived in it or through it, the depth of understanding and feeling this entire documentary gives you is unprecedented from anything I have seen on screen. In the end it's for the viewer to decide and where it isn't palatable for this modern era to learn of something where there was no side of good or evil, or victory just loss and blame on all sides, it is absolutely necessary to learn of how governments send their people to suffer and die for a cause they are not willing to sacrifice anything of their own for. I can only hope those still living through the horrors of this war find peace in their lifetime.
